Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star addresses rumors she is in a 'lavender marriage'

Daily Mail26-04-2025
Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Whitney Leavitt is attempting to set the record straight on her marriage to Conner Leavitt.
The 31-year-old mother-of-three took to TikTok with her husband to playfully shake off the rumor that they're in a 'lavender marriage' — a heterosexual union that people use to hide their true sexual orientation.
In the 14-second clip, the Leavitts perform the viral dance to cumbia tune Me Jalo by Fuerza Regida and Grupo Frontera.
'Proof this isn't a lavender marriage,' Whitney wrote across the snippet, jokingly adding 'FWB' in the caption, which is an abbreviation for 'friends with benefits.'
But fans weren't convinced, with one follower writing, 'I'm so sorry babe what was this supposed to achieve?' and racking up more than 43,000 likes.
Someone else added about Conner's enthusiastic delivery of the dance routine, 'Between the spirit fingers and little shimmy I think I'm definitely convinced this is a lavender marriage.'
Others continued to imply that the father-of-three is gay, with one person writing, 'Now I'm convinced this a lavender marriage,' and another agreeing, 'Sis he did spirit fingers at the beginning.'
Another social media user emphatically declared, 'DENIAL IS A RIVER IN EGYPT.'
Last October the couple welcomed a third child, a son named Billy Gene Leavitt.
In addition to Billy, they are also parents to daughter Sedona, five, and son Liam, three.
'We are most excited about having our family complete. We've always wanted three kids and we're so happy everyone's here now,' Whitney told People after giving birth to Billy last year.
She also shared how they chose his name: 'We've always waited to name our children after meeting them, but with Billy, we fell in love with the name immediately — even before meeting him.'
'We loved the gender neutrality in the name since we weren't finding out the baby's gender until delivery, which we've never done before,' the Hulu star added.

Whitney recently shared behind-the-scenes footage from her Secret Lives of Mormon Wives season two photo shoot, which saw her don a demure white dress while posing in a pool.
Season one of the Hulu series took the streamer by storm, with fans quickly becoming engrossed in the messy lives of a clique of Mormon mothers and wives who had achieved notoriety on TikTok prior to appearing on television.
Whitney and Conner detailed one of their marriage struggles — Connor's porn consumption.
Whitney had previously hid the issue from her friend group as they navigated the fallout from their 'soft swinging' sex scandal.
At the end of the tumultuous inaugural season, Leavitt said she was exiting the drama-filled friend circle, but she is set to return for the upcoming second Hulu installment, which hits Hulu on May 15.

BBC Breakfast's Nina Warhurst returns to show after family death as fans rush to support

BBC Breakfast star Nina Warhurst has made her return to the show after a heartbreaking family death BBC Breakfast presenter Nina Warhurst has returned to the programme after her father's passing. ‌ The popular morning show was back on air on Sunday (August 3) with Ben Thompson and Nina presenting together once again. ‌ It's been a tough period for Nina, who recently revealed that her father had passed away peacefully in a care home on July 2 after a prolonged struggle with dementia. ‌ Sharing a touching black-and-white image of her hand clasped with her father's, she penned: "My Dad died on Wednesday night. From Sunday me, my Mum and sisters spent precious time with him around the crying, laughing, sharing memories. On his last day we had nursing home afternoon tea, chippy chips and wine together. ‌ "He drifted away gently with me and Amy (Nina's sister) holding him and telling him to 'go head. We'll see you there soon.' And he did. I had my hand on his heart as the ripples softened and stopped.", reports the Express. "A gentle end to a gentle life. So much love and laughter and sunshine across days I'll never forget. He is in my mind all the time now as we adjust to a world without him in it. ‌ "I can't quite accept that's real yet. But we think it's really important for anyone going through this to know that the end can be peaceful and beautiful." Supporters immediately flooded Nina with messages of comfort at the time. One viewer commented: "Oh my darling, this is such sad news. He seemed like a beautiful soul." Another said: "So sorry, dear Nina and family. You did him proud. Always." ‌ However, a few weeks later and on Sunday, Nina was back on the famous red sofa on BBC Breakfast - and fans were more than chuffed to see her back. On X, one person penned: "Lovely to see Nina this morning." Nina's father Chris, had been diagnosed with mixed dementia, which is Alzheimer's and vascular dementia, in April this year, she spoke candidly about how his condition had affected her life. The mum-of-three penned in an Instagram post: "I don't think I really became a proper grownup until we had to look after my Dad. Because of dementia I lost the home I could go to and still be a child. I lost one of those few pillars of people who I knew would love me, whatever. I thought that support was lost. But now I know that just being with him is enough. I don't know if it's primal, hormonal, chemical, emotional….. but leaning my head on his chest and closing my eyes for a few minutes gives me the sense of safety and love that I've always had and that I still need." BBC Breakfast airs everyday from 6am on BBC One.

'I signed up to dating app for banter – but it quickly made me realise truth'

A woman has shared she doesn't believe anyone has ever found love on dating apps, saying she finds them quite funny herself but couldn't take it seriously at all Dating can be a mixed bag, but one woman has made a bold claim about dating apps, claiming they can be "fun," but not appropriate for finding long-term love. Saffron, who posts on TikTok as @saffronmariexx, claimed there is "no way people use dating apps to find love," saying she doesn't "believe it for a second". ‌ She continued: "Using a dating app for a laugh - I can totally see why people would do that. Anyway my time on a dating app was short and sweet. Thanks but no thanks." She then proceeded to give people some advice on how to navigate dating apps. ‌ Saffron claimed dating apps should be used "if you're feeling down," because compliments will come in thick and fast. ‌ She said she downloaded an app one night with her friend, saying they thought it would be "so jokes". Saffron said she received an "influx" of messages overnight, and couldn't believe it. Saffron then shared one of the messages from "thirsty men" she received was someone referring to her as Rachael. ‌ "I don't know who Rachael is. I mean, I get it, he's copied and pasted the message, it saves time, totally get that. But he could've at least edited the name," she seethed. She continued: "Someone sent me the lyrics to Grease Lightning - I actually rate that one, I think that's quite funny. And then someone else messaged and said one thing I need to know about them is that their fish will always be first." Saffron couldn't believe the man had said that, but shared she found it "such a giggle" to receive messages. ‌ In the comments, one woman shared she agreed with Saffron, and had received messages that were completely irrelevant. She wrote: "Omggg yes, someone kept telling me they loved my deep brown eyes... me blinking my bright blue eyes." Saffron replied: "Girl, they don't even read the messages they send." ‌ A different woman shared she had found love online, however, penning: "I found someone on a dating app and been with then for 5 years." Saffron asked her about the message her now-partner had sent her, saying the messages she and her friend had received were "not the one". The woman replied, saying: "Honestly, I got a lot of weird people message me asking for you know what... but my partner now was just messaging me genuinely, if that makes sense, asking how I am, asking all the right questions. "I was speaking to him for a little while before I gave him my number, and then we went out on a date and clicked immediately!" Somebody shared that once they had "over 3,000 messages" on a dating app, saying they were "never going to reply to that many messages".
