Hannah J Davies 9.10pm, Channel 4 Griff Rhys Jones travels from the Atlantic to the Gulf and takes in all the US deep south has to offer en route. First up, in Tennessee he learns how a dam created in the 30s helped to forge the atomic bomb. Then, in Nashville, it's all about the music and dancing. HR 11.35pm, ITV1 Katherine begins doubting Martin – the one person she thought she could rely on, while Eddie claims he's secretly working for her, in the penultimate episode. Meanwhile, there's a tense showdown and a bombshell, before things get really messy. Ali Catterall The Thicket, 9.20am, 6.05pm, Sky Cinema Premiere Peter Dinklage heads up this impressively bleak neo-western, as a bounty hunter on the trail of a kidnapped girl. Ostensibly in the same redemptive vein as The Searchers, it's closer in flinty spirit to something like The Revenant. His high body count decorating the snowy wilderness, Dinklage is as formidable as usual – but almost outmatched by Juliette Lewis as Cut Throat Bill, the misleadingly named varmint he's pursuing. Director Elliott Lester goes in hard on seedy saloon atmospherics and a Darwinian survivalist vibe. I love celeb-spotting. Even if it's standing on Mick Jagger's foot
I liked the story about Liam Neeson hitting it off with (and possibly, we all want to believe, having it off with) Pamela Anderson after making a film together. It reminded me that a couple of years ago I saw Liam Neeson in the flesh. It was in Broadway Market in Hackney and he was with what looked like his son, although I don't know which one. They were browsing a stall selling vintage coats. It was definitely Neeson. I thought about asking him to recite the famous 'very particular set of skills' speech from Taken but I thought: nah, leave him be. That got me thinking about other celebrity sightings. I don't mean professionally, as an interviewer; I mean as a punter, off duty as it were. I've racked up a fair few. Jimmy Hill, for instance. Although I did also interview Jimmy Hill, now sadly no longer with us, he makes this list because I also once saw him in the street. Or, should I say, dans la rue, in Monflanquin, southwest France, on market day. I remember Jim's skinny white legs poking out from his baggy scoutmaster shorts, the classic Englishman abroad. That must be 20 years ago.

The US star wore the brown frock for the French premiere of the second series of Netflix hit Wednesday, directed by Tim Burton. The show, based on the daughter from The Addams Family, will return next week after the original run became a ratings hit following its release in 2022. On the reception to the first series, Jenna, 22, said: 'I'm still very appreciative and grateful. "We didn't know that anyone was going to watch the show. 'You do these things and you don't know what's to come, so it was very overwhelming.' A former child star, Jenna was catapulted into the A list when Wednesday – viewed 252 million times and counting – launched in 2022. And by her own refreshingly candid admission, that rapid rise to the top was overwhelming. 'To be quite frank, after the show and trying to figure everything out, I was an unhappy person,' she told Harper's Bazaar in May. 'After the pressure, the attention – as somebody who's quite introverted, that was so intense and so scary.' The eight-month shoot in Romania had been challenging, with Jenna revealing: 'I was alone. Never had any hot water. The boilers in two of my apartments were broken, so I always took cold showers.' At least she'll be getting a warm welcome from Wednesday fans as the show returns to their screens.
