Out-of-control Persona hits parked vehicles in Senawang

SEREMBAN: A technician was left counting his losses after two of his cars parked outside his home in Taman Bukit Seri Senawang were struck by an out-of-control vehicle early this morning.
The 5.40am incident involved a Toyota Vios, a Perodua Myvi and a Proton Persona.
District deputy police chief Superintendent Muhd Amrul Yazid Anuar said the Seremban traffic complaint counter received information about the crash at 8.48am.
"Preliminary investigations found that the Proton Persona, driven by a 22-year-old man, was coming from the direction of a factory.
"The man was on his way home in the same neighbourhood when he is believed to have lost control of the vehicle while avoiding an oncoming car," he said when contacted.
Amrul said the out-of-control vehicle rammed into the two parked cars belonging to the resident.
"All individuals involved have lodged police reports regarding the incident.
The case is being investigated under Rule 10 of the Road Traffic Rules 1959 (LN 166/59)," he added.

Police said investigations revealed that the incident took place on 11 July at around 4pm at Jalan Lebuh Pantai in George Town. A police report was lodged by the complainant, a 25-year-old man, later that evening at 7.55pm. The man told police that he was driving along the road when his car collided with a Perodua Myvi driven by the suspect. Following the collision, the suspect exited his vehicle and struck the rear door of the complainant's car with a metal-rod-like object. The complainant estimated his losses at approximately RM3,000. The case is being investigated under Section 427 of the Penal Code for committing mischief. Police seized a vehicle and a cane believed to be linked to the incident during the arrest. 'The suspect admitted to using a cane, but we are still investigating,' Lee said. The suspect has been remanded for one day until 13 July to assist with the investigation.

MARAN: A religious school teacher was killed and three others were injured in an accident in Jalan Besar, near Jengka 20 here, today. In the 9.30am accident, the Perodua Myvi driven by Nurfarah Izyan Ismail, 28, from Temerloh, collided with a mobile drilling truck. "Nurfarah was on her way home to Sungai Gau, Temerloh, from SMA Al-Basriah in Jerantut," Maran police chief Superintendent Wong Kim Wai said. "She is believed to have lost control of her vehicle and veered into the opposite lane before crashing into an oncoming lorry. "The 51-year-old lorry driver from Bandar Jengka has a fractured left thigh. "Two of his assistants, who were in the front passenger seat, suffered minor injuries. "A fourth assistant, who was seated in the rear section of the lorry, escaped unhurt," he said today. Wong said the lorry driver and the two injured assistants, aged 25 and 45, were receiving treatment at Jengka Hospital. He said the case is being investigated for reckless or dangerous driving.
