QNA
Doha
The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) on Saturday concluded the Qatfa programme in collaboration with Ajial Altarbwy Centre.
The ceremony was held at the Cultural Village Foundation (Katara), in the presence of Minister of Education and Higher Education HE Lolwah bint Rashid bin Mohammed Al Khater, and the participation of a number of officials, educators, and parents.
The Qatfa programme is one of the pioneering educational initiatives launched to provide a comprehensive educational and skills model for young people that combines education and entertainment on the one hand, and cognitive empowerment and the promotion of religious and national values on the other.
The programme, which ran from August 2023 to June 2025, offered six consecutive seasons, two per academic year. During these seasons, it witnessed a wide turnout from various age groups and covered educational, cultural, sports, and skill-based aspects. The programme featured a comprehensive educational experience, during which a specialised educational team supervised and guided the participants to discover their talents in a safe and stimulating environment.
As part of its community engagement, the programme organised several humanitarian and environmental initiatives, particularly support for those affected by the earthquake in Turkiye in cooperation with Qatar Charity, and the provision of school supplies in cooperation with the Qatar Red Crescent Society. It also implemented environmental initiatives in cooperation with the ministries of municipality and environment aimed at promoting environmental awareness among children through volunteer and awareness-raising activities.
The programme involved 1,867 boys and girls, who benefited from carefully considered skills, in addition to 27 local trips and two international trips, which contributed to broadening their horizons and refining their personalities.
At the closing ceremony, the ministry honoured the programme's sponsors and participants, emphasising that Qatfa represented a comprehensive educational experience spanning three years, combining values and knowledge, fun and ambition, and playing a role in shaping a generation that is aware of its identity and committed to serving its nation and community.
