'Continuous padhna padega': NEET UG 2025 topper Mahesh Kumar reveals strategy to score 99.99%; here's what he said

Rajasthan's Mahesh Kumar, who topped NEET-UG exam this year, shared insights to qualify the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Under-graduate (NEET UG) exam. He urged students to refrain from falling into the trap of overconfidence or under confidence and suggested that one must have fixed schedule and maintain good health during preparation.
'I studied at Guru Kripa Career Institute for three years, and my strategy was simple, consistent study without falling into the trap of overconfidence or under confidence. Regularity, a fixed timetable, and taking good care of my health were key,' PTI quoted NEET-UG All India Rank 1 holder as saying.
Stressing the need for a structured study plan and self-care, he advised students to practice time management and said, "As a Hindi medium student, I did feel nervous at first, but my coaching institute supported me throughout. To my juniors, I'd say — follow a schedule, time management is something you learn best through regular mock tests."
He scored 99.9999547 percentile in the NEET UG results announced on June 14. Utkarsh Awadhiya from Madhya Pradesh obtained Rank 2 and Krishang Joshi from Maharashtra secured Rank 3.
Avika Aggarwal from Delhi emerged as the female topper in NEET UG 2025 exam, who secured an All India Rank 5 with 99.9996832 percentile. Aashi Singh from Delhi with AIR 12, secured second spot among top performing females.

Sub Lieutenant Aastha Poonia created history by becoming the first woman to be inducted into the fighter stream of naval aviation, reported PTI on Friday. Sub Lieutenant Aastha Poonia will now undergo training to qualify as a fighter pilot. Earlier on 3 July, Sub Lieutenant Poonia and Lieutenant Atul Kumar Dhull received the prestigious 'Wings of Gold' from Rear Admiral Janak Bevli, Assistant Chief of Naval Staff (Air) at the winging ceremony, the defence ministry said in a statement. "Sub Lt Aastha Poonia becomes the first woman to be streamed into the fighter stream of naval aviation, shattering barriers and paving way for a new era of women fighter pilots in the Navy," it said. The Indian Navy celebrated the graduation of the Second Basic Hawk Conversion Course at INS Dega, Visakhapatnam. Earlier, the Indian Navy had inducted women officers as pilots and naval air operations officers in Maritime Reconnaissance (MR) aircraft and helicopters. With Sub Lt Aastha Poonia's streaming into the fighter stream, Indian Navy's commitment towards "gender inclusivity in naval aviation" has been highlighted.

Last Updated: JEECUP Seat Allotment Result: Candidates who participated in the counselling process can check their allotment status on the official website at The Joint Entrance Examination Council, Uttar Pradesh (JEECUP) has released the UPJEE counselling round 1 seat allotment result 2025 today, July 4, 2025. Candidates who participated in the counselling process can check their allotment status on the official website at UPJEE is a state-level entrance exam for admission to diploma-level technical programmes in engineering, technology, and other fields. These programmes are offered by both government and private polytechnic institutions in Uttar Pradesh. To be eligible for the exam, candidates must have completed Class 10 or 12 (depending on the specific course) from a recognised board. The Freeze/Float Option is available for all candidates from July 4 to July 6, 2025. During this time, applicants can either freeze their allotted seat or choose to float and wait for a better option in the next round. The Security Deposit and Counselling Fee must be paid between July 4 and July 6, 2025. Document Verification will take place at designated district help centres from July 4 to July 7, 2025. Seat Withdrawal for Round 1 is scheduled for July 8, 2025. Please note that the first three counselling rounds are exclusively for candidates from Uttar Pradesh. The JEECUP 2025 round 2 choice filling will be held between July 9 and 11 with the seat allotment results set to be announced July 12. The third round will commence on July 18 and the seat allotment result will be issued on July 21. The 2025-26 academic session will begin in August 1.
