On Friday, media reports indicated that lifestyle influencer, Valeria Márquez, was shot dead on Tuesday night during her live stream on TikTok.
The Jalisco State Prosecutor's Office confirmed in a statement that Márquez was shot by a male intruder at the salon, where she worked in Zapopan, Mexico.
She was pronounced dead at the salon, the prosecutor's office added.
Prosecutors are investigating the incident as a suspected case of femicide (the killing of a woman or girl for gender-based reasons).
The police didn't reveal the identity of the suspect.
According to The Guardian, during the livestream, Márquez mentioned that someone came to the salon when she was not there to deliver an 'expensive gift' to her.
Márquez said she was not planning to wait for the person to return.
While seated at a table holding a stuffed animal toy, Márquez was heard saying, 'They're coming,' before a voice in the background asked: 'Hey, Vale?'
'Yes,' she replied, before muting the sound on the live stream. Seconds later, Márquez was shot.
Then a person, whose face was briefly seen on the live stream, ended the stream, The Guardian added.

Egypt to toughen truck safety rules following fatal Ring Road accident
Egypt's Prime Minister has announced a series of measures, including financial support for victims' families and new road safety regulations, following a crash on the Regional Ring Road that killed 19 people. The crash occurred early on Friday when a speeding heavy truck collided with a microbus carrying female workers from the village of Kafr El-Sanabsa. All 18 females onboard and the microbus driver were killed, while three others sustained injuries. The victims, described in state media as 'martyrs of livelihood,' were en route to their jobs when the collision occurred. The force of the impact destroyed both vehicles. Emergency responders transferred the bodies and the injured to hospitals in Quesna, El-Bagour, Ashmoun, and Shebin El-Kom. In response, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly followed up on directives issued by President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi concerning compensation, road maintenance, and safety procedures. The measures include direct support for the families of the 19 victims. Madbouly directed the Ministers of Education and Higher Education to grant a full exemption from all tuition fees for the bereaved families. He also instructed the Minister of Social Solidarity to disburse a special pension. To honour the victims, the Governor of Monufia was tasked with naming government buildings and streets in their home village of Kafr al-Sanabsa after the 19 deceased. The government also introduced new regulations aimed at preventing similar incidents. Madbouly ordered the mandatory separation of private passenger cars and commercial trucks in areas undergoing maintenance and development. He also called for an increase in traffic patrols, speed radars, and surveillance cameras to ensure compliance with traffic regulations and to penalise violators. Furthermore, the prime minister instructed authorities to implement regular, frequent, and unannounced drug testing for all truck drivers, particularly on highways. Legal action will be taken against those who test positive, and the government will study the possibility of imposing harsher penalties for such offences. The prime minister said officials must complete all repairs and maintenance on the Regional Ring Road according to a strict schedule, with full adherence to safety protocols. Dr. Madbouly stated that words of condolence and sympathy are insufficient to express the gravity of the tragedy. He added that he and the entire Cabinet deeply regret the accident, which has pained all Egyptians, stating, 'This loss is a loss we all share.'

Get to Know 2025 WWE Night of Champions in KSA Results
Rana Atef WWE Night of Champions 2025 delivered an unforgettable evening of action, drama, and monumental shifts in the company's landscape. Held in Riyadh, the event showcased six high-stakes matches, headlined by the finals of the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments, a brutal Street Fight, a U.S. title clash, and a chaotic main event for the Undisputed WWE Championship. In one of the night's most emotional and hard-fought encounters, Cody Rhodes defeated his longtime rival Randy Orton to become the 2025 King of the Ring. The match was a strategic war, with both men digging deep into their arsenals. Orton landed a punishing RKO midway through the contest, but Rhodes recovered and delivered multiple Cross Rhodes to claim the crown. With this victory, Cody earns a guaranteed shot at a world championship at SummerSlam, continuing his march toward fulfilling his legacy. The Queen of the Ring final saw Jade Cargill overcome former champion Asuka in a hard-hitting affair. Jade's power and presence were on full display as she countered Asuka's technical mastery and fierce strikes. After surviving a flurry of submissions, Cargill executed her signature "Jaded" to secure the win and her first major accolade on the main roster. She now heads into SummerSlam as a top contender in the women's division. The night also featured a brutal Street Fight between Rhea Ripley and Raquel Rodriguez. With no disqualifications and plenty of weapons involved, the two women tore into each other with unrelenting aggression. The match reached its violent peak when Ripley delivered an Avalanche Riptide through a table, silencing Rodriguez for the three-count. Rhea continues to cement her status as one of WWE's most dominant forces. In a classic clash of speed versus strength, Sami Zayn managed to defeat Karrion Kross in a match that showcased Sami's resilience. Despite being manhandled for much of the bout and surviving the dreaded Krossjacket, Zayn found his moment late in the match to connect with a Helluva Kick for the win—reminding fans why he remains one of WWE's most beloved underdogs. Another title changed hands when Solo Sikoa shocked the WWE Universe by defeating Jacob Fatu to win the United States Championship. The match was chaotic, with interference from Tonga Loa, the debuting Tala Tonga, and JC Mateo playing a major role. Solo capitalized on the distraction to land a devastating Samoan Spike and claim his first singles title, setting up a new chapter in the evolving Bloodline saga. The main event saw John Cena retain his Undisputed WWE Championship against a determined CM Punk. What started as a classic one-on-one contest quickly unraveled into mayhem, as Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, and even Paul Heyman became involved. Amidst the chaos, Cena shocked the audience by using Punk's own move—the Curb Stomp—to secure the victory and close out the show in dramatic fashion. Night of Champions 2025 left fans buzzing with excitement and speculation. With Cody Rhodes and Jade Cargill now crowned royal winners and Solo Sikoa emerging as a new champion, WWE's landscape is rapidly changing. As tensions rise and SummerSlam looms, the fallout from Riyadh promises to shape the company's direction for months to come. read more Japan Stun Spain 2-1 to Qualify for World Cup Last 16 World Cup 2022: Get to Know Confirmed Line-ups of Japan and Spain Group E Decider Saudi Arabia Bid Farewell to World Cup after 2-1 Loss to Mexico Tunisia Achieve Historic Win over France but Fail to Qualify Tunisia to Clash against France in World Cup Sports Get to Know Squad of Group D Teams in World Cup Sports Al Ahly Gift EGP 70,000 to Players After Claiming Egyptian Super Cup Title Sports Bencharki Hits First 2 Goals with Al Jazira Since Leaving Zamalek Sports Arsenal Possible Line-up for Nottingham Forest News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Business Fear & Greed Index Plummets to Lowest Level Ever Recorded amid Global Trade War Arts & Culture Zahi Hawass: Claims of Columns Beneath the Pyramid of Khafre Are Lies News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks Videos & Features Video: Trending Lifestyle TikToker Valeria Márquez Shot Dead during Live Stream News Shell Unveils Cost-Cutting, LNG Growth Plan Technology 50-Year Soviet Spacecraft 'Kosmos 482' Crashes into Indian Ocean

Bronnikov Stunned by Youthful Enthusiasm at Sheikh Imam's 30th Anniversary Celebration
Pasant Elzaitony Denis Bronnikov, the Deputy Director of the Russian Cultural Center in Cairo, expressed his amazement at the overwhelming turnout of youth at the celebration of Sheikh Imam, marking the 30th anniversary of his passing. He noted that the crowd stretched for dozens of meters along Tahrir Street, extending all the way to the entrance of the Russian Cultural Center. Bronnikov pointed out that most of the attendees were in their twenties. He added that the Tchaikovsky Theatre was fully packed, describing it as a phenomenon worthy of contemplation. The celebration, organized by the Sheikh Imam Society for Arts and Literature in collaboration with the Russian Cultural Center in Cairo, saw a large turnout that included a number of renowned poets and artists. The distinguished poet Zayn El-Abidin Fouad was present, along with other contemporary poets such as Mahmoud El-Taweel, Mohamed Seif, Farghali Mahran, and Sayed Enaba, who recited poems reflecting the rich poetic heritage of Sheikh Imam. Meanwhile, several individuals were honored for their contributions to preserving the legacy of Sheikh Imam. As the evening unfolded, the connection between Sheikh Imam's music and political activism became even clearer. Bronnikov also highlighted that Sheikh Imam's songs reached beyond Egypt's borders, having been introduced to Russian audiences since 1985, when he performed at the World Youth Forum in Moscow. The Russian Cultural Center has maintained this cultural exchange, showcasing the universal themes in Imam's music that resonate with youth all over the world. Sherif Gad, a key figure at the event, reflected on the enduring impact of the late musician. 'Sheikh Imam is still alive in the hearts of Egyptians,' he said. 'He was the blind singer who illuminated the hearts of the poor and the revolutionaries. He sang for workers, farmers, and for Palestine, and his songs remain a guiding light for those fighting for justice.' The celebration, which also included a poignant memorial for late poets such as Naguib Sorour and Ahmed Fouad Negm, reinforced the idea that Sheikh Imam's artistic and political influence continues to shape the cultural landscape of Egypt. It also highlighted the continued role of music in shaping social and political movements, especially among the youth. read more 2 Most Inspirational Green Projects in Egypt AEW Dynamite, WWE NXT to Strive over Viewership Tonight Egypt Marks 70th Anniv. of 2011 Revolution, National Police Day In Depth: WWE NXT Halloween Havoc In Depth: AEW Dynamite, WWE NXT Tuesday Viewership Strive Videos & Features WATCH: Egyptians Break Ramadan Fasts in Matariya Videos & Features GrEEk Campus Hosts Jobzella Fifth Career Fair Videos & Features 3 Iconic Ramadan Songs of All Times Videos & Features Top 4 Destinations to Visit in Upper Egypt News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Business Fear & Greed Index Plummets to Lowest Level Ever Recorded amid Global Trade War Arts & Culture Zahi Hawass: Claims of Columns Beneath the Pyramid of Khafre Are Lies News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks Videos & Features Video: Trending Lifestyle TikToker Valeria Márquez Shot Dead during Live Stream News Shell Unveils Cost-Cutting, LNG Growth Plan Technology 50-Year Soviet Spacecraft 'Kosmos 482' Crashes into Indian Ocean
