CRIME SCENE: 2 people seriously hurt after separate shootings in Hamilton

Police are seeking the public's help after two separate shootings overnight across the Hamilton area.
Hamilton Police said the first incident happened Saturday at about 7:30 p.m. near Harmony Ave. and Barton St. in the city's east end, where a vehicle travelling westbound was shot at by two people on foot.
The suspects ran south, while the victim drove to a nearby mall to contact police.
Police said one person was hospitalized with serious injuries and they suspect the shooting was targeted.
Residents and businesses in the area were asked to check their surveillance or dash cameras for footage of two people who may have been on foot.
Police also responded to a shooting in the rural Flamborough area Sunday at 3:20 a.m. after a party at a short-term rental property near Hwy. 6 and Concession Rd. 6 W. took a violent turn.
Cops said one person was hospitalized with serious injuries after a shooting.
There was no information on suspects or suspect vehicles as police also asked residents in the area to check their surveillance or dash cameras for anything suspicious.

A woman in her 20s is fighting for her life in an area hospital after a crash in Etobicoke.
Toronto Police said they responded to a crash Saturday just after 10:30 p.m. in the Park Lawn-Berry Rds. area, where a female pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and assessed by medics at the scene.
She was then taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
CityNews reported that the driver remained at the scene.
