Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Guy Sebastian for comment.
Guy is one of Australia's most recognisable music stars, and his image is likely being used to lure unsuspecting users due to his high public profile.
It is the second time in the past month the singer's image has been used by scammers, after a similar picture of him with a black eye was shared in June.
While the picture was clearly fake, many Reddit users questioned why they were seeing the image online.
'Anyone else getting spammed with weird fake Guy Sebastian news story ads?' one person asked.
'I wonder how they choose what celeb to target. Someone enough people know to maybe be interested, but not know well enough to know it's bull***t,' another wrote.
It comes after Guy recently recalled the time he was held at gunpoint by multiple police officers in Los Angeles on suspicion of grand theft auto.
The Australian singer said a knee was placed on his body while a gun was pressed against his face into 'wet concrete'.
During an interview on Nova's Smallzy's Surgery with Kent 'Smallzy' Small in April, Guy recounted his terrifying ordeal.
The incident, which occurred in 2011 when Guy was living and working in the United States at age 29, was confirmed by his management to the Sydney Morning Herald at the time.
Guy told radio host Smallzy his car - 'bought on eBay' - was illegally towed by a dodgy company and taken to an undisclosed location without telling him.
The company was attempting to exploit a legal loophole, which allowed them to sell impounded cars if they were not claimed by the owner within three months.
Upon picking up his car from the impound lot, Guy called police to notify them that the car was no longer missing or stolen.
After 45 minutes of being left on hold, Guy decided to drive to a local car wash while he waited to speak to police.
'One police car pulls up in the next wash bay. I'm on the phone to the sheriff and I see another pull up. Next, there's cops with guns drawn, screaming: "ON THE GROUND!"' he explained.
The car was still showing in the police system as stolen, as Guy had not yet changed the status.

Man's terrifying discovery after setting up camera to work out why food was going missing
An actor was living with his girlfriend in New York City when he noticed that his food was going missing - so he set up a hidden camera in the kitchen to catch the culprit New York-based actor Joe Cummings was living with his girlfriend when he noticed something strange - his food kept disappearing. Sure he wasn't imagining things, he initially suspected his girlfriend was sneaking late-night snacks. But when she denied it, Joe decided to get to the bottom of the mystery by installing a hidden camera in the kitchen. It comes after a woman claimed 'My friend is naming her baby after a fish – she can't see how ugly it is'. What he discovered was far more disturbing than he ever expected. Rather than catching his girlfriend red-handed, the footage revealed something straight out of a horror film: a woman he didn't recognise slowly emerging from a storage loft above the kitchen in the dead of night. She climbed down onto a table, used the kitchen sink as a toilet, drank from the fridge, and helped herself to food from the pantry. At one point in the footage, shared on YouTube, Joe himself walks into the kitchen, unaware of the intruder silently hiding just out of view. After reviewing the shocking clip in 2009, Joe immediately left the apartment and called the police. When officers arrived, they found the woman still hiding in the loft. According to Joe, she had set up a makeshift sleeping area with a blanket in the crawl space, which extended surprisingly deep into the building's structure and had no ventilation. 'The police officers thought she had been living there for at least a couple of weeks,' Joe later explained. 'I had no idea who she was. She didn't say much when the cops came and took her out.' Joe speculated that the woman may have entered through a fire escape window and decided to stay, possibly after initially breaking in to rob the place. Police added that this wasn't the first time they had encountered a squatter living secretly in someone's home. Ultimately, Joe chose not to press charges, saying he 'felt bad' for the woman, describing her behaviour as almost 'feral.' The unsettling footage was later uploaded to YouTube, where it quickly went viral - unnerving millions of viewers around the world.

Police launch desperate manhunt after man is seen prowling streets of Lancashire wearing just a gimp mask
Police have launched an urgent manhunt after a nude man was seen prowling the streets of Lancashire in a gimp mask. The odd sighting was captured on doorbell cameras as the man passed houses in the town of Lytham at around 1am on Friday, July 18. The unnerving footage was later shown to Lancashire Police, with the force now issuing a desperate public appeal for information. Officers have also requested that any individuals with similar CCTV footage get in touch. Describing the bizarre incident as 'concerning', a spokesperson for the force said: 'We are aware of a concerning video circulating on social media of a naked male wearing a face covering walking around Lytham in the early hours of the morning. 'This occurred in the area of Westby Street, Cleveland Road and Bannister Street. 'We can confirm this incident occurred on the 18th July 2025 at approximately 00.50am. 'This incident was not initially reported to police and has only been brought to our attention after it has been viewed on Facebook.' The spokesperson confirmed that Fylde Rural Task Force are currently in the process of conducting both CCTV and house enquiries. They also added that the publish should be 'reassured' that officers are 'taking this matter seriously'. The shocking incident is just the latest in a run of gimp men sighted across the UK, with the country in the grips of an ongoing crisis. In 2019, residents of the sleepy Somerset village of Claverham spotted a man clad head to toe in latex, skulking around a quiet cul-de-sac. On his mask, he had crudely etched a face with bright red crosses for eyes and a snarling cut mouth wrenched into a permanent smile. Dubbed the 'Somerset Gimp', Joshua Hunt, from Claverham, was found guilty in late 2023 after he scared female drivers while dressed in a black gimp suit and mask. While he avoided jail, Hunt was banned for five years from wearing masks, dressing in all-in-one-black outfits at night and 'crawling, wriggling or writhing on the ground' in public. During a hearing at Bristol Magistrates' Court in 2023, he was convicted of two offences under the Public Order Act of intentionally causing harassment, alarm or distress. Lawrence Wilcox, representing Avon and Somerset Police, told the hearing that Hunt had been linked to 25 incidents in total. He had previously been arrested on suspicion of causing a public nuisance over a series of other 'gimp' incidents in the Cleeve, Claverham and Yatton areas last year. Many of these also saw a man rolling around the floor and making threatening noises towards people he appeared in front of late at night. But police said insufficient evidence meant no further action was taken in relation to those offences. The court heard that during a search of Hunt's home in Claverham, officers found a journal in which he had written a story about someone called Jack who purchases a black rubber suit and mask with white paint on the mask. 'The face was looking like something out of a horror film - a face that would scare the life out of anyone,' Hunt wrote. In October 2023, a gimp sighting was recorded by trick-or-treaters in Gloucester, who spotted a figure clad head-to-toe in black as they celebrated Halloween. The unknown gimp man was described by locals as 'scrawny' and 'menacing' as it briefly antagonised the residents of Twigworth on October 31. The mystery figure was spotted late at night heading toward the Bloor Homes development on Tewkesbury Road before disappearing into the night. James Patterson, who spotted the gimp, said: 'I was just taking my son out 'Trick or Treating' when I saw a black, scrawny, somewhat menacing looking figure darting and dodging down the roads in the Bloor housing estate.' Meanwhile, in Colchester, Essex, a gimp went viral during the Covid-19 pandemic after he documented himself shopping in Tesco dressed in a full gimp suit. Dubbed the 'Gimp Man of Essex', evidence of his strange behaviour dates back to 2014. However, unlike other gimps, who seem to want to spread terror, the Essex Gimp has in the past suggested alternative motives. In July 2022, he suggested he wanted to raise £1,000 for the charity Mind in mid and north-east Essex. He said: 'I'm a normal guy who just likes wearing the suit. It's a bit of an escape for me.' In late October 2022, a teenager reported a 'freaky' encounter with a man dressed in a gimp suit in Cleeve, North Somerset, at around 12.25am. A man in his 30s was later arrested on suspicion of causing a public nuisance and was released on bail. Theatre-goers at London's iconic Shakespeare Globe were also left shocked after a man dressed in a gimp suit attended a showing of The Comedy of Errors in May 2023. One audience member told The Daily Telegraph how the outfit 'extremely inappropriate' and that it made others feel uncomfortable. The concerned woman said: 'Even if a child doesn't know what a latex suit is or the sexual connotations, it's still a very scary sight and puts parents in a very uncomfortable position when it comes to explaining to their children what is going on. 'I found the whole thing extremely inappropriate and I wasn't the only one – a lot of people were obviously uncomfortable with his presence.' In March last year, two alleged sightings of so-called 'gimp men' were recorded across both Sussex and Suffolk. A dog walker, who chose to not be identified, reported encountering someone wearing 'very see-through tights' and a 'balaclava', while in Suffolk, women and girls were left fearing for their safety after alleging being followed by a masked man in a picturesque market town in Suffolk.

Emmerdale confirms new romance for 2 favourite characters
It seems a connection between Belle Dingle and Kammy Hadiq is 'on the cards' on the ITV soap, following suspicions from viewers over the last few weeks. Recently, many spotted Shebz Minah (who plays Kammy) posted a picture of him sitting on a sofa alongside Eden Taylor-Draper (Belle). The happy snap certainly got fans talking as one commented: ''Kammy and Belle?? Could this be a future relationship.' Another said: 'Omg, are they getting together on Emmerdale? If so, I saw it coming a mile away.' The rumoured on-screen romance was "announced" by the two cast members themselves, in a video posted on Emmerdale's social accounts. In the clip filmed for Yorkshire Day, Shebz and Eden were 'spilling the tea' on spoilers, stories and things 'they may not know about each other or the show'. As Eden pulled a rolled-up piece of paper from a teapot with a hidden message, Shebz responded: 'It's a big one this.' Eden continued: 'Spoiler – it's to do with me and you. 'A romance is on the cards for Kammy and Belle. 'How do you feel about that Shebz?' A post shared by Emmerdale (@emmerdale) Shebz revealed: 'It's been amazing, like the scenes we've had have been so fun. 'It's been a mixed bag because I think for Kammy and Belle, they go on like this journey and that. "And I think it's just nice to have like a bit of normality and mixed with a bit of banter. You get all these different feelings that happen during the scene. It's been really enjoyable. I'm not going to lie, I've really enjoyed it." Eden added: 'Stay tuned to see what's next.' Belle's last relationship saw the character physically and mentally abused by her husband Tom King, played by James Chase, before he was sent to prison. Which is why Emmerdale fans think Kammy is 'just what Belle needs' after 'Tom the sociopath'. Reacting to the video on the ITV's soap Reddit page, this person wrote: 'love kammy,he makes me laugh. I think they would be a fab couple.' Someone else commented: 'I am all for it ,just what Belle needs after Tom the sociopath!' One account said: 'Oh I think I love this! Belle needs someone fun and a bit carefree. Kant [Kammy] has an absolute heart of gold and he'll bring some much needed cheer to belles life."
