Love Island USA crowns Amaya and Bryan season 7 winners, taking home $100K prize
The couple earned the most fan votes, outshining finalists Nic Vansteenberghe and Olandria Carthen, who placed second.
Season 7 was one of the franchise's most dramatic and most-watched seasons yet, filled with recouplings, bombshell exits, and surprise twists. Iris Kendall and Pepe Garcia-Gonzalez, along with Huda Mustafa and Chris Seeley, were also finalists.
The network also confirmed that the season's reunion special will stream on August 25, hosted by Ariana Madix and Bravo's Andy Cohen. Fans can expect appearances from season 7's most talked-about islanders, including its winners and eliminated contestants.
Launched in June, this season introduced 10 new islanders and featured high-stakes exits, including Yulissa Escobar and Cierra Ortega, both removed early due to resurfaced controversies. The evolving dynamic between Nic and Olandria (a fan-favorite duo dubbed "Nicolandria") added to the season's momentum, while Casa Amor brought additional shakeups.
Peacock reported that season 7 ranked as its #1 streaming reality title for five straight weeks, with over 40% of its audience being new viewers. It also marked Peacock's biggest mobile viewership for any entertainment series to date.
Following the success, Madix is returning to host Love Island Games season 2, premiering September 16. Meanwhile, season 6 favorites Serena Page and Kordell Beckham will return in the upcoming spinoff Love Island: Beyond the Villa.
All episodes from seasons 4 through 7 of Love Island USA are now streaming on Peacock.

Jax Taylor steps away from ‘The Valley' season 3
Jax Taylor has confirmed that he will not return for Season 3 of The Valley, citing his need to focus on his recovery and mental health. In a statement shared with Variety, Taylor explained that after a challenging year and numerous conversations with his team and the show's producers, he had made the decision to step away from the Bravo series. 'I'll be stepping away from the next season of 'The Valley.' Right now, my focus needs to be on my sobriety, my mental health, and coparenting relationship,' Taylor shared. He added that taking this time was necessary for him to improve and become a better version of himself, particularly for the sake of his son, Cruz. Taylor, who recently turned 46, had been open about his battle with addiction, revealing in March that he had struggled with cocaine use for over two decades. His decision to step back from the show may also be seen as a way to avoid possible termination and leave room for a potential return in future seasons. The decision comes after a tumultuous Season 2 of The Valley, which aired its finale on July 22, followed by reunion episodes. Taylor's violent outburst in July 2024, in which he injured his estranged wife, Brittany Cartwright, and had a confrontation with production, was a key storyline of the season. Cartwright, who had separated from Taylor earlier that year, reported the incident, prompting Taylor to seek treatment at a mental health facility. Despite his time in the facility, Taylor's behavior continued to raise concerns, including aggressive text messages to Cartwright and an obsessive attitude toward her. Bravo's fanbase, already vocal about their discomfort with Taylor's behavior, has called for his permanent removal from the show. This sentiment was amplified on social media, with some viewers accusing Bravo of tolerating toxic behavior for the sake of ratings. In addition to his struggles on The Valley, Taylor's past behavior also led to his ousting from Vanderpump Rules after Season 8. Despite this, Taylor, along with Cartwright and other former Vanderpump Rules cast members, returned in 2023 to contribute to the popular Scandoval narrative. However, unlike others, Taylor did not appear to show remorse for his past actions, further alienating fans. As The Valley continues into its second season, Taylor's absence has been felt, and some cast members have suggested that the show has been fine without him. The Valley producer Alex Baskin previously stated that Taylor's recovery was a personal decision, and the future of his involvement with Bravo remains uncertain.

Nic Vansteenberghe speaks on Cierra Ortega's exit
In a July 15 interview on Chicks in the Office, Love Island USA Season 7 alum Nic Vansteenberghe addressed former partner Cierra Ortega's departure from the show following resurfaced social media posts that included a racial slur. Ortega exited the villa during the July 6 episode. At the time, her removal was described on air as related to a 'personal situation.' Vansteenberghe explained that he was not informed of the actual reason for her departure while still in the villa. 'It was a completely normal day,' he said. 'She just left.' He added that producers provided only a 'very vague' explanation, citing a 'personal reason' and offering no further details. Vansteenberghe, 24, said he had a 'really close' relationship with Ortega and was considering leaving the show alongside her. Ultimately, he chose to remain. 'If whatever is happening in the outside world is something I don't align with, then that could be perceived as me supporting that,' he said. After filming concluded, Vansteenberghe learned about the resurfaced content and said he was now able to 'have a better perception' of the situation based on his values. In response to criticism that he moved on quickly with contestant Olandria Carthen, Vansteenberghe clarified that their connection formed gradually. 'It took a lot of time and conversation,' he said. 'We both felt lost and confused together.' Ortega issued a public video statement on July 9 acknowledging the slur and stating she was unaware of its offensive nature at the time. She said she agreed with the network's decision to remove her from the show and accepted responsibility.
