Sky dishes out new iPhone 16 at 'lowest ever' price, no wonder it's selling fast

Daily Mirrora day ago
Fancy a new iPhone in your pocket? Sky has a deal that is dishing out these latest devices for just £18 per month.
It's not often that Apple devices seem affordable, but that's exactly what Sky Mobile is offering right now. The UK mobile network has confirmed a deal that's offering the iPhone 16e at its 'lowest ever' price. That means you can take delivery of this 2025 device for just £18 per month with no upfront fee.
This deal has clearly gone down well, with Sky confirming that it's currently in demand and proving 'popular'.
Now, before you get too excited about the thought of owning a new iPhone 16e for just £18 per month, it's worth noting that this offer only includes a tiny 100MB of data.
That's clearly not enough for most users, but you can bolt on more internet access by paying a bit extra. For example, 10GB will add an extra £7 to your bill, whilst 50GB will push things up by another £10.

It's also worth noting that you will need to sign up for a 36-month deal. So, when you buy the device with 10GB of data you'll pay a total of £900 over the term.
So, how does that compare to buying the iPhone 16e from Apple and then adding a SIM?
The iPhone 16e starts from £599. You could then get an 8GB SIM from firms such as SMARTY for £7 per month. If you add these together, the total price is £851 over three years. That's slightly cheaper than Sky, but you will need to pay £599 upfront to buy the device.
So, if you fancy this deal, what do you get for your money?
This is a top-rated smartphone that gets plenty of upgrades. Those switching to Apple's flagship get a Super Retina XDR display, an impressive A18 processor, decent dual-lens camera and long battery life.
It's also made of tough stuff and comes in a number of fruity colours, including Ultramarine, Teal and Pink.
On the side of the case is also the addition of the Camera Control button, which lets you snap images without touching the screen.
The iPhone 16 is also one of the only devices that is compatible with Apple Intelligence. This means it can write emails, sort inboxes and retouch photos automatically.

'I'm heading on holiday soon - and I'm snapping up this £9 Samsung SmartTag2 deal'

Holidaymakers are flying off during the summer - and I'll be picking up this Samsung SmartTag 2 deal thanks to TopCashback Summer is here - and in the coming months, my partner and I will be travelling away to Scotland for a glorious week-long trip. However, both of us tend to be very clumsy when we pack away for a week. Things tend to go missing, and there have been times in the past when we've forgotten bags and valuables, much to our dismay. But the great thing about modern tech is that Bluetooth trackers have become extremely useful, especially for people like ourselves who love to misplace things. They are so good, in fact, that you can track down items with your phone within inches of where the Bluetooth tracker is. With my fiancé and I both owning a Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, there's one Bluetooth tracker deal we're both going for—and it's this Samsung SmartTag 2 deal, thanks to TopCashback. It's robust, has an IP67 rating, making it dust—and water-resistant, and is a fantastic travel companion due to its impressive battery life. Argos is offering the SmartTag 2 for £23.99 on its website - but there's a way to get it for only £9. But how do customers secure this deal? Well, registering for TopCashback will earn them a free £15 on top of the cashback they receive from Argos. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to bag the deal: Snap up the Samsung SmartTag2 Bluetooth tracker for £9 from Argos Begin by signing up as a new member via this TopCashback link. Find Argos on the site and hit 'Get Cashback Now'. Shop and check out as usual on the Argos website. Sit tight; cashback will track and pop up in your TopCashback account within seven working days of the transaction. New members of TCB and fresh faces at Argos can snag the SmartTag2 for a mere £8.69 post-cashback, while new TCB devotees who are already Argos regulars will only have to shell out £8.79 after cashback. There are also many other options to choose from, such as the Tile Mate, priced at £20. The Tile Mate has proved a popular choice for Apple and Android fans who want cheaper alternatives to other official Bluetooth trackers. The Tile Mate works with most phones and has great cross-compatibility. Apple fans could go for the Apple AirTag, which comes in at £28 - Apple's official Bluetooth tracker that only works with Apple devices. The SmartTag2 is causing quite the buzz amongst users and has been receiving heaps of positive feedback. One satisfied customer recounted their initial scepticism and eventual satisfaction: "I was dubious at first, being solely reliant on Bluetooth and locked into the Samsung ecosystem, but it has worked well and stood up to the tests of frequent global air travel." They further elaborated: "Now have multiple tags for all my luggage and carry-on when travelling for work and have been able to track my bags without any issue even when my bags have landed up in a different location to me." Echoing this sentiment, another globe-trotting user offered their endorsement: "If you're a Samsung Galaxy owner, I would highly recommend it. Small, compact, robust, with great battery life."
