Goalkeeper Andre Onana ruled out of Man Utd's pre-season United States tour
The 29-year-old Cameroon international has responded well to initial treatment and will join his team-mates on the flight to America later this month, but he will focus on recovery and will not feature in the Premier League Summer Series.

Bryan Mbeumo to Man Utd transfer U-turn as manager privately changes things
Manchester United's pursuit of signing Bryan Mbeumo has been halted by Brentford appointing Keith Andrews as their new boss with the Bees sticking to their valuation of the player Manchester United felt they were closing in on the signing of Bryan Mbeumo - that was before Brentford 's appointment of Keith Andrews threw a spanner in the works with progress stalled. The Red Devils have seen several bids for the Cameroon forward rejected, the last being £60million, with the Bees sticking robustly to their valuation. The two parties remain millions apart in their respective figures and the change in the dugout has not helped. Andrews is another internal hire at Brentford, replacing Thomas Frank. The new Tottenham boss was thought to be keen on Mbeumo, but the north Londoners now look to have gone in a different direction. It leaves United with a free shot at the Brentford star, who himself wants the move, but they have struggled to agree on a fee. The MEN also understands that Andrews' arrival as the new head coach has further complicated matters with the Irishman wanting to keep his top players. Mbeumo scored 20 times last term and has emerged as the club's prime attacking weapon, stepping up impressively after the departure of Ivan Toney. United had wanted to get Mbeumo through the door for the start of their pre-season having originally started negotiations weeks ago for the 25-year-old. That hasn't proved to be the case but if they can striker a deal he could yet join them on their tour of the United States. Brentford's director of football Phil Giles has maintained that the club will not do business unless it makes sense for them and has opened the door to the possibility of Mbeumo staying in west London for the foreseeable. Leaving it up to the Manchester outfit to table the necessary figure. He said: 'We've made our point clear. If Bryan earned a massive move now and it was right for us financially, we'd be open to it. But if he ended up here with us next season, I wouldn't be massively surprised. We'd be delighted. And it would save me a massive headache, frankly.' Mbeumo himself stands to massively increase his pay packet if he does secure a move to Manchester, which could still be on the cards. The Bees have targeted another forward in Ipswich's Omari Hutchinson, who could serve as the man to replace Mbeumo if he leaves. The three Premier League clubs interested in signing Alejandro Garnacho revealed
Three Premier League clubs remain interested in signing Manchester United outcast Alejandro Garnacho. The Argentina international's spectacular fall from grace has culminated in his exclusion from the first team squad this week as Ruben Amorim's charges returned to Carrington for pre-season training. An already fractious relationship between player and manager reached boiling point at the end of last season when Garnacho was surprisingly omitted from Amorin's starting line-up for the Europa League final. United slumped to a damaging 1-0 defeat against Tottenham, after which Garnacho questioned the wisdom of leaving him on the bench until the closing stages. The 21-year-old was forced to take part in United's post-season tour which immediately followed the end of the Premier League campaign, but it represented only a temporary reprieve. Wake up to find news on your club in your inbox every morning with Metro's Football Newsletter. Sign up to our newsletter and then select your team in the link so we can send you football news tailored to you. Garnacho sparked further outrage last month by posting a picture on social media of him wearing an Aston Villa shirt with Marcus Rashford's name and squad number on the back, an act that represented the last straw. Despite his questionable temperament, the winger has a number of suitors, including Villa who have made a slow start to their summer recruitment drive. Rashford and Marco Asensio, two January loan signings who made impacts last term, have returned to their parent clubs. Unai Emery, according to the Daily Mail, is an admirer of Ganacho's and would be interested in bringing him to Villa Park. Chelsea, meanwhile, tried to buy the player back in January and still want to make more attacking signings, despite already having added the likes of Joao Pedro and Liam Delap. While some fans may still feel a pang of regret at seeing such a talented player depart for far less than his true market value, former Manchester United star Paul Parker insists there is only one possible course of action. 'Sell the boy,' Parker said when asked Garnacho's future, speaking via 'He needs to move on, needs to understand what football is about. Not a game of golf, and you need players around you. 'He needs to look at his game and what he is rather than what he wants to be – he should want to be Garnacho, not the former United winger that plays for Portugal… and have a bit of humanity. 'I'd say I have better end product than him. He's more concerned about trying to score and what he's going to do after to celebrate than actually scoring a goal. 'His end product is terrible, absolutely terrible. Living off shinning an overhead kick into the top corner against Everton. 'I wonder what kind of player he is. Not full of tricks, not that quick. I'm trying to figure out what his game is, I really don't know what his strengths are.' London rivals Tottenham are also in the mix for a player whose value has dropped dramatically as a consequence of having been frozen out by United. More Trending The Red Devils originally valued Garnacho at around £70million but will have to accept a much lower fee now in order to get him off their books. United are back in action this weekend when they face Leeds United in Stockholm but Garnacho, along with Rashford, Jadon Sancho, Antony and Tyrell Malacia, have been told to stay behind. Despite Mbeumo, 26, making it clear that his desire is to move to Old Trafford this summer, Brentford have held firm on their valuation of the 20-goal talisman. According to The Guardian, at the end of June Man Utd director of football, Jason Wilcox, believed a package of £65m would be enough to strike a deal. But since then, Brentford have raised their price for the attacker - who reported for pre-season training this week - closer to £70m. However, penny-pinching Man Utd are intent on not being pressured into paying over the odds and not being held to ransom. The Brentford Community Stadium outfit view their position on Mbeumo as firm, as despite his contract expiring next summer they have an optional one-year extension clause. Man Utd vs Arsenal fan battle: 'Odegaard's streets ahead of bottle job Fernandes' | Stoppage Time Ruben Amorim's side are back on the pitch at Carrington and travel to Stockholm for a friendly against Leeds on Saturday, before travelling to Chicago on Tuesday to take part in the Premier League Summer Series. While across the pond they will take on West Ham, Bournemouth and Everton, before hosting Italian side Fiorentina at Old Trafford on August 9 for their final pre-season clash. Man Utd then host Arsenal on the opening day of the Premier League at Old Trafford, while they will travel away to Brentford for a potential Mbeumo reunion at the end of September. 9 The Bees themselves have undergone a major change this summer with the loss of long-term manager Thomas Frank to Tottenham, with Keith Andrews being appointed in his place. They have also been knocked back in an attempt to sign Omari Hutchinson from Ipswich following a shining performance at the Under-21 European Championships won by England. The former Chelsea and Arsenal star has a £35m release clause in his contract with the relegated Tractor Boys. Hutchinson, 21, would have been free to complete a switch if the terms of that clause were met by 5pm on Tuesday, but Brentford failed to meet the requirements due to spreading their bid out in instalments - with the deal needing cash up front. Brentford's opening game sees them travel to Nottingham Forest before hosting Aston Villa the following weekend. 9 Meanwhile, Brentford have failed in an attempt to sign Omari Hutchinson from Ipswich Credit: Getty 9 9 9 TRANSFER NEWS LIVE - KEEP UP WITH ALL THE LATEST FROM A BUSY SUMMER WINDOW
