Appeal after theft from city castle site
A fire extinguisher has been stolen from an English Heritage site in York, police have said.
North Yorkshire Police said the extinguisher was taken from Clifford's Tower, the largest surviving part of York Castle, on 8 May.
The force released a CCTV image of two people it said may have "important information" about the theft.
It asked anyone who recognised the pair to get in touch directly or via anonymous reporting charity Crimestoppers.

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Police Department is trying to identify and arrest a man who is accused of committing an armed robbery then leaving the scene in an RTA bus. The case is the latest one to roll on the Wheel of Justice. According to police, the robbery happened around 4:50 a.m. on June 4 in the 4100 block of Chef Menteur Highway. Police also released some security camera images that show the alleged suspect. The security camera footage includes images of the man waiting to get onto the bus after the robbery as well as paying the fare. NOPD looking for robbery suspect who struck at ATM
NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Police Department is trying to identify and arrest a suspect who is accused of robbing someone at gunpoint while at an ATM. The case is the latest one to roll on the Wheel of Justice. According to police, the robbery happened around 1:30 a.m. on May 14 in the 3300 block of Canal Street. They say a man who was wearing dark clothing and a mask stole the victim's money and ID. Nine years later, Algiers murder on Kent Drive remains unsolved
NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — On June 26, 2016, the New Orleans Police Department was called to a shooting scene in the 2800 block of Kent Drive in Algiers. Officers found a man who'd been shot multiple times. He died at the scene. Nine years later, the murder remains unsolved. It's the latest case to roll on the Wheel of Justice.
