Diddy Sued By Bad Boy Co-Founder Kirk Burrowes For Sexual Harassment And More

Yahoo04-03-2025
One Bad Boy co-founder is going 'bad' on the other. Kirk Burrowes recently sued Diddy for sexual harassment and a slew of other accusations.
People recently reported that Burrowes' legal team filed an 18-page complaint against the controversial mogul on Friday (Feb. 28), citing a 'deeply disturbing' and 'toxic environment of coercion, fear and psychological manipulation.' In addition to sexual harassment, they claimed there were instances of physical aggression and coercion, unwanted sexual advances, and inappropriate behavior during business meetings.
Burrowes claims that the 'I Need A Girl' artist used blackmail, violence, and extortion to force him to give up his 25% stake in their legendary label. This lawsuit comes 22 years after Burrowes first sued Diddy, claiming that he violently influenced him to give up $25 million by storming into their offices with a baseball bat and forcing him to sign a contract that effectively withdrew his ownership of Bad Boy. The lawsuit was dismissed because it fell outside of the statute of limitations.
Kirk Burrowes' lawsuit against Diddy comes days after he sued his mother, Janice Combs, for fraud. He claimed that she 'knowingly participated in the fraudulent scheme' to gain possession of his 25% stake in Bad Boy, which he gave up after he was extorted by the Making The Band star. Burrowes' lawsuit, per Rolling Stone, reveals that he only recently learned about these alleged deeper, darker methods of getting him to give up his power.
'This latest lawsuit filed by Kirk Burrowes, filed by none other than Tyrone Blackburn, is another frivolous attempt to re-litigate claims that have been repeatedly thrown out of court over the past 30 years,' Puff's legal team told HipHopDX. 'Despite repeated dismissals, Burrowes and Blackburn are intent on wasting the court's time and resources by refiling dismissed claims and now dragging Mr. Combs' 80 year old mother into this.'
Burrowes is looking to get his ownership stake back, plus compensation, and to have the company audited. Meanwhile, Diddy remains behind bars after being arrested in September for racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking. His trial is set to begin in May.

French appeals court clears two over first lady gender rumours

A French appeals court Thursday overturned convictions against two women accused of libel against French First Lady Brigitte Macron, after they spread false claims she used to be a man that reached the United States. Disinformation on Macron's gender has circulated on social media for years. She has also been attacked over the 24-year age difference with President Emmanuel Macron. The 72-year-old first lady, whose maiden name is Trogneux, has a brother called Jean-Michel. Brigitte Macron filed a libel complaint against two women after they posted a YouTube video in December 2021, alleging she had once been a man named Jean-Michel. In the video, defendant Amandine Roy, a self-proclaimed spiritual medium, interviewed Natacha Rey, a self-described independent journalist, for four hours on her YouTube channel. Rey spoke about the "state lie" and "scam" she claimed to have uncovered -- that a certain Jean-Michel Trogneux had changed gender to become Brigitte, then married the president. They discussed surgery she was supposed to have undergone, and revealed personal information about the first lady's brother. The claim went viral, including recently among conspiracy theorists in the United States. A lower court in September last year ordered the two women to pay 8,000 euros in damages to Brigitte Macron, and 5,000 euros ($5,500) to her brother. But the Paris Appeals Court on Thursday let them off, including over a false claim of "grooming a minor", arguing they had made the mistake in "good faith". The defendants will no longer have to pay the damages. The court did not provide further explanations. In a separate case, four men are to appear in court in October in Paris over allegations they harassed the first lady. Among the accused is Aurelien Poirson-Atlan, born in 1984, a publicist known on social media as "Zoe Sagan" often linked with conspiracy theory circles. Former US first lady Michelle Obama, ex-vice president Kamala Harris and New Zealand ex-premier Jacinda Ardern have also been the target of disinformation about their gender or sexuality. cbr/ah/jj

Women Are Sharing The "Unhinged" Ways They Practice Microfeminism Every Day, And I Am LIVING For These Replies

Last year, I wrote about the growing trend of people sharing the "microfeminisms" they practice daily — the small but redemptive, affirming, and powerful acts aimed at making the world just a little more equitable for women. (The trend began when creator Ashley Chaney coined the term in a viral video sharing how she confronts subtle misogyny at work with "microfeminist" acts, such as addressing women first in emails, even if less senior. Thereafter, thousands, and I really do mean thousands, joined in, and the term stuck. Personally, I think it should be added to Merriam-Webster now or something.) The trend has resurfaced on TikTok once again, but this time, a user prompted, "I wanna hear more. I'm not talking about 'Oh, I always address women first.' I'm talking unhinged behavior." The replies, of course, delivered, and were just too good not to share. Here are some of the best ones: Related: 1."Give them a princess handshake when they introduce themselves only to other men." 2."every time a man tells me he's 'babysitting' his kids i said 'oh it must be hard not to have custody.'" 3."When I'm addressing a group of people and say 'Ladies and the sons of ladies.'" 4."My daughter is 4 and doesn't know men can be doctors because her ped, dentist, and vet are all women." 5."If a man says 'hi young lady' or something similar I respond 'hi old man.'" 6."In response to mansplaining, I interrupt loudly with, 'Reclaiming my time!' It almost always results in uncontrollable laughter from others in the room, which has the added benefit of thoroughly embarrassing the mansplainer." Related: 7."when a man starts mansplaining over and over, I wait patiently until he is done, and when he asks me if I understood, I reply. 'I understood it right away, but if it makes you feel better, you can keep explaining it.' Gets them every time." 8."I change all the Alexa voices in my house to [male], so my daughter gets used to telling men what to do. I'm a guy." 9."I'm a waitress at a steakhouse and anytime a couple is sharing a steak, I put the steak in front of the woman and the empty plate in front of the man." 10."I always say, '...for a man.' when complimenting a man." 11."I own a cleaning company and I use all pink trash bags for bachelor [men's] homes. 🥰" Related: 12."A guy at work sighs really loudly every time someone says something he disagrees with, so I sigh anytime he speaks. For some reason, he thinks this is 'hostile' and he is correct." 13."At a family reunion someone was making an excuse for her husband being quiet and I said 'good, husbands should be seen and not heard.'" 14."I turn my camera off in a Zoom meeting if I'm being mansplained to, and only turn it back on when the mansplaining is over. Then carry on with my topics as if it never happened." 15."When a man tries to mansplain something or hijack my idea I just say, 'You're really starting to understand it. That's awesome. Let me know if you have any other questions about what I said.' And then continue on with what I was saying." 16."Saw one recently as a response to mansplaining: 'Do you suffer from correctile dysfunction? Its ok, no need to be embarrassed. Millions of men have it.'" 17."I use makeup metaphors at work instead of sports ones. 'Team I think [we're] forgetting the primer before our foundation here.'" 18."I'm an attorney and when male opposing counsel gets really aggressive or rude I like to say, 'You're being really emotional. Let's talk about this another time when you can get better control over your emotions.' 😅" Related: 19."When a man gets [unnecessarily] angry, I explain to people around us that men have daily hormone cycles and it's probably his 'part of the day.'" 20."I'm a firefighter and I only bring sunscreen with glitter. The guys will ask for sunscreen and unbeknownst to them will be covered like Edward in twilight." 21."I ask dad the admission questions & about their kid's health history, meds, allergies, diagnoses, etc. They always direct all the questions to mom & I say 'omg I'm so sorry I thought you were dad!' Then they get even more awkward. Love it 👏 22."I use feminine words while complementing them. 'Good morning Hank. Wow I love that new blouse!'" 23."my old boss used to wear cowboy boots to work and i would tell him his kitten heels are cute." 24."I tell men I love their pixie cut." finally, "i save my friend's [boyfriends and husbands] contact in handmaids tale format: Matt OfClare, Ryan OfMadison, Josh OfEmily, etc." Got any other hilarious and "unhinged" microfeminisms that you practice to add? Please, add them all down below in the comments. We could use 'em right now. Also in Goodful: Also in Goodful: Also in Goodful:

D.L. Hughley Rips 'Morally Bankrupt' Fans For Celebrating Diddy Verdict

Source: Michael S. Schwartz / Getty The moment Sean 'Diddy' Combs was found not guilty on the most serious charges in his sex trafficking and racketeering trial, we all should have expected social media to become an annoying place. We should have known the 'Free Tory' segment of the Black manosphere , as well as the same Black people who are still caping for R. Kelly and Bill Cosby, would erupt in celebration over what they consider vindication for the disgraced Bad Boy mogul. (I'm looking at you, Ray J and Boosie Badazz.) This is why it's gratifying to hear at least one Black male celebrity speak out against celebrations of the Diddy verdict. During a recent sit-down with TMZ, comedian D.L. Hughley expressed that while he doesn't believe Combs was guilty of everything he was charged with, people should be celebrating justice — if they truly think justice is what happened here — not the verdict itself. Hughley appears to be of the opinion that Diddy was overcharged, but he also acknowledged that the trial revealed 'stuff that is amoral.' 'I think that it's clear that Puffy wasn't charged for the things he did. He was charged in this vague, amorphous…the judge even during the trial, you could see he was having a hard time buying it,' Hughley explained. 'I think it shows two things: money will buy a great defense. I think if he's charged and he has a public defender, he's convicted.' 'They didn't charge him for domestic abuse. They charged him for all of these terms that they just couldn't prove,' he continued. As for the people who are celebrating Diddy's victory in court, Hughley didn't bother mincing words in explaining, essentially, that those people are trash. 'I think there are people who are morally bankrupt. I say that all the time,' he said. 'Even if Puffy wasn't convicted of the most serious [crimes], he still whooped a woman in front of everybody,' Hughley continued. 'Now he wasn't charged for that, and the feds wouldn't charge him for that. Obviously, the feds wouldn't be involved in something like that. But it speaks to who we are as a society. Even if he's not guilty of the crimes charged, he is a horrible dude. I can root for a man to get justice, that's different than celebrating this verdict. They're two different things.' Look, D.L. Hughley is not a legal expert — nor are most of the people who were in the streets acting like the ghost of Nelson Mandela was just freed from prison — but he seems to understand basic humanity perfectly well. So, there's that. See social media's reaction to the verdict below. SEE ALSO D.L. Hughley Rips 'Morally Bankrupt' Fans For Celebrating Diddy Verdict was originally published on
