Brad Pitt says he needed ‘rebooting' after divorce with Angelina Jolie, recalls joining Alcoholics Anonymous to cope with alcohol addiction
While talking to fellow actor Dax Shepard on his podcast, Pitt revealed how AA was a game changer for him, and when asked about whether he was comfortable talking about it, Pitt was very open and honest about how he and Dax actually met and bonded with each other for the first time. 'Actually I am quite at ease, not nervous at all. It was a men's group, and it was my first time getting sober, and I just thought there was an incredible level of 'sharing' – listening to people's experiences, their foibles, missteps, wants and aches – and there was a lot of humour with it. Coming from the background or situations I have been raised in, where you just pretend like everything is okay, it was a great feeling. I just needed to reboot, and wake up.'

Pitt appreciated Dax and how he made him feel during those AA meetings and said, 'He would usually be the last person to share, and he was like the elder statesman of the meeting. I just remember him identifying the theme of the evening and just telling his story in the funniest way possible, and that meant a lot to me.' Many fans reacted to Pitt's openness about his challenges with addiction and showed their appreciation and support for the actor in the comments. One user commented, 'Dax and Brad being AA bf's is my absolute favourite thing in the world,' while another user said how he shared this video with a relative of theirs who was also in recovery. Pitt and Jolie got married in 2014, and they filed for divorce in 2019. Divorce settlements finally came to an end in 2024.

Coming to his career, Pitt is currently waiting for the global release of this upcoming sports drama, F1, where he will play the role of racing veteran Sonny Hayes, who returns to Formula One in order to save his old teammates racing team. Actor Tom Cruise, who had talked about Pitt's driving skills and expressed his excitement for the movie, showed up to the premiere of the film and reunited with Pitt after almost 24 years. The duo posed with director Joseph Kosinski, who is responsible for both Pitt's F1 and Cruise's Top Gun: Maverick. Seeing the positive early reviews from the critics and the press, Pitt and company will be hoping to achieve a successful theatrical run after the movie released on June 27.
Helmed by Kosinski, the film features Pitt, Javier Bardem, Damson Idris, Kerry Condon, Lewis Hamilton, and several other real-life F1 drivers.

Ajith Kumar shares thoughts on racing films in India; says, "Maybe Fast and Furious or F1 sequel"
Picture Credit: Facebook Apart from being one of Tamil cinema's most bankable stars, Ajith Kumar is also a known motorsport enthusiast who continues to balance his passion for acting and racing. Recently, ahead of a racing event, the superstar was seen interacting with a reporter, where he shared his thoughts on a racing based film made in India. Open to a Fast & Furious-type role As seen in a post shared by Laxmi Kanth on X (formerly Twitter) during the interaction, the reporter asked Ajith if he would be interested in starring in a film based on racing, especially with the genre gaining global popularity thanks to franchises like 'Fast & Furious' and the increasing presence of Formula 1 in entertainment circles. Responding to it, Ajith said, "I guess maybe Fast and Furious sequel.. or F1 sequel. . I normally perform my own stunts in the film.. So if there's a calling why not." — iammoviebuff007 (@iammoviebuff007) While nothing official has been announced, the idea of a race-based Indian film with Ajith in the lead certainly holds potential, especially at a time when pan-India projects are embracing new genres and stories rooted in global appeal. After a hiatus, he made a strong comeback in 2025 by launching his own racing team, Ajith Kumar Racing, and competing in prestigious events like the Michelin 24H Dubai and the GT4 European Series. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 5 Books Warren Buffett Wants You to Read In 2025 Blinkist: Warren Buffett's Reading List Undo What's next for Ajith Kumar? ‘F1' box office collections day 9: Brad Pitt starrer picks up speed, crosses Rs 44.5 cr mark in India
(Picture Courtesy: Facebook) After a solid first week and a slightly muted second Friday, 'F1' found its rhythm again on Saturday. The film added an estimated Rs 5.75 crore on Day 9, bringing its total India net collection to Rs 44.5 crore across all languages, according to the Sacnilk website. Strong turnout in evening and night shows Saturday's growth came largely thanks to strong occupancy in the English 2D version. The film recorded an impressive overall occupancy of 57.42% across India. Morning shows were relatively modest at just under 30%, but afternoon screenings jumped to nearly 59%, followed by packed evening (69%) and night shows (71.88%). 03:50 Kareena Kapoor FANGIRLS Over Brad Pitt after watching 'F1' On track for a strong second weekend If Sunday continues this upward trend, the film could comfortably cross Rs 50 crore by early next week — a strong showing for a Hollywood sports drama in India. While weekday numbers held steady around Rs 3.5 crore, this Saturday bump proves that F1 still has fuel in the tank. And with no major competition in its genre, the film might just keep cruising through the coming week. Directed by Joseph Kosinski, 'F1' stars Brad Pitt in the lead. The movie has an impressive supporting cast that includes Javier Bardem, Kerry Condon, Damson Idris, and Tobias Menzies. Our verdict ETimes rated the film with 3.5 stars and our review reads, "Brad Pitt nails the role of a driver with laid-back arrogance, shining in every scene—whether he's strutting in with retro swagger or brushing off the media with monosyllabic replies. Don't miss the finale, where it's just him in the cockpit, the world around him fading into silence—what he calls 'flying.' Damson Idris is equally compelling as the new-age driver, skillfully balancing raw talent with the modern demands of social media and public presence. Kerry Condon as Kate McKenna stands her ground as the APXGP technical director who's trying to prove her mettle in the male bastion. Javier Bardem, as the flamboyant and desperate team owner, injects the narrative with charm."

‘Jurassic World: Rebirth' box office collections day 2: Film clocks Rs 22 crore; Thanks to Saturday boost
(Picture Courtesy: Facebook) 'Jurassic World: Rebirth' seems to be doing exactly what fans hoped — bringing back the thrill of the original series while drawing solid crowds to theatres. According to the Sacnilk website, the film opened with Rs 9 crore on Friday and jumped to an estimated Rs 13 crore on Saturday, taking the two-day total to Rs 22 crore. Dinosaurs still have box office power Directed by Gareth Edwards, this new chapter stars Scarlett Johansson , Mahershala Ali, and Jonathan Bailey. There was already buzz leading up to its release, and now with early numbers looking strong, it's clear that people are turning up — maybe out of nostalgia, maybe for the spectacle, or maybe just to see dinosaurs wreck things on a giant screen. 03:50 Kareena Kapoor FANGIRLS Over Brad Pitt after watching 'F1' Evening shows drove the Saturday climb The big shift came Saturday evening. While morning shows started off slow, occupancy picked up across languages — especially for the English 3D version. Tamil screenings also held up well, particularly in major cities. Hindi audiences came in stronger than expected by nightfall, which helped push the day's total up. Even premium screens — Dolby, IMAX, and 3D — saw decent footfall. That's always a good sign. When people are choosing better formats over basic ones, it usually means there's genuine excitement about the film, not just casual interest. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Top Arduino Projects for Beginners CircuitDigest Learn More Undo Will Sunday keep the momentum going? With Sunday being the most crucial day of the weekend, trade experts believe Rebirth could comfortably go past Rs 35 crore before Monday morning. If it happens, the film might just cement itself as a mid-year hit. At the moment, things are looking up. The dinosaurs aren't just stomping around on screen — they're pulling crowds, filling seats, and giving theatres something to cheer about. ETimes review for the film reads, "It's a heartwarming family watch that blends comedy, compassion, and charm, and is definitely worth a trip to the theatre."
