Bali shooting suspects moved to notorious Kerobokan Prison

The suspects in an alleged shooting murder of a Melbourne man in Bali have been transferred to the island's most notorious prison as police weigh formal charges.
Australians Darcy Jensen, 27, Mevlut Coskun, 22, and Paea I Middlemore Tupou, 26, are being held over the June 13 death of Zivan 'Stipe' Radmanovic
Radmanovic's friend, Sanar Ghanim, was also shot when gunmen stormed their a villa near Munggu Beach but survived.
Police previously revealed they would allege Sydney plumber Mr Jenson organised getaway vehicles and equipment while Mr Tupou and Mr Coskun carried out the attacks.
The trio – dubbed the Bali 3 – were forced into a re-enactment by local police on Wednesday, and they were pictured wearing orange shirts with balaclavas and signs reading 'suspect 1', 'suspect 2' and 'suspect 3'.
Badung Police chief Arif Batubara said after the re-enactments, the men were taken to Bali's largest prison, which has previously held high-profile inmates such as members of the Bali Bombers, Bali 9 and Schapelle Corby.
'After the reconstruction process ran smoothly and as planned, we hand over or detain the three suspects at Kerobokan Prison for further detention process,' he said.
No charges have been laid, but police are reported to be considering charges of premeditated murder, which can carry the death penalty in Indonesia.
Mr Coskun told 7News as he was being escorted from the re-enactment that he was 'not guilty' and would fight any charges.
Asked what the conditions were like in custody, he replied 'terrible'.
Police said last week's re-enactment was conducted to 'clarify each suspect's role in the incident, which resulted in serious injuries, and as part of the ongoing investigation'.
The shooting has been linked to tensions in Melbourne's underworld and has been described as 'well organised' by Balinese police.
'We are certain these three are the perpetrators. They are Australian nationals according to their passports,' Bali Police Chief Daniel Adityajaya said.

Parkwood mother allegedly stabbed teen daughter's boyfriend with kitchen knife, trial told

A mother stabbed a 14-year-old boy who was involved in a secret romance with her daughter after discovering him partially clothed in a bedroom with her, a prosecutor has told a Perth court. Jennifer Mui Len Chin, 49, allegedly stabbed the boy four times with a kitchen knife as he tried to flee her house, after she found him lying shirtless in bed in her husband's room, despite her daughter's attempts to stop her from entering the room. The pair had been having consensual sex, the court heard, and Ms Chin became suspicious when she noticed the door to the room was closed. Ms Chin is on trial in the Perth District Court, accused of causing bodily harm to the boy in the Perth suburb of Parkwood in October 2023. But Ms Chin's lawyer Mark Andrews said her actions were motivated by fear, not anger, because she thought the boy was an intruder. Prosecutor Chadd Graham told the court Ms Chin's 14-year-old daughter was not allowed to have a boyfriend because of her mother's Christian beliefs, but she had been carrying out a romantic relationship for months. Mr Graham said the girl secretly brought the boy into the home, and they went to the father's bedroom where they had sex as "willing participants". When she heard her mother outside the room, the girl unsuccessfully "tried to block her" from entering, as her boyfriend hid under the bedcovers without a shirt on, the prosecutor said. Calling out "intruder", Ms Chin grabbed the boy by the wrists as he said "sorry" multiple times, Mr Graham said. Ms Chin then asked her six-year-old son to fetch a knife, the prosecutor said, while her daughter told her the "intruder" was a friend who had been kicked out of home. Ms Chin held the knife above her head, the court heard, as her daughter said "Ma, you'll be the one who goes to jail for this". "I don't care, he's an intruder," was Ms Chin's alleged response. The teenager was stabbed twice to the chest and twice to his shoulder after he tried to get out the front door, causing him to bleed heavily, Mr Graham said. The two teenagers ran from the home and the daughter called police. But Mr Andrews told the court Ms Chin had felt "extremely threatened" by someone she genuinely thought was an intruder. He said she had gone to the father's bedroom door because it was unexpectedly closed, and suspected her daughter was using the internet. Ms Chin didn't know or think the teenager was her daughter's boyfriend, he told the court, and the "last thing" she thought was that the pair had been engaging in consensual sex. He told the jury she had a "whirlwind of fears and thoughts" after her daughter said he was a "homeless person". "Everything just seemed surreal," Mr Andrews said. He told the court Ms Chin used the knife in a "forward, stabbing motion" as the teenager moved towards her, but only caused superficial injuries. Ms Chin was "frozen in shock and disbelief" as she went outside to find her daughter. It was when she went back into the father's bedroom that she saw a condom wrapper and "for the first time, the penny dropped," Mr Andrews said. He said she adhered "to Christian beliefs and values" and she did not approve of her daughter having a boyfriend at the age of 14. The trial is continuing.

Young Australian dad faces ‘long road' after horror scooter crash in Bali

The family of a young Queensland father have issued an urgent plea, after the 23-year-old was involved in a devastating scooter accident in Bali. Keanu Neilson was holidaying on the popular Indonesian island celebrating his sister-in-law's 30th birthday when the man's scooter collided with a ute in Kuta in the early hours of Thursday morning. According to a GoFundMe page, which has been created by Mr Neilson's friend and partner on the family's behalf, the father from Bundaberg was taken to hospital with a bleed on his brain and several serious breaks in his arm and pelvis. 'He is currently heavily sedated,' friend Mitchell Lamb wrote on the page. 'By his side at the hospital is his loving partner, brother and sister-in-law who hasn't left him for a moment. 'Waiting back home is his beautiful 3-year-old daughter, Ellie, who keeps asking when her daddy is coming home.' Mr Lamb said the plea for money is to help fund the lifesaving treatment he needs to make a recovery, as medical costs need to be paid upfront for the required treatment, and Mr Neilson didn't have travel insurance. Speaking to the ABC, Mr Neilson's mother — Catz Leche — said while her son had one surgery, funds were required for several others which may amount to around $35,000 each. 'A few of my other family members managed to rustle up the money somehow, it was urgent they got him in,' Ms Leche told the publication. 'But we have to pay for each surgery, and then you have to pay by the day for him to be there. 'He didn't have insurance, and this is what the problem is, they won't operate unless the money's paid upfront. 'It's a long road for him.' In an update to the GoFundMe page overnight, Mr Neilson's partner Bree-Arna Mcknoulty said he faces a long road ahead. '[Keanu had] two plates put into his arm and a screw placed into his pelvis,' she wrote. 'The gashes were fixed best as possible and with extensive rehab he may have full use of his fingers. 'We are incredibly relieved to say he's awake and the neurosurgeons are closely monitoring his brain bleed. This is still a very serious and delicate situation but he's fighting so hard. 'Keanu still has a long road ahead before he'll be well enough to leave Bali. We are holding onto hope and taking it one step at a time.' Mr Lamb described the doting dad as 'one of the kindest, most vibrant souls you could ever meet'. 'To see him lying in a hospital bed, unconscious and broken, is absolutely heartbreaking,' Mr Lamb wrote. 'But we believe in miracles, and we believe in the power of community.'
