Emmerdale fans beg for Dawn Fletcher to exit ITV show
Alongside that, she is the special guardian of Lucas' half-sister, Clemmie Reed.
She has been involved in some big storylines, including recently having an affair with Joe Tate, but viewers have seemingly grown tired of her.
A post was made on the r/Emmerdale Reddit page, with the caption: "OH MY GOD WRITE DAWN OUT PLEASE!!!!!"
The user added: "That's it really. Just that. Nothing more," with plenty of people agreeing with the sentiment.
Emmerdale fans criticise "unbearable" Dawn Fletcher
Plenty of Emmerdale viewers have found the character to be very unlikeable of late, and are keen for her to move on from the show.
One person said: "God, she is so unbearable. And her 'I'm just looking out for the kids' rubbish should be her new catchphrase from now on.
"Her logic makes 0 sense. If she really is looking out for the kids, like Billy said earlier, she'd leave Joe without a second thought.
"I actually wonder if we're meant to like Dawn or not at this point. I actually don't know anymore."
Another shared a similar view, commenting: "Billy was right to question whether or not she cares about her kids!
"Clemmie was terrified because of Joe, even to the point of calling social services to get away from him! but that doesn't stop Dawn lusting after him! Unbelievable!"
A third posted: "I skip EVERY SCENE WITH DAWN. Do not understand why she is on this show still....."
Some were making theories to understand the logic behind the character's actions.

One said: "At this point it's feel like the only "save" for her actions is if she really is covering for Clemmie and for some insane reason is lying to everyone about it. But even that, I think, falls flat at this point.
"The entire 'Joe got pushed plot' has been so poorly done I'm not sure what the writers are even thinking at this point."
Another shared: "She used to be on one my favourite characters but I can't stand her now! Just as shameless as her dad!"

I left Emmerdale stardom for a completely different job - here's how much soap actors REALLY get paid and why it doesn't go as far as you'd think
Former Emmerdale star Kelli Hollis has revealed how much soap actors REALLY get paid and why it doesn't go as far as you'd think. The actress, 48, who played Ali Spencer in the ITV soap between 2011 and 2015, recently ditched the showbiz life and relocated to Pattaya, Thailand. And she's doing something totally different to acting and is now the owner of a cannabis shop called La Choza Pratumnak. But a fan recently asked how much soap stars are paid, to which she said: '[On] Emmerdale I explained that you get an episode fee and you're guaranteed so many episodes a year... 'So if we're saying roughly £500 and up [per episode], and you were contracted to do 90 [episodes, that's 45k, it's obviously a good wage.' She continued: 'But it's not like the "rich, rich", you'd think famous actors would be earning.' The star added: 'Now, that's that sort of middle of the road [salary]. 'I'm not going to lie when I was at Emmerdale to my knowledge, one of the highest paid actors was on a thousand pound episodes.' The telly star also highlighted some fees that people in the industry wouldn't think about. Kelli said: 'It would only be 45, but then you get a buyout, which is pretty much the same as your wage, so I'll top that up to 90. 'Then, you've got the agent's commission, which is usually 12 and a half percent," she said. 'And because you're self-employed, you have to put 40 [per cent] away for tax.' Kelli owns her 'weed bar' with her partner Matt Dawson. Speaking to LeedsLive in 2023, Kelli opened up about her business, remarking: 'We'd been to Pattaya a few times on a holiday, we did a bit of island hopping and in June they legalised marijuana and we found this really cute little shop and got really good friends with the owner and decided to basically set up our own weed shop.' She went on to say of her shop, called La Choza Pratumnak: 'I'll be honest I've smoked weed since I was about fifteen but I'm not a hard-core weed smoker, I can't do full joints and edibles and all that so it probably bodes well or I'd probably smoke all the profits! 'It's definitely not something I envisaged but we've definitely made the right choice.' She's also opened up about her products that she sells. Speaking about her weed bar, Kelli said: 'I actually don't like the feeling [of being stoned]. "But to be honest, I have become a little partial to the edibles here, obviously, because I have to test the products. "But that is not to be stoned. 'I promote ours for rest and for aches and pains for people who don't want to smoke, so I will have mine before bed.' Kelli shot to fame in the late 90s. She played Yvonne Karib in Shameless between 2004 and 2010. The star also landed roles in Waterloo Road, Ackley Bridge and Clink. In 2020 she also played Rachel Edwards in Doctors.

Oasis fans believe Noel Gallagher's 'tears' prove important point about reunion
It was an emotional night for Britpop fans yesterday in Cardiff as Oasis kicked off their first tour in 16 years. Yet it wasn't just the bucket hat-wearing crowds who got wrapped up in the poignancy of the moment. Keen-eyed concertgoers couldn't help but notice that Noel Gallagher appeared to be crying at the start and the end of the show. Those keen to defend Noel, 58, from accusations that he only agreed to reunite with his brother Liam for money are now using this as proof that the Oasis reunion isn't a 'cash grab'. 'Seeing this photo of Noel crying before and then calling Liam over for a hug afterwards, it's clear to see this was not just a simple cash grab,' wrote @dylanwhxtbread on X. 'I hope everyone who said that Noel did this for a cash grab realised how much they were talking outta their *rse,' agreed @natonfilm. 'Noel put his whole heart & soul into this performance, ' they continued. 'He literally called Liam over for a hug and was in tears. This means just as much to him as it does for Liam.' Meanwhile, @DlRTYSHlRT wrote, 'Some were saying that Noel was doing this as a cash grab, but tonight he walked on stage crying and ended the show by calling Liam over for a hug.' The sentiment wasn't exclusive to X on the Oasis section of Reddit Fantastic_Vast_5078 argued with another fan that Noel wouldn't be getting so emotionally invested if he were purely motivated by money. 'There's a big difference between emotional and miserable, they argued. 'Due to their past, we kind of know what a miserable, doesn't want to be there, Noel looks like. It looks nothing like tonight.' Warp 757 took a more balanced view, agreeing that the Noel fans saw last night 'was a very different Noel to the last Oasis tour.' 'It's possible the decision was originally made for financial reasons,' they finished. 'But now he is actually enjoying it and they're getting on better than expected.' The rumours that Noel only agreed to an Oasis reunion for financial reasons started to circulate almost as soon as the group's tour was announced. Our Deputy TV editor (and proud Mancunian) Tom Percival shares his thoughts… It's easy for cynics to claim that Noel only agreed to do the tour for money, and perhaps there's a grain of truth in that. But I challenge anyone to watch Noel and Liam's performance last night and not say that both brothers weren't giving it their all – Liam sounded better than he has in years, and Noel was playing lead on so many songs. It would have been relatively easy for the brothers to coast through this gig, but neither did. They put their heart and soul into it for the fans and for themselves. Fans were quick to point to Noel's recent divorce from Sara MacDonald – which reportedly cost the star £20million – as the reason for his sudden decision to get the band back together. The tour is expected to net Noel and Liam £50 million each, and there have been unverified reports that this helped motivate the older Gallagher to bury the hatchet with 'our kid'. It doesn't help matters that in 2015, Noel told Q magazine [via Rolling Stone] that he'd only do it 'for the money'. More Trending 'Would I do it for charity? No way,' he said. 'We're not that kind of people. For Glastonbury? I don't think Michael Eavis has got enough money. 'But would we get back together one day? As long as everybody is still alive and still has their hair, it's always a possibility. But only for the money.' In 2016, Noel would also Rolling Stone, 'Look, to be honest, I don't need the money. But that might change if they get offered $50 million 10 years from now.' Metro has reached out to Noel to see why and is he was Crying His Heart Out. Got a story? Meet the 'hidden' Russo sibling leading her Marvel director brothers' studio
You don't have to be a major cinephile to recognise the names Joe and Anthony Russo thanks to their work on four of Marvel's biggest-ever films, including Avengers: Endgame – briefly the highest-grossing film of all time. Often referred to simply as 'the Russo brothers', their entire careers have been publicly intertwined, working together first in sitcoms like Arrested Development before indie films and then linking up with Disney to make their names internationally. But alongside that timeline, there's also been another Russo building a profile in the industry – a Russo sister, Angela Russo-Otstot. Russo-Otstot, 46, has had plenty of her own successes, selling a script to HBO in her early 20s – 'quite atypical and a very fortunate place to start' – before spending a decade as a TV writer-producer on shows like The Shield. But what many may not realise is how influential she's become in recent years. After all, this is the woman who is producing the eagerly anticipated Avengers films, Doomsday and Secret Wars, alongside her siblings, thanks to her role as Chief Creative Officer at AGBO, the studio Joe and Anthony founded in 2017. Or as Joe tells me later: 'I mean, she really runs the company.' Russo-Otstot has been more under the radar than her brothers, but this has shifted as she has taken charge at AGBO and stepped into a more visible job. 'As the person who heads up the company, I am able to see everything through, whether it's across film or series or gaming or animation,' she tells me when we meet at the Old Course Hotel in St Andrews. 'Because of that, I am out there, in production and beyond – releasing as well – and able to participate more.' We're talking in Scotland in April because Russo-Otstot and her brother Joe are here supporting the Sands International Film Festival, which AGBO co-founded as a major sponsor with the University of St Andrews after Joe's daughter attended as a student. Russo-Otstot is comfortable herself in this setting after teaching screenwriting and playwriting at two Cleveland-based universities, the family's hometown, during a break from Hollywood to raise her kids. She describes it as 'life-changing'. 'In doing those courses, I really shifted my focus to championing other writers, and that prepared me very well for my time at ABGO, when I came back and started in the story department. Sometimes I wrote or developed on projects [including 2021 Tom Holland crime drama Cherry], but often I worked in partnership and mentorship of the writers that we had.' Russo-Otstot focuses a lot on AGBO's mentoring and passion for indie filmmaking during our conversation, which might seem surprising when the studio's producing one of the biggest movies currently shooting (when we meet, her brothers are already filming Avengers: Doomsday in London, which is why I presume only Joe is able to get away). But they walk the walk too. It was such a strange request because I was a writer and not a traditionally trained executive 'Anthony and Joe have always had a mentality of paying it forward because they were mentored by Steven Soderbergh when they were starting out.' Award-winning filmmaker Soderbergh also came to Sands in 2024, while later that day Russo-Otstot and her brother will participate in a talk alongside filmmaker Frank E. Flowers, whose upcoming swashbuckler The Bluff, starring Priyanka Chopra, they have developed (thanks to another blossoming partnership, this time with Amazon). She does admit she was baffled when her brothers initially asked her to work with them, however. 'I thought it was such a strange request because I was a writer and not a traditionally trained executive, but to them that was exactly the point,' she says. 'They wanted a collection of artists working with executives that would shepherd other artists and really protect them throughout the development process especially – but also make sure that the creative was the driver first and foremost.' AGBO is at the forefront of major cinematic and streaming releases thanks to the work the three Russos have done for Netflix too. The Gray Man, executive produced by Russo-Otstot and directed by her siblings, is one of the most watched films ever on Netflix with 139.3million views in its first 91 days, while she was also a producer on this year's The Electric State. When we're meeting, The Electric State has not long been rinsed by critics and its rumoured budget of $320m (£234.3m) widely reported on ('Not confirmed!' Russo-Otstot interjects). To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video But she appears unfazed after telling me that 'success for a streamer means something very different than theatrical'; she's also a big fan of the power of day and date global releasing and how it allows everybody to engage 'in a singular conversation around it'. And as to the long-gestating Electric State specifically? 'Look, that film is going to be an evergreen title. It's a family film that will stay on platform, and so it will be returned to again and again over the years, which is wonderful and exciting.' She's also proud of the film's ambition in bringing together live action and animation 'in such a seamless manner'. 'We had to work with a whole host of artists, hundreds and hundreds of them – human artists – who painstakingly brought those robots to life in such a beautiful and exciting manner. What was achieved in terms of the level of execution with visual effects in that film is quite a feat.' It's also far from a cheap feat. 'I am very excited, though, to be back in the theatrical space with the Avengers, and there's certainly a power of global connectivity with those films as well – they've also achieved that to a degree that perhaps no one else has.' The Avengers films are the crown jewel in the Russo family's portfolio, and these two upcoming movies are the first Marvels that AGBO will also produce. It feels like 'something that's come full circle' for her brothers, shares Otstot-Russo, and in terms of her being along for the ride, she continues: 'It's kind of lovely that they're bringing what they've learned and developed and we've done together at AGBO over the last eight or nine years back to Marvel for this run.' For brother Joe, 53 (Anthony is the oldest by 17 months, and their other sister, Gabriella Russo Rosalina, opted to follow in their father's footsteps into law instead), Russo-Otstot is the best at 'everything'. 'You can collaborate with her on anything, and she's always going to make it better, figure out the right path through it, how to creatively execute it, who the best partner and creative talent is for it. She really is, in my mind, one of the best executives in the business,' he tells me ahead of their talk later. You could argue their collaboration was foreshadowed when Russo-Otstot and their mother cooked meals for the cast and crew on the set of the Joe and Anthony's first film, Pieces, in 1997 – but Russo says he never would even have dreamed at that moment where they'd all be in 2025. More Trending 'We were just two kids from Cleveland who made a movie for very little money, using our uncle's shop to film at and family and friends for the crew members. It's been a very strange trajectory for us.' He's also relishing bringing the two major creative endeavours of his and Anthony's career together, alongside their sister. 'I love it because our two families are AGBO and Marvel and to bring them together, to me, is really fulfilling. And we have a lot of creative assets at AGBO, Marvel has a lot of creative assets… so we put the chocolate and the peanut butter together and we get something really special.' Got a story?
