
Dubai Culture Launches Summer School of Life Programme with Arts, Wellness and Language Workshops
Held under the theme Hello Summer , the initiative spans multiple Dubai Public Libraries and aligns with the emirate's Quality of Life Strategy. The offerings include sessions on digital storytelling, emotional wellness, calligraphy, nutrition, and hands-on art, creating a diverse cultural and educational calendar for the season.
Highlights include The Art of Storytelling at the Reporters Training and Media Production Center, equipping content creators with tools to produce culturally rich narratives. At Hatta Public Library, health expert Nada Saeed Kattan will lead a smoothie-making session under the Health & Nutrition Club, while Jehan Safar conducts confidence and wellness workshops for women and families.
Art-focused sessions at Al Safa Art & Design Library range from Van Gogh-inspired painting with Abeer Al Edani to traditional Barjeel-themed pencil holders with StuDIYo Lab. Medaf Creative Studio will also host marine and plaster art projects.
Language and cultural experiences are also featured. Al Mankhool Library offers a French for Beginners course and a Japanese Kakigori dessert workshop. Gino Banola will introduce Baybayin calligraphy in a unique session blending Filipino heritage and beachwear design.
To celebrate emerging talent, Dubai Culture has also launched the School of Life Photography Exhibition , showcasing photography as a powerful medium for storytelling and heritage preservation.
