ITV This Morning sparks outrage as viewers slam 'cruel' dog segment
This Morning viewers saw Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley detail the latest headlines on Monday's show.
This Morning viewers were less than impressed on Monday's show with one particular segment.
As Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley returned to their hosting duties on the ITV show, after a week-long break, they welcomed two guests and their dogs onto the sofa.

However, the two pooches were dressed to the nines as they were wearing frocks like those from the Netflix hit show Bridgerton.

It comes as the dogs were given prizes at this year's annual Greenwich dog show in a new category, Best Bridgerton Lookalike.
One of the dogs called Lola, won first prize at the event and was seen wearing a blue dress and a wig with a crown on top, which her owner held in place.
The other dog, who was runner-up in the show, was a French Bulldog called Charlloe and was in a pink dress with a blonde wig.

Another commented: "Sorry that dog is not happy!#thismorning." In agreement, one viewer added: "I'd suggest, if you have to hold the costume on the dog at all times, it's probably time to stop."
One disgruntled viewer said: "ffs this is just ridiculous it's animal cruelty that's what it is..." Someone else wrote: "This show is so twisted. Preaching one minute, the next showing this type of content. Perhaps get Dr Scott on at the same time!"

With another adding: "I hate seeing stuff like this encouraged on TV #ThisMorning" While someone else said: "This is just ridiculous..... Just let you dogs be f****ng dogs and not an attempt to make you relevant."

While speaking to Lola's owner, she confessed the dog had tried to take the crown off before they were on air, as Cat highlighted: "She seems very happy! Both of them seem so happy."

Ben added: "There will be people asking, 'Are the dogs happy?' because dressing dogs up can sometimes get some criticism. Are they happy wearing the outfits? She seems pretty unbothered."
Charlotte's owner replied: "She's pretty used to wearing clothes in general; when we go out, I tend to dress her up and try to coordinate our outfits."

A brand new "thrilling" ITV drama with "incredible actors" will no doubt take the top spots on the watch list for many Thrilling heist series Frauds will soon launch on ITV and there are already seriously high hopes for the six-part series given its star-studded line up. ‌ Frauds follows the story of a toxic female friendship which eventually begins to turn on its head. ITV have given fans a sneak-peak, at its newest heist drama and fans will be elated to hear that Suranne Jones (Maryland and Vigil) along with Jodie Whittaker (Time, Doctor Who) have both been cast for the lead roles. ‌ By all accounts its a Thelma-and-Louise type heist, set in Southern Spain, with "complex duo" Sam and Bert rekindling after being estranged for over a decade. Their complicated pasts and years of betrayal resurface as they decide to settle one last and final score between them. Suranne Jones is not just starring in the heist series but has instead joined forces with Anne-Marie O'Connor (Maryland, Hellraisers, Trollied) and Giulia Gandini (The Split, Shetland) to co-create and direct the exciting production. ‌ Tricksters, Sam and Bert, parted ways after an "arduous" decade-long prison sentence and now they're contemplating rekindling for one last job. Its synopsis reads: "As Sam has sought a low-key life, Bert's release from a Spanish prison for compassionate reasons reignites her ambition for one final, significant score. "On the pretext of one final, multi-million-pound art heist, Bert attempts to lure Sam out of retirement, but at what cost? Can Sam stay one step ahead of her former friend, who is clearly capable of treachery? Or will the push and pull of their toxic friendship see them both ruined before they are able to pull off the job?" ‌ Completing the star-studded cast is Elizabeth Berrington (Bookish, Ridley, In Bruges), Kate Fleetwood (Such Brave Girls, Mary & George) and Abdul Salis (Love Actually, F1: The Movie). Further cast members also include Karan Gill, Lee Boardman, Christian Cooke, Eduardo Ferrés, Neelam Bakshi, Nansi Nsue and Talisa Garcia. ‌ Actress and executive producer Suranne Jones commented to ITV about her involvement: "Working on Frauds with Anne-Marie and Monumental for the last two years has been a wild ride. We took the idea of toxic female friendship and turned it on its head to give the heist genre an emotional heartbeat. "I have always wanted to work with Jodie, and now I am. I hope you love Bert and Sam and all they get up to as much as we do." Senior Drama Commissioning Editor Helen Ziegler also praised the team, adding: "We are delighted to be working with Suranne, Anne Marie and the brilliant team at Monumental on their unique take on a heist show. "At its heart this is a story of a complex, surprising friendship, which asks if Sam and Bert can pull together for one last job, or whether the past will derail them. Suranne and Jodie are two incredible actors and it'll be thrilling to see what they bring to the central characters." Frauds will air on ITV1 and ITVX later this year.

Love Island fans speculate on future of show as Toni and Cach crowned 2025 winners

Love Island has crowned their 2025 winners as fans speculate what ITV has in store for the future Love Island 2025 has officially finished and with a bang, as the 2025 winners were announced on Monday night. After a rollercoaster of a season packed with unexpected twists, unlikely connections and plenty of drama, fan favourites Toni and Cach were crowned the winners of series 12. ‌ The pair beat runners up Harry and Shakira for first place, stealing the hearts of the public despite their rocky relationship. Toni, originally from Connecticut, flew over from the US to take part in the UK edition of the show and the gamble seems to have paid off as she found herself a real connection. ‌ ‌ The couple met in Casa Amor, when Cach came in as a Casa boy and they quickly became fan favourites. Though the pair are from opposite sides of the world, they have stated they plan to give their relationship a go outside the villa, with Toni, 24, moving to London to be closer to Cach. Despite their fair share of drama, particularly surrounding Harrison and Toni's previous connection, the couple revealed to host Maya Jama that they had dropped the "L-bomb" privately the night before the final. Following the result, viewers have been taking to Reddit to discuss whether series 12 will reshape the whole formula of the show moving forward after a raft of dramatic moments this time round. ‌ From Casa Amor boys being overwhelmingly popular this season, as three of them made it to the final, to an OG couple rekindling things a week before the series ended, this season changed the usual format of the show. Additionally, outspoken finalist Yasmin challenged the show's typical casting choices, bringing a completely different Islander attitude to any before - which was an instant hit with viewers. ‌ One user asked the question: "Do you think series 12 will change the way people approach being on Love Island in future? I feel like we had a decent amount of things happen this year that usually don't." The question sparked a huge reaction from other fans who speculated about the future of the show. One fan replied: "I hope so. The show was getting to be boring and too formulaic with everyone only staying in their original couples to be safe... The CASA boys were universally liked and made it to the finals. I loved the shake up!" ‌ Another viewer was unsure whether the shift would be a good or bad thing, writing: "I think messy authenticity won this season, and that will have an impact. However, whether that's a good impact (people being vulnerable and taking risks) or a bad one (people trying to perform or narrate their own messiness), I don't know." For others, season 12 will be one to beat considering all the drama. One fan stated: "This season was chef's kiss. It was SO good. It's gonna be hard to top honestly... Maybe in previous ones they've chosen people who would get along in the villa but after the success of this season, they may just bin that idea and go with the drama lol." One viewer pointed to the fact the show needs a 'villain' to keep things interesting, penning: "TO BE HONEST, you need some proper dirty dogs in the show. Yes, they aren't likeable, but f**k me it spiced it up. This series was the first back to its old ways." Still not everyone was keen on how divided the islanders seemed this year, as one viewer hoped this wouldn't be the case going forwards. They wrote: "I'm looking forward to not seeing another DIVIDE once was triggering enough!"
