Rivals cast kick off series two filming as they beam in behind-the-scenes pics from Disney+ set
The period drama - which is based on author Jilly Cooper's novel of the same name - premiered in the UK on streaming service Disney+, as well as in the US on Hulu back in October 2024.
Rivals became a huge hit with viewers and many were desperate to know if there would be a second series.
Then back in December 2024, the renewal was confirmed and now a first look at the new series has been shared on social media.
Disney+, Hulu, Nafessa Williams and Alex Hassell all took to Instagram to post a shared set of pictures from the set of Rivals.
In one snap Nafessa, Alex and Adrian Turner can be seen posing for a picture surrounded by greenery.

Nafessa - who plays Cameron Cook - rocked a red shirt and white wide leg trousers, while X actor Alex opted for a light pink polo shirt, white trousers and knee high brown boots.
Adian, who has taken on the role of Declan O'Hara, wore a blue polo shirt, grey trousers and rocked a very impressive moustache.
Actress Bella Maclean was all smiles as she held a clapperboard while cuddling up to a cute pooch.
She plays Agatha Taggie O'Hara in the series.
And the third picture sees Danny Dyer (Freddie Jones) and Lisa McGrillis (Valerie Jones) cosying up together in front of the camera.
They captioned the post: 'Back on set and ready for more action.
'Season 2 of #Rivals is now in production.
'Stream season 1 on Hulu and with #HuluOnDisneyPlus.'
Many fans rushed to the comments section to share their excitement.
'We're so ready my favourite cast.'
'Cannot wait.'
'I'm up. I'm awake. I'm crying. I'm excited. '
'We are so back baby! '
'Oh my god… this is too exciting… get it film! Get it edited and get it out asap.'
'Yesssssss! I've just re-binged series 1 all over again.'
Earlier this month Disney+ confirmed that Rivals will return for a second series after its huge success last year - and they have treated fans to an extra four episodes.
The first series, which was eight episodes, became a huge hit and ended on a huge cliffhanger after David Tennant's character Lord Tony Baddingham was left for dead.
Though the fate of Lord Baddingham appeared dire, it has now been confirmed that David will reprise his role in the upcoming second season in a major casting update.
The streaming service has also confirmed that they have already started filming again, with fans set to be treated to 12 new episodes.
Along with David's return, Alex Hassell will reprise his role as Rupert Campbell-Black and Aidan Turner will once again star as Declan O'Hara.
Nafessa Williams will once again take on the role of Cameron Cook, while Bella Maclean will again play Taggie O'Hara and Emily Atack will return as Sarah Stratton.
The likes of Katherine Parkinson, Danny Dyer, Claire Rushbrook, Catriona Chandler, Lisa McGrillis, Annabel Scholey and Luca Pacqalino will also be on the show.
Rivals fans previously begged Disney+ for a second series of the saucy show after binge watching all it's eight episodes in a matter of days but were forced to wait months until the news was officially confirmed.
Author and executive producer Dame Jilly Cooper said of the news: 'I'm utterly sex-static filming for the second season is upon us.
'It was magical working with Happy Prince and Disney+ on the first season and seeing everyone fall head over heels for my beloved characters.
'I'm delighted to be able to work with them again and for everyone to see what further mischief they all get up to!'
Executive producers Dominic Treadwell-Collins and Alexander Lamb added: 'We are so excited to be returning to Rutshire for an extended stay of twelve episodes for season two of Rivals.
'It's very special to have the same team return in front of and behind the cameras and we cannot wait to share more of Jilly's world with our audience.'
And Lee Mason, who is executive director of scripted content for Disney+, added: 'It's a real privilege to have this phenomenal team back together for season two of Rivals.
'From the exceptional cast, the remarkable creative team behind the camera – including the one and only Dame Jilly Cooper. Disney+ audiences are in for an absolute treat.. Rutshire here we come…'
The story is set in 1986 and follows the cut throat world of television, including the tense rivalry between Rupert Campbell-Black and Lord Tony Baddingham.

King Charles shows a bit of leg as he dons traditional Scottish attire to attend Highland Games
King Charles III proved he was chic at the knees as he donned traditional Scottish attire to attend the Mey Highland Games. The monarch, 76, was spotted solo without Queen Camilla on Saturday as he took in the colourful festivities held in Caithness each year. His Majesty looked dapper in his red, blue and green tartan kilt, which was complemented by a beige waistcoat and jacket, leather sporran and red hose. At one point the King was seen enjoying a cheeky dram of whisky before meeting participants in the day's events, which include tug o'war, caber tossing, massed pipe bands, Highland dancing, track events and novelty races. Charles was all smiles as he sat down in a marquee, with his cousin, Lady Sarah Chatto, sat behind him. The first Mey Games was held in the nearby village of Mey in 1970 to celebrate the late Queen Mother 's 70th birthday. As guest of honour on the day, she declared the event a success and encouraged its organisers to make it an annual event. In 2002 His Majesty succeeded his grandmother as Chieftain of the games and attends each year during his summer break in Caithness. Charles has an enduring love of Scotland, having spent many summers at Balmoral with the royal family, and often wears kilts when visiting the nation for engagements. The distinctive pattern on the King's kilt is known as the Balmoral Tartan, which was originally created in the 1850s by Prince Albert for Queen Victoria, symbolizing her deep connection to Scotland. It remains one of the most exclusive tartans, reserved only for use by the reigning monarch, as well as the Sovereign's Piper - the only non-royal permitted to don this tartan. Other members of the Royal Family require the sovereign's permission to wear the tartan, with the latest pattern designed 'in recognition of His Majesty's strong support in preserving the culture and traditions of Highland Dress and Scottish Tartans'. The Scottish Register of Tartans website notes that the cloth was first woven in 100% Scottish wool by Lochcarron of Scotland in Selkirk. It features 'central stripe motif (one broad and two narrow), a feature of Royal tartans previously worn by His Majesty including the Duke of Rothesay, Duke of Rothesay Hunting & Lord of the Isles Hunting tartans'. While the kilt-wearing monarch arrived alone this year, Queen Camilla has been an enthusiastic visitor in previous years. Her Majesty first attended the Games with Charles in 2002, three years before she married the then Prince of Wales. She then joined Charles at the annual jamboree on several occasions after their wedding. At each, they were seen guffawing with laughter as they took in the high-spirited atmosphere.

Grammy-nominated singer cancels his entire tour over poor ticket sales as he confesses he 'aimed too high'
JP Saxe has been forced to cancel his entire tour over poor ticket sales as he confessed he 'aimed too high'. The singer, 32, was nominated for a Grammy in 2021 for hit song If The World Was Ending, which he sang alongside his ex-girlfriend Julia Michaels. But now, he has explained that he is struggling to venues that sit just 2,000 people and needed to sell 20,000 tickets to stop his tour from being cancelled. Sharing updates to social media, he confessed he felt embarrassed but had been forced to cancel his American The Make Yourself At Home tour. The tour was planned to run for 32 dates across America, starting in September and running through to the end of October. He said: 'I'm extremely embarrassed to tell you this, but I'm going to tell you anyway. If I don't sell 20 or so thousand tickets to my tour in the next 48 hours, it's going to be cancelled. The singer, 32, was nominated for a Grammy in 2021 for hit song If The World Was Ending which he sang alongside ex girlfriend Julia Michaels 'If we're just not in a place yet to sell out these 2,000-, 3,000-cap venues – that's fine. It's always been my goal to connect deeply, not widely, and I stand by that. 'But just in case you were waiting till the week of or night of to buy a ticket – that approach just isn't going to work, because there won't be a show to buy a ticket to. 'So whether that happens or not, I'm grateful to you for caring about my songs, and I hold on to a sliver of hope that I will see you in the fall.' After his clip explaining the crucial situation, he confirmed that, despite an influx in sales, it wasn't enough to keep his tour afloat. Thanking fans for selling a few thousand extra tickets, a follow-up video saw him tell fans: 'I am beyond grateful to every one of you who bought one. 'Those few thousand tickets are a reminder that being transparent in failure sometimes can be more powerful than the façade of success – a reminder of how wonderful it can be to ask for help and watch a community come together. 'This really was the nicest the internet has ever been to me.' Tickets are believed to be refunded to the original buyer, with Saxe saying they will 'come with a small side of immense gratitude from a dorky ginger Canadian'. She went on: 'The industry standard in this situation is to offer some ego-saving explanation – ''wrong timing'', ''new opportunities,'' ''a scheduling conflict,'' ''illness,'' ''global warming…'' 'What you're not supposed to say is: ''Hey, I guess people aren't really f**king with me right now.'' I aimed too high – my bad.' Musicians Julia and JP Saxe opted to end their relationship in September 2022. after three years of dating, multiple sources confirmed to People. Julia and JP's relationship was born from their collaboration on the 2019 ballad If The World Was Ending. Although they co-wrote the track, it was credited to Saxe, with Michaels listed as the featured artist. The song reached number 27 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart, and ultimately sold more than three million units in the US. The song's success continued with the pair earned a Grammy nomination for Song of the Year, which is specifically awarded to songwriters, rather than the performing artists, though Michaels and Saxe did double duty on the track. The singer–songwriters launched their relationship shortly after collaborating on the song, and they were driven closer to each other while quarantining together at the start of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. But break-up rumours had been swirling since earlier this month, when they shared duelling social media posts that appeared to reveal break-up songs in the works.
