MP distributes aids, assistive devices in Mysuru
A large number of beneficiaries received the benefits during the 'Samajik Adhikarita Shivir', organised for the Divyangjans under the Assistance to Persons with Disabilities for Purchase/Fitting of Aids /Appliances(ADIP) scheme.
Under the title 'Empowering the Divyangjan through aids and assistive devices', the differently-abled persons received the benefits from Mr. Yaduveer.
As many as 638 male beneficiaries and 138 female beneficiaries received the aids and devices, which include tricycles, motorised tricycles, wheel chairs, elbow crutches, axilla crutches, CP wheel chair, walking sticks, Braille cane, Braille kit, BTE hearing aids and others, a note said.

Devotional fervour marks Chamundeshwari Vardhanti celebrations
The Chamundeshwari Vardhanti celebration was held amidst devotional fervour with a large number of people taking part in the annual festival at Chamundi Hills on Thursday. There were special rituals and ceremonies to mark the Vardhanti celebrations and the religious rites signalling the commencement of the celebrations, commened at 4 a.m. The processional idol of the deity - Goddess Chamundeshwari – was given a ceremonial bath in the sacred waters followed by other rituals like Panchamrutha Abhisheka, etc. This was followed by Rudrabhisheka, Kumkumarchane or rituals with vermillion, and chanting of the Sahasranama or the 1,000 names of the goddess. After the completion of the rituals, the processional idol was placed in the palanquin amidst religious paraphernalia and was brough out of the temple in a procession. Members of the police band, accompanied by an ensemble of muscians playing 'mangala vadya', accompanied the procession while the presence of ceremonial umbrella and the chamara or the whisk, added to the religious spirit. Mysuru MP Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar, Chamundeshwari MLA G.T. Deve Gowda, Pramoda Devi Wadiyar, and others were present. The district administration had made elaborate arrangements in anticipation of large number of devotees while additional police forces were deployed for security. In a bid to manage traffic and crowding, private vehicles were barred to enter Chamundi Hills and the public had to use the KSRTC buses specially deployed for the purpose. It was a free shuttle introduced by the authorities and transported the devotees from the Lalitha Mahal helipad grounds, to Chamundi Hills and back. Pandals were erected in different parts of the city as special poojas were also organised and prasadam was distributed to the public as part of the Vardhanti celebrations.

MP for Mysuru Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar on Monday distributed aids and assistive devices to the differently-abled beneficiaries at a camp in Mysuru on Monday. Min launches disability aid camp in Bhagalpur
1 2 3 4 Bhagalpur: Union minister of state for social justice and empowerment, B L Verma , inaugurated the four-day 'Saamajik Adhikarita Shivir' at the Sandy's Compound Ground here on Tuesday. As part of the event, free tricycles, wheelchairs, hearing aids, crutches, walking frames and other prosthetic devices were distributed under the Centre's Assistance to Disabled Persons (ADIP) and Rashtriya Vayoshri Yojana (RVY) schemes. Speaking at the event, Verma said, "It is great to be at Bhagalpur to help out the differently-abled and senior citizens by handing over the disability aid to the registered beneficiaries. PM Narendra Modi and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar have always thought of helping the downtrodden and needy." He added that the equipment would "improve the existence of beneficiaries who suffer from age-related disabilities or infirmities". A total of 1,720 beneficiaries from Bhagalpur district have registered under the ADIP and RVY schemes. Of these, 636 fall under ADIP and 1,084 under RVY, both implemented by the ministry of social justice and empowerment.
