NBA Star James Harden Responds to Fan Trolling After Paris Fashion Week

NBA Star James Harden Responds to Fan Trolling After Paris Fashion Week

Miami Herald13 hours ago

James Harden embraced a variety of off-court pursuits as the NBA offseason began. Among his recent activities, the LA Clippers standout made a striking appearance at Paris Fashion Week-this time not as a celebrity guest in the audience, but as a model confidently strutting down the runway.
The 11-time NBA All-Star traded the hardwood floor for a fashion runway as he walked for Willy Chavarria's Spring/Summer 2026 show.
The Mexican-American designer not only showcased his designs but also had a special collaboration with sneaker giant Adidas, which made Clippers shooting guard the perfect headliner for the show.
In a sportswear-centric section of the fashion show, the 2018 NBA Most Valuable Player showcased his signature dapper aura in a jersey-inspired T-shirt and baggy cargo shorts.
Harden's runway look exuded a major street-style vibe, sporting the new Adidas model, mid-calf socks and a paisley bandana worn under a black cap.
Adding a touch of mystery and swagger to his confident strut, he completed the outfit with dark sunglasses.
Unfortunately, his runway appearance didn't sit well with fans, with some pointing out his stiff walk and lack of typical model poise.
"It's a Paris Fashion Week runway and James Harden is here walking like an Optimus bot," a user shared on X.
"James Harden walking at Paris Fashion Week like his knees only have one more NBA season left in them. Is retirement near for the superstar?" another post reads.
Instead of feeling bad about the criticism, the NBA superstar joined in the fun with a playful comment responding to the reactions.
"Runway Uno. Finally got the chance to walk the runway in Paris, especially thanks to @willychavarrianewyork. Y'all been frying my walk for 24 hours straight though chill," he captioned his Instagram post, showing that he acknowledged the feedback.

Full ESPN story on LeBron James exercising his $52.6 million player option for the 2025-26 season and what it means for his Los Angeles Lakers future: — Shams Charania (@ShamsCharania) June 29, LeBron James opts in to $52.6 million option with Lakers for 2025-26 season: Report

Anthony Edwards Posts 2-Word Reaction to Naz Reid Deal

Anthony Edwards Posts 2-Word Reaction to Naz Reid Deal originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Anthony Edwards seems fully committed to winning with the Minnesota Timberwolves. After getting drafted five years ago as the team's No. 1 pick, he's only become better with each season and looks to be on the brink of playing for a championship. Advertisement He and the team have failed twice to reach the NBA Finals in back-to-back seasons, losing to Luka and Dallas, followed by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Oklahoma City. While the Western Conference remains competitive, Minnesota is taking significant steps to secure a playoff-contending roster. Over the past several weeks, speculation has been circulating about free agents Julius Randle and Naz Reid. Of the two players, Reid was the one who many people believed might test the free agency market and potentially choose a different team. However, big news hit on Friday, as the Timberwolves signed him to a new deal. According to ESPN, it's worth $125 million over five years and includes a player option in 2029-30. Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards (5) celebrates with center Naz Reid (11).Matt Krohn-Imagn Images Many fans likely breathed a sigh of relief as an essential part of the Timberwolves roster remains on the team. Reid joined the team in 2019 as an undrafted player and has since become a valuable contributor off Minnesota's bench, backing up center Rudy Gobert and forward Julius Randle in games. Advertisement Last year's Sixth Man of the Year, Reid, averaged 14.2 points, six rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game last season. His teammate, Ant-Man, expressed his sentiments about Minnesota's new deal. Edwards hadn't been active on his X regarding either the team's recent NBA Draft picks, Joan Beringer and Rocco Zikarsky. However, once the news hit about Reid, Ant-Man posted a photo on X showing him and his teammate after a win against the Los Angeles Lakers. He included just two words: "He's back." Keeping a roster of talented players together, including rising stars ready to compete for the Finals, is undoubtedly a step in the right direction for this Minnesota team, and it seems Edwards is pleased to see his teammate staying there. During Paul Allen's KFAN FM 100.3 interview, Timberwolves head coach Chris Finch previously said that he believed both Reid and Randle would be back with the team next season. There has been no news yet regarding Randle. Advertisement Meanwhile, ESPN's NBA analyst and writer, Brian Windhorst, said during a draft night reactions live stream that he thought Alexander-Walker would leave via free agency. Randle's Extension Ends Alexander-Walker's Time In Minnesota

Randle's Extension Ends Alexander-Walker's Time In Minnesota originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Minnesota Timberwolves and Julius Randle have agreed to a three-year deal worth $100 million. The third year will be a player option Randle could opt into during the 2027-28 season. Advertisement With this extension and Naz Reid's new deal, the Timberwolves have retained two of their players. Unfortunately, this leaves Nickeil Alexander-Walker in a tough spot, as he is likely leaving the team after this contract. Credit: Brad Rempel-Imagn Images Timberwolves president of basketball operations Tim Connelly always wanted to bring the trio back. Unfortunately, it looks like bringing back Randle and Reid on bigger contracts means Alexander-Walker is the odd man out. Retaining Alexander-Walker would require the non-taxpayer mid-level exception, which the Timberwolves cannot give. They want to stay under the second apron to avoid the repeater penalties on roster construction, and Alexander-Walker would bring that problem up for them. Advertisement Related: Anthony Edwards Posts 2-Word Reaction to Naz Reid Deal The Timberwolves Are Losing A Vital Player With Alexander-Walker exiting, it is a significant loss for the team. He was one of the most reliable guards on the team, as he could handle the ball, but he could also defend at the highest level. At the same time, he was always unafraid of the big moments. He could knock down a big three-pointer, but he can also lock down on the opposite end. He will be missed in Minnesota, especially with how much he stepped up during the Western Conference Finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder. The team that signs him will be lucky to get him because he is the quintessential modern-day guard. He will be a bargain for any team that gives him the non-taxpayer mid-level exception. Advertisement The teams who are looking to get him are the Detroit Pistons and the Atlanta Hawks. Detroit is likely the favorite, especially after the news of Malik Beasley's gambling controversy came out. Alexander-Walker's Exit Opens The Path For Other Players Now that Alexander-Walker is on his way out after the Randle extension, more opportunities are available. The two players who benefit the most are Terrence Shannon Jr. and Jaylen Clark. They are promising guards who could do the same thing as Alexander-Walker but much cheaper. At the same time, they still have the potential to tap into with their youth. Rob Dillingham could also get some burn with Alexander-Walker's departure, as he could slot alongside Anthony Edwards in the backcourt. Advertisement Of course, Donte DiVincenzo is still the top guard off the bench, but you can expect those three players to stand out to head coach Chris Finch, who took a liking to those players during the 2024-25 season.
