Yahoo7 days ago
Three women have been arrested after an early-morning stabbing in North Vancouver on Saturday, with police saying two of them needed hospitalization for their injuries.
North Vancouver RCMP say that they were called around 2:45 a.m. PT on Saturday after reports of a distraught woman near the Lonsdale Quay bus loop.
Police say she had stabbing injuries, and they later found two other women on the second floor of a building above the bus loop. One of them also had similar injuries.
According to police, the three women were involved in a dispute and an assault occurred, and they think the stabbings are isolated in nature.
"There was a dispute between the parties, who were known to each other, before the alleged assault occurred," said Cpl. Mansoor Sahak in a statement.
Police say the three arrested women are in their early 20s. Of those three, the two who were injured were also hospitalized, one with minor injuries and the other with serious injuries.
Police say anyone with more information on the case should contact them.

Florida Mom Arrested After Allegedly Having Brown Grass and a Dirty Mailbox, Violating HOA Rules: I Was Treated 'Like a Criminal'

"To be taken to jail and to be treated like that for brown grass at my own home ... that's horrible," Irena Green saidNEED TO KNOW A Florida woman was arrested after allegedly violating the guidelines of her local homeowner's association (HOA) It was alleged in a lawsuit that Irena Green had "browning grass" on her lawn, a dirty mailbox and a commercial van, among other minor violations "To be taken to jail and to be treated like that for brown grass at my own home ... that's horrible," the homeowner saidA Florida woman is speaking out after she was arrested for allegedly violating the guidelines of her local homeowner's association (HOA). Irena Green was jailed on May 23 after The Trowbridge Company Inc. alleged in a lawsuit that the homeowner had violated community appearance rules, ABC Action News reported. The HOA management company, based in Hillsborough County, claimed that Green had 'browning grass' on her lawn, a dirty mailbox and a commercial van, among other minor violations, which they said they ordered the woman to correct. 'The grass has started turning brown. So then they started sending notes,' Green told ABC Action News. 'And it went from the grass being brown to there's a dent in my garage.' After the lawsuit was filed, Green said a judge gave her 30 days to tidy up her lawn and to correct the violations, or she would be jailed. 'I sold my van to comply. My mailbox was cleaned to comply. I bought seeds and watered my grass to comply," she told ABC Action News. Despite her attempts at resolving the issue, Green was later arrested after missing a next court date in August 2024, the outlet reported. 'I was supposed to receive documentation. Nothing was sent to my home. And I reached out to the courthouse several times to try to find out my court date," she said. Want to keep up with the latest crime coverage? On May 23, while picking up her 15-year-old daughter from cheerleading practice, Green was pulled over and arrested, according to ABC Action News. 'There was no bond. So I couldn't even go home to my family,' she told the outlet. 'I sat in there for seven days in the jailhouse like a criminal.' According to jail records seen by PEOPLE, Green faced two charges: contempt of court and failure to comply with court's order to show cause. Green was released from jail after her family presented evidence that she had cleaned up her yard to a different judge than the one who signed the arrest warrant, per ABC Action News. 'It makes me feel horrible. I work hard to buy this home for me and my kids in a better neighborhood and environment, and to be taken to jail and to be treated like that for brown grass at my own home ... that's horrible,' she said. The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office and The Trowbridge Company Inc. did not immediately respond to PEOPLE's request for comment on Saturday, Aug. 2. Read the original article on People

Man arrested after crashing vehicle into RCMP Quebec headquarters

Montreal police are investigating after they say a man deliberately crashed his vehicle into the the Royal Canadian Mounted Police divisional headquarters on Dorchester Boulevard, in Westmount, west of downtown. Montreal police spokesperson Jean-Pierre Brabant said a 911 call was made reporting a crash at the main entrance of the building around 9:25 a.m. The driver of the vehicle, a 44-year-old man, was arrested but taken to hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries suffered in the crash. Brabant said the driver was first seen approaching the building on foot, but eventually got into his vehicle and drove "slowly" but at a constant speed, into the entrance. Police believe the driver may have been suffering from mental health issues and said he was possibly in a state of crisis. While damage to the building was considerable with glass being shattered at the entrance, Brabant said that two RCMP officers who were inside at the time were not injured. Investigators will be questioning the driver as soon as his health allows.

Michigan Walmart stabbing witnesses sought by Grand Traverse County Sheriff's Office

The Grand Traverse County Sheriff's Office is seeking to speak with witnesses in the stabbing attack at a Michigan Walmart. The sheriff's office in a Facebook post on Friday said it's hoping to speak with anyone who witnessed any part of the incident, provided first aid or assistance to those who were wounded, or has video footage or relevant information that may help the investigation. "Your observations and actions may be critical in helping detectives piece together the full scope of the incident," the sheriff's office said. Anyone who was at the scene during the incident is asked to call the sheriff's office at 231-995-5012. Five men and six women, including one store employee, were wounded in the July 26 attack at the Traverse City Walmart. All were taken to the hospital. As of Saturday, four of those people are in good condition, two have been treated and transferred, and the other five were treated and released on Friday, Munson Health Care said. The northern Michigan-based organization has been providing care for the victims at its medical center in Traverse City. Bradford James Gille, 42, is accused of carrying out the attack. The Afton, Michigan, man is charged with one count of terrorism and 11 counts of assault with intent to murder, court records show. He has pleaded not guilty. The sheriff's office said Gille was taken into custody after multiple citizens, including one who was armed with a pistol, confronted him in the parking lot of the store and prevented him from harming other people. Michigan State Police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation are assisting in the investigation. Note: The above video first aired on July 30, 2025.
