Tennessee baseball pitcher listed on Orleans' 2025 roster
Left-handed pitcher Dylan Loy (4-0) completed his second season at Tennessee in 2025.
The 6-foot, 208-pound sophomore appeared in 33 games, including one start, for the Vols during the 2025 campaign. He recorded 36 strikeouts, two saves and a 3.97 ERA in 34.0 innings.
Loy is listed on Orleans' roster for the 2025 Cape Cod Baseball League season. Former Vol Kyle Serrano is also listed as an assistant coach for the Firebirds.
The Cape Cod Baseball League was founded in 1885 and is a collegiate summer league located on Cape Cod in Massachusetts.
Ten teams compete in the Cape Cod Baseball League, divided into East and West divisions. In 1985, the Cape Cod Baseball League became the first collegiate summer league to use wood bats.
The 2025 season will begin June 14 and is slated to conclude Aug. 3. Orleans' first contest will take place June 14 versus Cotuit. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. EDT at Eldredge Park in Orleans, Massachusetts.

While head coach Mike Elko and company have been hot on the recruiting trail as of late, the program saw a four-star wide receiver prospect commit to the Tennessee Volunteers over the Texas A&M Aggies on Saturday. It was down to the Aggies and the Vols, but when it came time for the final decision to be made, Legend Bey locked in his commitment to become Josh Heupel's 13th member of Tennessee's 2026 class. Bey spent most of his high school football career at the quarterback position, where he threw for 1,444 passing yards and 41 touchdowns. Per 247 Sports Player Recruiting Rankings, Bey is the No. 23 ATH and No. 49 player in the state of Texas. He also ranks as the No. 451 player in the country in the 2026 cycle. He received 36 total offers, including those from Ohio State, West Virginia, Duke, Texas A&M, Tennessee, and Oklahoma State. His elite speed and potential at wideout are why Bey will likely move from his normal position as a signal-caller to catching passes in Neyland Stadium for the Vols in 2026. Crystal ball predictions from 247 Sports had Elko and company with the highest probability of landing his commitment. Still, Heupel's spread offense spoke volumes to Bey in his transition to wide receiver. The speedy track and field star is highly touted for his ability to accelerate and find holes in opposing defenses quickly. His strong arm also makes him a dangerous threat for Heupel to use, with Bey already in talks to throw the ball around some in the Vols' offense. Following the last two days of multiple 2026 commits announcing their future destinations, the Aggies fell from No. 2 to No. 4 in 247 Sports Team Recruiting Rankings. Elko and crew have landed 21 hard commits for the upcoming class, including two five-star and 12 four-star prospects. After months on the trail trying to land Bey, the announcement from the track and field star is disappointing news for Texas A&M and the Aggie fans. There are more athletes on the radar that fans in Aggieland should keep their eyes on, however. Tennessee guard to play for Phoenix in NBA Summer League
Former Tennessee basketball guard Jordan Gainey will play in the 2025 NBA Summer League. He signed to play for Phoenix in the NBA Summer League, taking place in Las Vegas, Nevada. Gainey, a native of Tucson, Arizona, played for the Vols from 2023-25 for head coach Rick Barnes after transferring from USC Upstate. He is the son of Tennessee associate head coach Justin Gainey. During his collegiate career, Jordan Gainey played in 138 games, averaging 11.7 points per game and recording a .358 three-point field goal percentage. During his senior season, he averaged 11.6 points per contest and totaled a .304 three-point percentage. The former Vol helped Tennessee advance to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament in each of the past two seasons, scoring at least 15 points in six of his final 10 games. Undrafted Tennessee guard to play in NBA Summer League
Former Tennessee basketball player Zakai Zeigler was not selected in the 2025 NBA draft. He will play in the NBA Summer League, which takes place July 10-20, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Zeigler will play for Detroit with Vols' teammate Chaz Lanier, who was drafted in the second round (No. 37 overall) by the Pistons. Zeigler played for Tennessee from 2021-25 under head coach Rick Barnes and helped the Vols reach the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament in 2024-25. He is the school's all time assists and steals leader. Zeigler was a three-year starter. In four years with the Vols, he averaged 11.3 points and 5.4 assists per game. His 747 career assists ranks third in SEC history. Zeigler's 215 career steals rank eighth in conference history. He was a First-Team All-SEC standout during his junior and senior seasons, and earned second-team recognition as a sophomore.
