'Best crime thriller of 2025' gets season 2 on Netflix after 26,100,000 views
A new smash Netflix series has been renewed for a second season after dominating the global streaming charts.
Untamed saw Eric Bana lead an all-star cast alongside Sam Neill, Rosemarie DeWitt, Lily Santiago, Wilson Bethel and William Smillie.
The six-part drama follows Kyle Turner (Bana), a special agent for the National Parks Service, as he takes on an investigation into a brutal death.
However, the incident sends him 'on a collision course with the dark secrets within the park, and in his own past'.
Many made their way through the episodes at warp speed, and, unsurprisingly, the show went on to top the global charts on Netflix with 26.1million views, and 127.1m hours watched.

Netflix has now confirmed the thrilling procedural will be back for a second season, sharing the news on their official X account.

The show currently claims a Rotten Tomatoes score of 71% from the audience, compared to a 80% ranking from impressed critics. Metro branded it the best crime thriller of 2025 so far in a glowing five star review.
Although there is currently no news on how the Untamed story will continue, after the first season wrapped up fairly neatly, we've had some insight to tell us the setting likely won't be Yosemite.
Shedding light on what more episodes could possibly involve, co-showrunner Elle Smith told TV Insider: 'If we got the opportunity to do it again, it would be getting to explore a different park, a different case.
'We would do this forever if they let us, but we'll see. We'll see how many adventures Turner has left in him.'

Created by Elle Smith and Mark L Smith (The Revenant scribe, so no stranger to conjuring an unforgiving setting), Untamed at first glance looks like another bog-standard police procedural.
But what puts it head and shoulders above any of the crime thrillers Netflix has offered up so far this year – and more in the leagues of Broadchurch or Mare of Easttown – is the inventive setting, with a cast singing in perfect harmony.
It's no easy task Kyle Turner is up against. Trying to enforce the rule of law on this wilderness is a fool's errand. CCTV is thin on the ground and the forensic experts called in are the type who specialise in vultures that pick over human remains.
As the twists and turns take shape, bringing into question unsolved cases from years gone by, Untamed becomes a show you will struggle to look away from. You will gasp. You will sweat. Good thing there's already more on the way.

Heaping praise on Untamed, Linda R commented: 'Fast paced with startling turns of event. Well cast with believable portrayals of individual characters while still maintaining a 'Hollywood pretty' aesthetic. Yosemite is stunning.

Roger Daltrey is 'nervous about making it to the end of The Who's final tour'
For over half a century, The Who have been a dominating force in rock. But now, as their final tour winds toward its close, Daltrey admits he's not sure he'll make it to the end. 'I'm going to be 82 next year,' he told The Times. 'Fortunately, my voice is still as good as ever. I'm still singing in the same keys and it's still bloody loud, but I can't tell you if it will still be there in October. There's a big part of me that's going: I just hope I make it through.' That candid uncertainty, delivered without self-pity, is typical of Daltrey. But it also reflects the toll that time and illness have taken. Nine years ago, he contracted meningitis, an infection that left lingering damage. 'It's buggered up my internal thermometer, so every time I start singing in any climate over 75 degrees I'm wringing with sweat, which drains my body salts. The potential to get really ill is there,' he explains. 'And, I have to be honest, I'm nervous about making it to the end of the tour.' Daltrey's relationship with physical punishment has deep roots. He believes his hearing was compromised long before The Who's amps reached legendary decibel levels – back when he worked at a sheet metal factory in Acton at age 16. Today, the damage is creeping in other directions. At the Teenage Cancer Trust concert in March, he told the crowd not only was he going deaf, but also losing his sight. He even joked that if he lost his voice too, he'd 'go the full Tommy .' When asked about his vision now, he answers simply: 'Not good.' He wears dark glasses due to incurable macular degeneration and roars with laughter when asked if he uses an Autocue on stage. 'There's no point. Can't f***ing see it!' And yet, there's no trace of resignation. the drive to deliver and to do right by the audience is undiminished. More Trending 'But it's not easy when you're dealing with a partner who can be ambivalent about it.' The partner in question, Pete Townshend, has been openly apathetic about touring in recent years, describing it as more chore than thrill: 'So he says until he's out there — and he loves the money,' Daltrey chuckles. 'But look at those early Who concerts. Every night was a war. That's how we got the music across. We're not going to turn into f***ing Abba overnight, are we?' WWE injury exposed as fake in 'ruse of the century' at SummerSlam
A major WWE superstar thought to be injured just a few weeks ago made a sensational return at SummerSlam. Last month at Saturday Night's Main Event, Seth Rollins' match against LA Knight appeared to be cut short as the Visionary landed awkwardly on his knee, which has a history of issues. In the headline match of the first night of SummerSlam, CM Punk toppled GUNTHER to become World Heavyweight Champion, marking his first world title since capturing AEW gold in September 2022. However, Rollins music hit as he made his way onto the stage with crutches, which he threw aside to huge cheers from the crowd. Queen's strict royal style rule she swore by but Meghan Markle didn't follow it
The late Queen often stepped out in bright outfits for major events - but there is one colour that she refused to wear, that Meghan wore at many engagement The late Queen Elizabeth was known for wearing bright colours to major royal events, stepping out in colour-coordinated outfits that featured matching dresses, coats, hats and complimentary accessories. Over her decades as monarch, the Queen became known as a style icon and inspiration, prompting many to play with all the colours of the rainbow when picking their daily outfits. While the late Queen always opted for daring and colourful ensembles, one member of the royal family chose to do the opposite: Meghan Markle. According to royal author Robert Hardman, there was one major reason why the Queen always chose to be brightly dressed - so she stood out during busy royal events. In Hardman's biography titled Our Queen, the royal author described the late royal as 'engagingly modest' despite being one of the most famous women in the world. He said: 'My favourite remark she ever said was, 'I can never wear beige because nobody will know who I am'.' The Queen's colourful side came out during ceremonies and other royal engagements that required a smart dress code, and she didn't hold back with her outfits as she made sure the crowd could spot her, especially due to her below average 5'3' frame. As well as wanting to wear bright colours, the late Queen also tailored her outfits to fit the nation that she was visiting. For example, during her visits to Australia, the monarch would always wear the nation's colours of green and gold. Journalist and royal author Sali Hughes also claimed in her 2019 book, titled Our Rainbow Queen, that Queen Elizabeth and her dressers would carefully consider the itinerary of a tour or engagement before settling on an outfit. Ms Hughes wrote: 'She won't attend an engagement at a grassy venue, like a racecourse or garden party, in camouflaging green. But she will happily deploy green to stand out where it's needed.' While the Queen always opted for colourful tones to dress in, Meghan Markle adopted the opposite style technique, as she revealed in her Netflix docuseries that, during her time as a working royal, she would don neutral colours to 'blend in'. Meghan explained her fashion choices, saying in the docuseries alongside her husband Prince Harry: "Most of the time that I was in the U.K., I rarely wore colour. There was thought in that. "To my understanding, you could never wear the same colour as Her Majesty [Queen Elizabeth II] if there's a group event, but then you also shouldn't be wearing the same colour as one of the other more senior members of the family," she said, possibly referring to royals like Princess Kate or Queen Camilla. "So I was like, 'Well, what's a colour that they'll probably never wear?' Camel, beige, white. So, I wore a lot of muted tones, but it was also so I could just blend in. I'm not trying to stand out here. There was no version of me joining this family and me not doing everything I could to fit in. I don't want to embarrass the family."
