Nicolas Kuhn Celtic transfer exit 'agreed' as Como see £16.4m bid accepted by Hoops

Kuhn is reportedly set to head to Italy with Como agreeing a £16.4m deal
Como have reportedly agreed a deal to sign Nicolas Kuhn from Celtic for £16.4m.
The winger has had plenty of interest this summer despite his explosive form tailing off towards the end of last season.

A total of 21 goals and 15 assists in all competitions was more than enough to garner interest from Germany and Italy with RB Leipzig keen earlier in the window, although recent reports suggested their interest had cooled.

Now it appears to be ambitious Serie A side Como closing in. Fabrizio Romano reports that they have agreed a fee of €19m (£16.4m) with Celtic, with Kuhn now set to fly out to Italy for a medical.
It's claimed an agreement in principle has already been reached over personal terms with just the formalities left to iron out.
It comes just 18 months on from the Hoops paying around £3m to sign him from Bayern Munich – and another example of their buy low, sell high recruitment strategy paying off substantially.
Brendan Rodgers has already brought in Benjamin Nygren this month and the hope may be for the Swede to step up and directly replace Kuhn.
However it's likely to lead to more incomings at Parkhead, where Celtic were already chasing another striker following the arrival of Callum Osmand from Fulham.

'World-class' Celtic star backed to 'set new standards'

Maeda netted 34 goals in all competitions last season for club and country and was handed multiple Player of the Year awards. And, according to Mito boss Naoki Mori, he looks ready to hit the ground running again in the new campaign. Mori said: "Daizen Maeda is clearly a world-class athlete. I think he will set new standards this season, even for him. "He took part in our training this week because he wanted to be ready for the return to Celtic and used it as part of his conditioning. Read more: "So as long as we didn't injure him, it was good! "He was a great motivator for my players. They only need to look at him and see what he has done since he left our club. "He was talking to them for the two days he was at our club about lots of things. "Obviously, he has improved in every aspect since he was last at our club and he has taken his game to an entirely new level.
