Charlie's Angel icon joins Devil Wears Prada 2 star-studded cast
Charlie's Angels actress Lucy Liu is confirmed to join the new cast of Devil Wears Prada sequel, and following in her footsteps is a rumour we hope comes true - that Bridgerton's leading star could be cast too.
With an impressive CV of stunning looks over the decades, film star and Charlie's Angel Liu is set to join the already impressive cast made up of Meryl Streep as Miranda Priestly; Y2K's sweetheart Anne Hathaway as Andy Sachs; Emily Blunt as Emily Charlton; and Stanley Tucci as Nigel Kipling.
Liu's famed roles range from blockbuster hit Kill Bill to 2002's Chicago musical. Her presence in fashion can be sampled by her Midas-touched Marchesa gown at the Red One carpet in 2024, to the embellished red look of dreams - a showstopper from the Oscars, 2000. Safe to say, Lucy Liu belongs in the fictional world of Runway.
Shockingly, many fans of the original have shared their distaste to Liu's inclusion. One Reddit user wrote: "There are too many famous people in this movie already. It's giving He's Just Not That into You, or Valentine's Day".
Another user declared "they're gonna ruin this movie," talking of the Hollywood stars now confirmed as cast. A third agreed, adding the sequel now "looks like a cash grabbing scam with so many A listers".

She launched straight into a semi-comedic, semi-accusatory conversation, stating to Celine directly: 'It seems like you're busy with something because you're forgetting to cut your son's hair.' Holding up the magazine shoot as the audience chuckled, Ellen continued: 'Look at him, he is beautiful, but look at his hair. When are you gonna cut that hair?' Straight on the defence, Celine's protective motherly instincts kicked in as she replied: 'Do you have a problem with that?' Despite the camera still being focused on the magazine, an awkward shift in atmosphere could immediately be sensed, with Ellen retaliating: 'No, I don't have a problem. That is some long hair.' Launched in 2009 with Bradley Walsh at the helm, The Chase has been a popular staple of the mid-evening schedule for over a decade and a half. Following the axing of the Spanish equivalent, El Cazador, which ended its run in April 2025 due to declining viewer numbers, devotees are proposing that the British series could benefit from an overhaul in certain areas. One Reddit user suggested: "The show isn't as fresh as it used to be and could do with them trying out new things to freshen up the formula." However, a die-hard fan countered: "I disagree.
