Miss World beauties have whale of a time at Shilparamam

Hans India23-05-2025
Hyderabad: Shilparamam on Thursday was transformed into a vibrant celebration of tradition and creativity as Miss World 2025 contestants explored the Village Museum and engaged in traditional arts like painting, pottery, and basket weaving. Immersed in Telangana's rural spirit, the contestants didn't just observe – they participated, getting their hands delightfully messy in age-old crafts that have empowered generations of local women.
As the rhythmic beats of Bathukamma music filled the air, the contestants joined in spontaneous celebration, dancing shoulder-to-shoulder with artisans and women from Self-Help Groups. The cultural exchange wasn't just visual, it was deeply emotional.
Panchayat Raj Minister Dhanasri Anasuya (Seethakka) graced the event, encouraging both the Miss World delegates and the SHG women whose stalls proudly showcased handmade goods ranging from textiles to organic products. The stalls reflected not just skill but stories of resilience, self-reliance, and collective growth. It was more than an excursion. It was an experience of how tradition meets transformation, and how women across the world, whether on global stages or in local markets, are shaping the future together.
Meanwhile, the Miss World 2025 participants brought more than grace to Victoria Memorial Home as they brought joy, hope, and moments that will echo in little hearts for years to come.
From lighting lamps of possibility to dancing in celebration of dreams, this High Tea was more than an event, it was a reminder that kindness is always in style. The contestants interacted with the students of the Social Welfare Residential School. 107 contestants participating in the Miss World pageant, along with the current Miss World Krystyna Pyszková interacted with the students staying in the government hostel here. They said that hard work, along with the acquisition of knowledge, will make them powerful only if they excel in education. The contestants told the students that they will achieve their goals only if they have strong dreams of reaching higher positions.

Rajkummar Rao's Maalik becomes his 9th biggest grosser at the box office

Rajkummar Rao's latest film, Maalik, has become his 9th highest-grossing film with an India net collection of Rs 23.54 crore in 10 days. Despite facing competition, the film's steady performance and positive reception helped it surpass Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga in Rao's top 10 list. The film also stars Manushi Chhillar and Prosenjit Chatterjee. Rajkummar Rao 's latest release Maalik has officially entered his list of top 10 highest-grossing films, becoming his 9th biggest hit with an India net collection of Rs 23.54 crore in 10 days. Directed by Pulkit the film also stars former Miss World Manushi Chhillar and veteran Bengali actor Prosenjit Chatterjee in key roles. Maalik opened to a modest Rs 3.75 crore on its first Friday but picked up momentum over the weekend, collecting Rs 5.25 crore each on Saturday and Sunday. Despite a predictable dip during the weekdays, the film maintained a steady pace, aided by decent word of mouth and positive critical reception. The second weekend added around Rs 2.25 crore to its kitty, bringing the total to Rs 23.54 crore, nudging past Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga (Rs 22.45 crore) to enter Rajkummar Rao's top 10 film got massively impacted by Mohit Suri 's Saiyaara starring Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda . Set against a politically charged backdrop, Maalik tells a story rooted in power, ambition, and societal upheaval. While Maalik isn't a blockbuster by commercial standards, it adds to Rajkummar Rao's consistent box office growth. His filmography reflects a unique blend of content-driven cinema and crowd-pleasers. The actor's top-grossing film remains the recent mega-hit Stree 2, which raked in a record-breaking Rs 597.99 crore, followed by Stree (Rs 129.83 crore), Bhool Chuk Maaf (Rs 72.73 crore), and Srikanth (Rs 48.07 crore). Other notable grossers include Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video (Rs 42.09 crore) and Mr. & Mrs. Mahi (Rs 36.34 crore). Maalik stands just below Bareilly Ki Barfi (Rs 34.27 crore) and Judgementall Hai Kya (Rs 34.45 crore), films where Rao also shone in layered, offbeat roles. With Maalik now in the mix, it becomes evident that the actor's appeal is expanding beyond niche content to commercially viable stories with substance. The film also marks a key moment for Manushi Chhillar, who continues to explore diverse roles post her debut. Prosenjit Chatterjee's presence adds gravitas, and Pulkit's direction—best known for his earlier work on Maroon—has been widely appreciated for its restraint and realism.

Do You Know Ahaan Panday Was First Cast With Ajay Devgn In A Superhero Film Before Saiyaara?

Last Updated: Ahaan Panday's debut in Saiyaara was not his first launch plan, he was earlier set to star in a superhero film with Ajay Devgn. Ahaan Panday is enjoying a dream debut with Saiyaara, which has lit up the box office with a roaring start. But did you know the rising star of Yash Raj Films was actually supposed to make his acting debut with a big-budget superhero film opposite Ajay Devgn? Ahaan, who plays the aspiring rockstar Krish Kapoor in the Mohit Suri-directed Saiyaara, was initially launched as an Assistant Director on The Railway Men, Netflix's acclaimed YRF miniseries. However, before all that, he had already been chosen to headline a superhero film under the YRF banner. According to Bollywood Hungama, the project was an ambitious multi-part superhero saga featuring Ahaan in the lead and Ajay Devgn as the antagonist. Former Miss World Manushi Chhillar was also on board. A source had said in 2020, 'It's true that Ahaan Panday and Ajay Devgn will be seen together. Ajay plays the antagonist in this film, which promises to be a visually grand and exciting affair. It'll be a part of a superhero series and every part will have a new villain." Despite the buzz, the film never made it past pre-production. In 2021, Ajay Devgn reportedly backed out, citing scheduling issues after COVID-19 disrupted several of his pending projects. With the plan shelved, Ahaan shifted gears and joined director Shiv Rawail as an AD on The Railway Men. Following the show's release in November 2023, Ahaan shared an emotional post on Instagram reflecting on his time on set. He wrote, 'I was working on a show about a group of brave souls… it made me realise that that is the only way we can treat our dreams… sometimes life forces you to think about where you're going, but that's exactly when you need to look out of that window and see the beauty in it all." Now, with Saiyaara, Ahaan finally steps into the limelight, and fans are loving his fresh energy and screen presence. The romantic musical also stars Aneet Padda.
