Another new Marvel Television series has arrived on Disney+, marking the final release of Phase Five of the MCU. The first three episodes are now streaming, but when will the rest land on the site? Ironheart reintroduces fans to Riri Williams (Dominique Thorne) following 2022's Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. In the film, Shuri and Okoye (Letitia Wright and Danai Gurira) tracked down the teen prodigy at MIT after she created a device for detecting Vibranium. She was then put under Wakandan protection and built her own Iron Man suit of armor to help against Namor's attack.
In the debut season of Ironheart, Williams is returning to her hometown of Chicago. 'Riri's going back to the heart of it all,' Thorne said in an interview with Den of Geek. 'She's going back home. She's returned to Chicago, and our girl has a lot to reflect on. The events of Wakanda shook her up and expanded her worldview. Now she has to figure out what that all means, to have been at the center of something so insane.'
The official synopsis reads, 'Her unique take on building iron suits is brilliant, but in pursuit of her ambitions, she finds herself wrapped up with the mysterious yet charming Parker Robbins (Anthony Ramos) aka 'The Hood.'"
For some quick Marvel Comics background, Williams is considered one of the most brilliant minds in the entire Marvel universe. She was ranked seventh in Marvel's official list of the smartest superheroes, just after the original Ant-Man, Hank Pym (No. 6), and before X-Men's Henry "Beast" McCoy (No. 8).

However, Dominique Thorne and Alden Ehrenreich lead this show toward a satisfying conclusion that left me excited for Marvel's next steps.'
