Salman Khan shares advice he got from father Salim Khan
New Delhi, Jul 27 (PTI) Bollywood star Salman Khan shared a piece of advice his father and legendary scriptwriter Salim Khan gave him and said he regrets not knowing it before.
Salman posted a picture of himself on his Instagram handle on Saturday and attached a lengthy caption along. The post featured him sporting his signature Being Human t-shirt.
Remembering his father's words, the actor said someone can't make a person do anything if one doesn't wants to.
'Present becomes your past, past catches up to your future, present is a gift, do right with it, mistakes repeated becomes a habit and then your character, don't blame anyone, no one can make you do anything that you don't want to," he wrote in the caption.
The 59-year-old actor said he wished he had heard it earlier, but it's never too late. 'My dad just said this to me, it's so true. Kash (I wish) I heard this earlier but never too late," he concluded.

James Turk, director at Toronto Metropolitan University's Centre for Free Expression, said cancelling a permit over a person's views is dangerous. 'The foundation of democracy is public discourse, including ideas we disagree with,' he said. 'Censorship only amplifies such voices.' Feucht later performed at a private venue in Shubenacadie, Nova Scotia, hosted by pastors Christine and Neil Barr. They said they faced hundreds of hate messages and some protests but went ahead with the show. In response to criticism, Feucht posted: 'If I had shown up with purple hair and a dress, no one would've cared. But my Christian beliefs are seen as a threat.' Opponents said his views go against Parks Canada's values of inclusion and safety. Turk countered that while physical safety must be ensured, 'a subjective feeling of being unsafe' isn't legal grounds to silence someone.
