The award was presented by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at a special ceremony held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.
The recognition was given for the exemplary implementation of the 'Seva Se Santushtikaran Abhiyan' a unique initiative aimed at timely resolution of public issues, saturation of govt welfare schemes, and promotion of women empowerment through community participation in Bahraich district.
The campaign also contributed significantly to the 'Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra' and the holistic development of the aspirational district of Bahraich, based on key performance indicators.
Following the award ceremony, the DM paid a courtesy visit to the CM, during which he praised the district administration's outstanding work and took a detailed briefing on the conceptualization and execution of the campaign.
Yogi also encouraged the administration to continue expanding the reach of both central and state govt welfare and development schemes to every village and citizen.

More than 20 lakh Assam farmers get ₹422 crore under PM-KISAN scheme
'More than 20 lakh farmers in Assam have received more than ₹422 crore under the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme,' officials said on Sunday (August 3, 2025.) PM-KISAN is one of the flagship schemes of the Central Government and is the world's largest direct benefit transfer (DBT) programme. With the aim of fulfilling the financial needs of farmers and enhancing the overall productivity of the agriculture sector, the Government of India launched this scheme on February 24, 2019 as a strategic initiative. Commenting on the scheme, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said, "Over the years, this scheme has played a key role in empowering our farmers and giving them a token of recognition from a thankful nation.
