Vijay Deverakonda Recovers From Dengue, Will Begin Kingdom Promotions Soon: Report

Kingdom was originally set to release on March 30 but was delayed due to production-related hurdles.
Vijay Deverakonda has reportedly been discharged and is now recuperating at home. Reportedly, he was admitted to a hospital due to dengue. However, sources close to the actor have confirmed that he is recovering well and will soon resume work commitments.
India Today has reported that Vijay is now recovering and has been discharged from the hospital. 'He's slowly getting back on his feet. While doctors have advised rest, the actor is keen on sticking to his work commitments as much as possible. He's doing much better now. He is at home recovering and responding well to the treatment. Vijay will be doing a couple of interviews in Telugu to kickstart the promotional campaign," a source close to the actor shared.
It should also be noted that the report of Vijay Deverakonda's being diagnosed with dengue came at a time when the actor is gearing up for the release of his next movie, Kingdom. Directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, the Telugu-language spy action thriller will hit the theatres on July 31.
Kingdom stars Vijay Deverakonda alongside Bhagyashri Borse and Satyadev, and is backed by S. Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under the banners of Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas. Touted to be a high-octane commercial entertainer, Kingdom was originally set to release on March 30 but was delayed due to production-related hurdles.
Reportedly, Kingdom might not release for the Hindi audiences. According to 123 Telugu, the makers did not make a release date announcement for the Hindi version. This has sparked speculation that the team has skipped a theatrical release for Hindi and may be planning to release directly on Netflix.
'Netflix had originally signed a different deal with the makers. However, due to multiple delays, the streaming platform reportedly urged the team to release the film in theatres as soon as possible. Releasing the Hindi version without backing from major multiplex chains wouldn't be profitable, and the rule that requires at least eight weeks between a theatrical release and its OTT debut would further complicate things. To avoid these challenges, the team is said to have decided to skip a theatrical release for the Hindi version and opt for a direct OTT release instead," the report mentioned. An official clarification from the team is still awaited.

This is so pathetic to see Indian girls dancing in office an d welcoming a foreign client and the becahra client also forced to dance. Such showcasing will only make other countries feel Indian offices are causal and not worthy of serious work," a user wrote in the caption along with the video post on X (formerly Twitter). The video has sparked a heated debate online, with some people praising the employees' enthusiasm and cultural expression, while others criticise it as unprofessional and embarrassing. Some users defend the video, saying it's a lighthearted way to build camaraderie and showcase Indian hospitality. "This person will go back and announce Layoffs understanding how many extra people he hired," another wrote. Meanwhile, a third user said, "This is done in most workplaces to break the fatigue of sitting behind a desk and doing a mental reset. It helps with the physical as well as mental wellbeing of these workers."
