Man seriously injured in assault in Pickering, two suspects wanted
A man has been seriously injured after an alleged assault in Pickering over the weekend.
Durham police said officers responded to an 'unknown trouble' call just before 5 p.m. on June 28 at a home in the area of Chapman and Cornwall drives.
They say two males went to the home and a physical altercation happened between them and one of the residents.
The suspects then fled the area.
Police say officers found three people in the house and one was suffering from serious injuries. They were taken to the hospital with serious, non-life-threatening injuries.

2 dead, 3 in critical condition after Canada Day crash near Wetaskiwin

RCMP said the crash between a pickup truck and a small SUV was reported on Highway 2A just south of the city's limits at about 7:30 p.m. Arriving officers pulled two people out the truck before it caught fire, Mounties said, and both were taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. A 61-year-old California man and a 64-year-old Wetaskiwin woman from the SUV were found dead at the scene. RCMP said one passenger from the SUV was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. All three people in hospital remained in critical condition on Thursday. RCMP said officers are investigating the role alcohol may have played in the crash.

Hamilton police released images of a suspect after alleged 'hate-related graffiti' was found on a home and business in the city's east end. Hamilton police are investigating alleged 'hate-related graffiti' found on a home and business in the city's east end earlier this week. Police say they believe the graffiti—which they describe as a racist slur—was sprayed on a building on Barton Street East, near Lottridge Street and Barnesdale Avenue North, between the hours of 1 and 9 a.m. on July 2. Investigators are currently canvassing the area for video surveillance but released images of the suspect wearing what appears to be an all white sweatsuit with black shoes, and a black and white crossbody bag.
