Meet Elizaveta Krivonogikh, the secret daughter of Vladimir Putin

Elizaveta Krivonogikh , also known by her social media alias Luiza Rozova , has long lived in the shadows of speculation—allegedly as the secret daughter of Russian President Vladimir Putin . Now 22, she is stepping into the spotlight with a bold public stance, revealing her face and voice after years of silence. Elizaveta recently posted emotional messages on her private Telegram channel, seemingly referencing her father. In one of her posts, she wrote, 'The man who took millions of lives and destroyed mine,' signaling a sharp criticism of Putin's actions and their personal impact on her life. According to reports in Bild , cited by The Sun , she added, 'It's liberating to be able to show my face to the world again. It reminds me of who I am and who destroyed my life.' Once known for flaunting a lavish lifestyle—travelling by private jet, DJing at upscale venues, and wearing high-end fashion—Luiza disappeared from Instagram around the time Russia invaded Ukraine. Her silence has now been broken, replaced by a more politically conscious identity. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like This Could Be the Best Time to Trade Gold in 5 Years IC Markets Learn More Undo Born on March 3, 2003, in St. Petersburg, Elizaveta is reportedly the daughter of Putin and Svetlana Krivonogikh, a former cleaning woman whose sudden wealth after Luiza's birth sparked investigations. Russian investigative outlet Proekt first brought the alleged connection to light in 2020, suggesting financial support from Putin. Now living in Paris, Elizaveta graduated from the ICART School of Cultural and Art Management in June 2024. She currently works under the name Elizaveta Rudnova —a possible nod to Putin's late confidant Oleg Rudnov—at L Galerie in Belleville and Espace Albatros in Montreuil. These galleries are known for their anti-war exhibitions and support for dissident art. Live Events Her involvement in the art world hasn't gone unnoticed. Russian artist Nastya Rodionova cut ties with the galleries, arguing that no one connected to the Kremlin—biologically or otherwise—should share space with war victims. Yet others in the Parisian art scene have defended Elizaveta. Dmitry Dolinsky, director of L Association, stated, 'She looks like Putin, but so do 100,000 other people. I haven't seen a DNA test.' Colleagues describe her as professional, cultured, and committed to her work. Elizaveta's mother, Svetlana, was sanctioned by the UK government in 2023 due to her ties to Putin's inner circle, further fueling belief in the family connection. Once a symbol of wealth and privilege, Elizaveta Krivonogikh has redefined herself as an artist and critic of the regime many believe her father controls. Whether or not a DNA test confirms her lineage, her journey is one of a young woman trying to reclaim her identity and voice in a world shaped by power, secrecy, and war.

Telugu states top South India in court case backlog

Hyderabad: The Telugu states have recorded the highest rise in pending cases among South Indian states in district and subordinate courts, with a worrying 38% spike in pendency between 2020 and 2025. In Telangana, the number of pending cases grew from 6.91 lakh on Dec 31, 2020, to 9.54 lakh as of July 28, 2025. Similarly, Andhra Pradesh saw its backlog increase from 6.49 lakh to 8.99 lakh during the same period. Legal experts say the reasons behind the surge are multifold, from habitual adjournments to unfilled judicial vacancies and poor witness turnout. 'The biggest problem in both states is that instead of aiming for closure, parties or their advocates keep seeking adjournments. Even a simple case ends up dragging for years,' said Ch Sudheer Kumar, senior advocate from Hyderabad. The same goes for doctors and witnesses.' Another major hurdle is the shortage of judges. 'Vacant posts are worsening the problem. In-charge judges, already overburdened, can only assign new hearing dates and rarely get to conduct actual proceedings,' Kumar pointed out. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 20 Pieces of Clothing you should Ditch over 40 Learn More Undo Renuka Yeradesi, another senior advocate, said litigants are also partly responsible. 'Clients often hide information, especially in family court matters. Once one side makes an allegation, the other comes up with a counter without revealing the full picture. This delays the trial process further,' she said. According to figures presented in the Lok Sabha, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka reported relatively lower increases in pending cases, at 24.5% and 29.3%, respectively. Kerala, notably, reduced its pendency by 16.47% over the same period. Nationally, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana stand at eighth and ninth positions in terms of pendency growth. Though the absolute numbers are fewer, Manipur topped the list with a staggering 98% increase, followed by Jammu and Kashmir and West Bengal.

Donald Trump's new salvo: Indian refiners may have to find new markets

MUMBAI: In addition to Indian refiners resuming their procurement of crude oil from the West Asia, Guyana, Brazil, the US, and Canada, US President Donald Trump 's new salvo on Monday could mean that refiners will have to seek new markets for their refined products derived from crude oil. Less than a week after the US announced a 25% tariff on imports from India "plus a penalty", Trump on Monday again raised the issue of India buying oil from Russia and profiting from it, adding that he would be "substantially" raising the tariff "paid by India to the USA". Before the start of the Russia-Ukraine war, Indian refiners imported 85% of crude oil from the Gulf countries, and Russian oil accounted for less than 0.2% of India's imports at $5.2 billion. But after the war began, this share went up to 35-40% of the country's crude intake, helping reduce overall energy import costs and contain inflation. By the end of December 2024, imports from Russia climbed to $56 billion, a nearly 10-fold increase. According to the Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell, under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas , last fiscal year India's exports of petroleum products grew by 3.4% in volume terms to 64.7 million tonnes in FY25, on the back of increased shipments of motor spirit (petrol), petcoke, and fuel oil. However, in value terms, the exports declined by almost 7% to $44.3 billion during the fiscal year compared with $47.7 billion in the year ago. The dip in export value was due to subdued prices in the current year. Live Events
