10 Amarnath pilgrims injured after 3 buses collide in J&K's Kulgam
The injured pilgrims were taken to a hospital for treatment, they said.
The convoy was returning after pilgrims had their darshan at the cave shrine.
Officials said the condition of all injured was stated to be stable. Three buses were damaged in the road accident.
Other pilgrims from the affected buses were moved to reserve buses and the convoy went ahead with the onward journey, they added.

Jammu MC chief reviews cleanliness to ensure comfortable stay of pilgrimsin city
Jammu municipal corporation (JMC) commissioner Devansh Yadav on Monday took stock of cleanliness in different parts of Jammu city, including the municipal wards, where lodgements centres have been established for pilgrims of Amarnath Yatra. The municipal chief also examined the deployment of vehicles, waste collection points and treatment facilities and instructed the teams to remain vigilant and responsive, especially at sensitive and crowded spots. (HT representatives) The JMC chief visited Bhagwati Nagar Yatri Niwas, Vikram Chowk, Jewel, Kacchi Chowni, Parade Area, Karan Nagar, Amphalla, Rehari and Narwal and other areas witnessing huge footfall of pilgrims. He took stock of the sanitation operations and interacted with the staff and officials deployed at these locations. He checked the condition of streets, public areas and waste management facilities. He also reviewed the attendance of sanitation workers across different wards and expressed displeasure over the absence of some staff members. He directed the health officer to take strict disciplinary action against the absentee employees to ensure that no lapses occur in maintaining cleanliness. He also examined the deployment of vehicles, waste collection points and treatment facilities and instructed the teams to remain vigilant and responsive, especially at sensitive and crowded spots. He emphasised that maintaining a clean, hygienic and welcoming environment for pilgrims and residents is the top priority for the Jammu MC. Meanwhile, Reasi deputy commissioner Nidhi Malik, who also serves as the vice chairperson of the Shri Shiv Khori Shrine Board (SSKSB) on Monday inaugurated the Shrawan Mahotsav at the revered Shiv Khori Shrine. The event was organised in collaboration with the tourism department and the Shri Shiv Khori Shrine Board, adding grandeur and coordinated planning to the religious event. The Mahotsav commenced with a grand Kavad Yatra, which started from the Darshani Deodi at Ransoo Base Camp and culminated at the holy cave shrine of Lord Shiva. The deputy commissioner along with devotees, carrying ornately decorated Kavad on their shoulders, chanted religious hymns. The Shrawan Mahotsav will feature cultural and religious programmes like the Kavad Yatra to be held every Monday of the month. The Shiv Puran Katha will be held from July 27 to August 4 and a bhajan sandhya will be organised on August 4.

"We were not dying": Russian woman rescued from Gokarna cave defends natural lifestyle with children
Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], July 14 (ANI): Russian woman Nina Kutina and her two children were rescued by Gokarna Police and processed by the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) in Bengaluru before being sent back to a rescue centre in Tumakuru. Kutina, who had been living with her daughters in a cave near Gokarna, defended her lifestyle and rejected the claims made about her situation. 'You give already a lot of lying information. We have big experience to stay in natural, in jungle, and we were not dying, and I did not bring my children, my daughters to die in jungle. They did not feel bad, they were very happy, they swam in waterfall, they lived, had very good place for sleeping, a lot of lessons with art making, we made from clay, we painted, we ate good, I was cooking with gas, very good and tasty food,' she said. Dismissing suggestions of neglect or danger, she added, 'They have everything best, they were happy, and dressed, and sleeping good, and art lessons, and lessons about how to write and read, and they were not dying from hunger, never, everything not true. I have a lot of websites like social net, my profile has a lot of video about our life experience, and a lot of years, different country, like near 20 countries I live, different forest, because we love natural.' Kutina stated that they had been taken to the hospital, but her children were in perfect health. Regarding visa issues, Kutina admitted their documents had expired but disputed reports that they had overstayed since 2017. We don't have our visa, valid visa, our visa finished, but it was short time ago. After 2017, we already were in four countries, leave and then come back to India.' She also explained her continued stay in India after her son passed away. 'After I had my son, big son, he died, died, and because it happened, and it brought what my new visa, I stayed little more, but not so much, how they tell.' Kutina said she was born in Russia but hadn't lived there for 15 years. 'After that I was travelling a lot of countries, Costa Rica, Malaysia, Bali, Thailand, Nepal, Ukraine.' Rejecting the narrative that spirituality alone motivated her, she clarified, 'It is not about spiritually how they write, it's not about it, we just like natural because it gives us health... it's very big health, it's not like you live in home.' She maintained that her daughters were comfortable and happy. 'Very comfortable. Dubai [UAE], July 14 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Monday held an 'important' meeting with senior Emirates officials -- Essa Sulaiman Ahmad, Divisional Vice President - Commercial Operations (West Asia and Indian Ocean), and Ahmad Al Khamis, Vice President - Aeropolitical Affairs -- on the second day of his visit to Dubai. According to a post by the Chief Minister's Office on X, the discussions focused on strengthening aviation cooperation between India and the UAE. During the meeting, deliberations took place on enhancing aviation ties, with a particular focus on promoting direct flight services from Tier-2 cities like Indore and Bhopal, developing a regional cargo hub in Central India, and exploring opportunities in aviation training and Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) infrastructure. 'Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, during his Dubai visit, held an important bilateral meeting with senior Emirates officials. During this, detailed discussions were held on strengthening aviation cooperation between India and the UAE,' the MP CMO stated in the post. 'During the meeting, deliberations took place on promoting direct flight services from Tier-2 cities like Indore and Bhopal, developing a regional cargo hub in Central India, and exploring opportunities for cooperation in aviation training and MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) infrastructure. Discussions also covered encouraging inbound tourism and the possibility of establishing a branch of the Emirates Aviation Academy in Madhya Pradesh,' the post added. Following the meeting, Essa Sulaiman Ahmad, Divisional Vice President - Commercial Operations (West Asia and Indian Ocean) at Emirates, highlighted the potential synergies and investment opportunities. 'This was a terrific opportunity for us to meet with the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh... We know the synergies between Dubai and Madhya Pradesh... Absolutely, it was a very heartfelt meeting... I used to be in India for seven years, so this was quite an eye-opener to see the kind of investment and the vision that the Chief Minister has for the state, and absolutely looking at synergy where we can see where we take this partnership even further,' he stated. Yadav's official visit to Dubai in the UAE and to Spain is scheduled from July 13 to July 19. The aim of his visit is to bring global investment to Madhya Pradesh, encourage technology sharing, and create new job opportunities under the umbrella of 'Global Dialogue 2025'. (ANI)
