Cher's Fans Will Apparently Love Her Music ‘Forever'
It seems like the world will never tire of Cher or her music. The iconic singer and actress has been delivering hits for decades, and somehow, the appeal of her vast catalog only continues to grow. That sustained interest has powered numerous compilations over the decades, and this week, one of her most recent efforts is surging. Forever, a career-spanning set that showcases Cher's many musical eras and gives listeners a title to focus on when heading to streaming platforms, returns to the charts in the U.K. this week.
Forever is a hit once more this week, as it finds its way back onto a pair of U.K. rankings. This time around, the set reappears on both the Official Albums Sales and the Official Physical Albums charts. In a fun coincidence, it lands in the same spot on each tally, at No. 65.
Cher's Forever has maintained a pattern on these two tallies throughout its lifetime. When it first arrived last year, it debuted at No. 11 on both the Official Albums Sales and Official Physical Albums charts. Forever has also now spent exactly 13 weeks on each ranking.
Forever hasn't been absent from these rosters for long. The last time it was seen on either list was just a few months ago, during the final chart week of January 2025.
The collection initially debuted across several U.K. rankings in October 2024, not long after it was released. On the main all-genre tally — the Official Albums chart — Forever only managed a brief appearance, opening at No. 44 and then falling away. It narrowly missed becoming another top 40 win for Cher in the country.
What's behind this renewed attention being paid to Cher's compilation? It appears that Forever saw a spike in sales after being offered at a discount. Vinyl editions of the set — including eye-catching 2LP versions in silver and sea blue — were marked down on Amazon in the U.K. That sale seems like it may have been enough to push the title back to the charts.

‘Ketamine Queen' accused of selling Matthew Perry fatal dose gets trial date
A woman charged with selling actor Matthew Perry the dose of ketamine that killed him is headed for a September trial. Jasveen Sangha's trial — the only one forthcoming in the death of the Friends star after four other defendants reached plea agreements with prosecutors — is now set to begin on September 23 after an order on Tuesday from a judge in Los Angeles. The 42-year-old Sangha, who prosecutors say was known to her customers as the Ketamine Queen, is charged with five counts of ketamine distribution, including one count of distribution resulting in death. She has pleaded not guilty and has been held in custody since her arrest last year. Her trial had been scheduled to start August 19, but the judge postponed it for the fourth time since her April 2024 indictment after both sides agreed it should be moved. Sangha's lawyers said they needed the time to go through the huge amount of evidence they have received from the prosecution and to finish their own investigation. Sangha was one of the two biggest targets in the investigation of Perry's death, along with Dr Salvador Plasencia, who pleaded guilty to ketamine distribution last month. Perry's personal assistant, his friend and another doctor also entered guilty pleas and are co-operating with prosecutors. All are awaiting sentencing. Perry, who was found dead at age 54 at his home on October 23 2023, had been getting ketamine from his regular doctor for treatment of depression, an increasingly common off-label use for the surgical anaesthetic. But prosecutors say when the doctor would not give Perry as much as he wanted, he illegally sought more from Plasencia, then still more from Sangha, who they say presented herself as 'a celebrity drug dealer with high quality goods'. Perry's assistant and friend said in their plea agreements that they acted as middlemen to buy large amounts of ketamine for Perry from Sangha, including 25 vials for 6,000 dollars in cash a few days before his death. Prosecutors allege that included the doses that killed Perry.

RENTAL FAMILY Trailer: Brendan Fraser Is a ‘Token White Guy' for Rent in Surprisingly Emotional Tease
'You know, sometimes it's okay to pretend.' That's certainly what actors do every day they show up to work. But not in the way Brendan Fraser will have to in his next film. The Academy Award winner's new movie will see him sign up to play the 'token white guy' in an unusual role. The first trailer for Rental Family introduces Fraser as an American performer in Japan tasked with fulfilling familial roles in actual peoples' lives. Only, as this promo teases, sometimes playing pretend can lead to real experiences. Take a look at the full Rental Family trailer below. Rental Family comes from director Hikari, whose work includes 37 Seconds, Tokyo Vice, and Beef. She also wrote the script, which is also credited to Stephen Blahut. While the premise of Rental Family could easily double as a comedy (and the beginning of this trailer certainly feels that way), this is a far more emotional story. It touches on expectations, connections, wish-fulfillment, and what it means to truly be a part of someone's life. Here's Rental Family's official synopsis from Searchlight Pictures: Set against modern-day Tokyo, Rental Family follows an American actor who struggles to find purpose until he lands an unusual gig: working for a Japanese 'rental family' agency, playing stand-in roles for strangers. As he immerses himself in his clients' worlds, he begins to form genuine bonds that blur the lines between performance and reality. Confronting the moral complexities of his work, he rediscovers purpose, belonging, and the quiet beauty of human connection. The movie also stars Takehiro Hira, Mari Yamamoto, Shannon Gorman, and Akira Emoto. It arrives in theaters this fall on November 21, 2025. If the Rental Family trailer is anything to go by, you'll not want to miss it. Who will you go see it with, though? If you don't have anyone, maybe consider hiring an actor to play your friend. Not only would it be an appropriate way to see Rental Family, but who knows what might come of it? Playing pretend can often lead to something real. Solve the daily Crossword

Jack Osbourne Says He and Sister Aimee Were 'Not Close at All' Before They Both Attended Dad Ozzy's Funeral
Jack recalled feeling as though Aimee "wanted to be relatively private and obscure" throughout the Osbourne family's 2000s reality TV eraNEED TO KNOW Shortly before Ozzy Osbourne's death, his son Jack opened up about his distant relationship to sister Aimee "We don't have a great relationship, she'll be the first to tell you that, so it's no secret," he told the Disrespectfully podcast Aimee recently attended Ozzy's funeral in a rare public appearanceThe Osbournes aren't immune to the ebbs and flows of family relationships. In an interview on the Disrespectfully podcast published about a week before Ozzy Osbourne's death at age 76 on July 22, his son Jack opened up about his distant relationship to older sister Aimee, who notably didn't appear on the family's hit 2000s reality show. "Back then she really wanted to be a musician, and the kind of musician she wanted to be was like a Fiona Apple, Mazzy Star, like this kind of obscure, mysterious, moody [artist]," said Jack, 39, of why Aimee, 41, wasn't on The Osbournes, which ran on MTV from 2002 to 2005. "And she deemed doing a show on MTV as low-hanging fruit. She was like, 'I'm not going to be seen riding coattails,' kind of thing. That's how she perceived it." He continued, "Once the show was hugely successful I think she was kind of like, 'Well I can't now come on because I don't want to be seen even more as jumping on the bandwagon.' And so she just kind of dug her heels in and wanted to be relatively private and obscure." Aimee largely opts out of the spotlight, though she has released music under the band name ARO, comprised of her initials. As for whether or not she regretted not joining the reality series, Jack admittedly wasn't sure. "I've never had the conversation with her, we're not close at all. We don't have a great relationship, she'll be the first to tell you that, so it's no secret," he said. Jack continued, "I've never asked her outright, 'Do you regret it?' I think there must be a level of like, 'Hey, my life would have probably been different than what it is if I'd done that,' so I don't know, I think I would feel like I would have regretted it." In August 2020, Aimee gave an interview to New York's Q1043 radio program about why she didn't join The Osbournes and said she "always really valued my privacy within that family." "And for me personally, and for who I am, you know, as far as morally and also just to give myself a chance to actually develop into a human being as opposed to just being remembered for being a teenager, it didn't really line up with what I saw my future as," she continued at the time. "It definitely worked great for the rest of my family, but for me, and who I am, I just knew it was never something that I would have been able to consider realistically." Aimee recently made a rare public appearance for Ozzy's funeral procession in the city of Birmingham, England on Wednesday, July 30. The musician stopped on the Black Sabbath bridge alongside mom Sharon and sister Kelly, who held her hand, as well as Jack and Ozzy's son Louis. Aimee sported a black veil and beret, as well as a black suit, as she tearfully said goodbye to her father with her family. Upon Ozzy's death on July 22, the Osbourne family released a shared statement to PEOPLE. 'It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning," they said at the time. "He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time." Aimee is the eldest of Ozzy's kids with Sharon, to whom he was married for more than 40 years. In total, the rock legend was dad to six children: Jessica and Louis with ex Thelma Riley, as well as son Elliot, Riley's son from a prior relationship, whom Ozzy adopted. He and Sharon shared Aimee, Kelly and Jack. Read the original article on People
