Ram Kapoor walks back comments about having enough money to support four generations, but says Sakshi Tanwar and Ronit Roy do
He added, 'Then he asked about how much can you three people make? Then I answered that if you are in the top level of the television industry, if you are the top actor of the television industry and if you are a wise investor, then you can make a lot of money to take care of the next four generations. Like Ronit and Sakshi has 100 percent done.'
Ram refuted claims that he has earned money to support the next four generations, but explained that some top television actors have managed to do so by investing wisely from the beginning of their careers.
He said, 'TV is different than film. When you do a film, you might not get a film for the next two years, but in television, if you have a hit show, it is going to last for 3-4 years. Sakshi's show Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki lasted for eight years. Now when you know making that kind of money every month for eight years, it is a very very big amount. And if you invest that money wisely from the very beginning, then by the time your career is towards its end, you will have enough money for everything that you need, but the bottom thing is, if you don't invest in if you keep spending that money, then no amount is enough.'
In an interview with Humans of Bombay recently, Ram Kapoor had said, 'It is not that television actors make as much as film actors. But if you have a hit show which lasts for 7-8 years and if you are at the top of television or making a lot of money, your per month cheque is equal to your salary for 8 years. People like me, Sakshi and Ronit, if you have been on television for 20 years and are sensible then you have made enough for at least 3-4 generations.'
Ram Kapoor was one of the highest-paid television actors in India. He became a household name through popular shows like Kasamh Se, Bade Achhe Lagte Hain, Kehta Hai Dil, and more. He has also appeared in several films, including Student of the Year, Agent Vinod, Udaan, and others.

Yoon Kye-sang on upcoming sports film 'Try': 'I think rugby will become a popular sport through this drama'
Yoon Kye-sang , the 45-year-old singer-turned-actor is all set to star in 'Try', Korea's first-ever rugby drama. In Korea, rugby has fewer than 1,000 registered players. The sport is so unpopular, that when one of Korea's three semi-professional teams disbanded in 2015, officials called it "the collapse of Korean rugby". Why This Drama Hits Different 'Try' isn't just entertainment, it's a full-scale cultural intervention disguised as a feel-good sports story. For decades, Korean sports dramas stuck to the usual suspects - basketball, baseball, soccer. Rugby was so niche that it never even got consideration for mainstream media. But now? A major network is betting big on this "unpopular sport", and the timing couldn't be more perfect. The show follows a perpetually last-place high school rugby team meeting an eccentric coach named Joo Ga-ram (Yoon Kye-sang), who's a former rugby star fallen from grace due to a doping scandal. It's classic underdog formula - think of any great sports movie where the worst team gets an unlikely coach and magic happens. But what makes this special is Yoon Kye-sang's approach - he's channelling his comedian persona into coaching, making rugby look fun and accessible. The character development is genuine, too. Yoon Kye-sang revealed that his character's "unpredictable and comedic personality is actually inspired by his own humorous nature," incorporating "a lot of my past self from variety shows where I used to joke around and play pranks". by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Free P2,000 GCash eGift UnionBank Credit Card Apply Now Undo The Ripple Effect The cultural impact is already visible in ways that would make any sports promoter proud. Former rugby players are suddenly becoming household names through entertainment shows. The Korea Rugby Association notes that "the recent easy search for former and current rugby players in home entertainment shows is also a measure of the public's interest in rugby". Rugby player Andre Jean became a fan favourite after placing third in 'Physical 100', while various entertainment programs feature former national team members. This media representation matters because it's breaking down decades of invisibility for a sport that was literally on the verge of collapse. From Zero to Hero Yoon Kye-sang is genuinely betting on rugby's future in Korea. "I think rugby will become a popular sport through this drama," he confidently stated. "The script is really interesting, so I'm certain the drama will do well". The Korea Rugby Association expects that rugby will become "a recognized and popular sport in Korea that does not lag behind baseball, basketball, and volleyball". The timing is perfect too. Just as K-pop and Korean cinema conquered global hearts with unique storytelling, 'Try' is positioning rugby as the next frontier of Korean cultural influence. In a country where sports success is measured by Olympic medals and global recognition, this drama represents a fascinating case study in how media representation can reshape cultural perceptions. What makes this even more remarkable is the sport's journey from "practically extinct" to "primetime drama subject." It's the kind of plot twist that proves sometimes the most overlooked passions can become mainstream magic with the right story and star power.

What Bobby Deol Said When Asked About Release Date Of Ranbir Kapoor's Animal Park
Last Updated: Although Bobby Deol's screen time in Animal was limited, his performance was well-received, earning him the Best Actor in a Negative Role Award. Bobby Deol made a massive comeback on the big screen with his performance as the mute villain, Abraar, in Sandeep Reddy Vanga 's action thriller, Animal. Although his screen time was limited, his performance was well-received, earning him the Best Actor in a Negative Role Award. Released in 2023, the film featured Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna and Anil Kapoor in the leads and went on to be a blockbuster. And now, fans are eagerly waiting for its sequel, Animal Park. On Friday evening, the actor was papped at a cinema hall in Mumbai along with his son, Aryaman. During the appearance, he posed for the shutterbugs stationed at the location and engaged in some casual chat. Before leaving, a paparazzi asked him, 'Animal 2 kab aa rahi hai (When is Animal 2 coming?)" To which he replied with a sweet smile and said, 'Pata nahi mujhe (I don't know)." Earlier, producer Bhushan Kumar revealed that the shooting of Animal Park will begin after Sandeep Reddy wraps up his next Spirit with Prabhas. Bobby Deol on Animal: Earlier, during an interview with Humans of Bombay, the actor opened up about why he chose to do Animal and said, 'I wanted to try something outside of my comfort zone. When Sandeep told me that my character would be mute, I thought, 'But my voice is my strength,' but I chose to go for it anyhow." He Was Sceptical Of Being Replaced: Bobby added, 'I waited 1.5 years to shoot the film. Animal is 3.5 hours long, so they were shooting with Ranbir for a long time, and I was wondering if they would change their minds. Will they suddenly decide they don't need me? Those thoughts sprang to mind, but Sandeep Reddy is a sweetheart. I learned sign language for the role. It was a great success—although I never expected it to become a cult hit, I had a gut feeling about it." About Animal: The film follows the story of Ranvijay 'Vijay" Singh, the son of a powerful industrialist, and his strained relationship with his father, which gets worse after an assassination attempt. Following the attack, Vijay embarks on a mission of revenge and destruction. The film delves into themes of family, violence, and the consequences of unchecked aggression.
