Mumbais Rhythm Mamania wins roller skating gold in South Korea
Mumbai, Jul 26 (PTI) Mumbai's 13-year-old Rhythm Mamania has won the gold medal in solo free dance event at the Asian Roller Skating Championship in South Korea.
The 20th edition of the competition is being held at the Jecheon City in South Korea in which the six-time national winner brought laurels, a release said.
Rhythm had won an international gold medal at the Taiwan Artistic Rollerskating Open competition earlier this year.
She has been skating since the age of four and at the age of seven, Rhythm now aims to participate in the Pacific Cup in Brisbane. PTI DDV SSC SSC

(PIC - X) Former India captain Sourav Ganguly on Sunday said he has no issues with India being placed in the same group as Pakistan in the upcoming Asia Cup, asserting that while terrorism must end, sport must continue. As per the schedule, arch-rivals India and Pakistan are clubbed in Group A and are set to face off at the Dubai International Stadium on September 14. 'I'm okay with the schedule. India will begin their campaign against UAE on September 10 and are expected to play all their matches in Dubai. India and Pakistan could also meet again in the Super Four stage on September 21. Group A comprises India, Pakistan, UAE and Oman, while Group B includes Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Hong Kong. The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) will allow 17-member squads for the 19-match tournament, with matches scheduled in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. While the BCCI is the official host, the tournament is being held in the UAE as India and Pakistan have agreed to play only at neutral venues till 2027 due to ongoing cross-border tensions. The two countries had come close to the brink of war following the Pahalgam attack, to which India responded with Operation Sindoor.

Stokes didnt need to bowl Brook and look silly in the end: Nasser Hussain
Manchester, Jul 27 (PTI) Former England captain Nasser Hussain termed Ben Stokes' decision to bring Harry Brook into the attack after India declined his offer to end the fourth Test early as 'silly", stating that Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar fully deserved their centuries. Jadeja and Washington were batting on 89 and 80 respectively before the start of the last hour of play when England skipper Ben Stokes, aware that a result was out of reach, offered to shake hands. However, with milestones around the corner, the Indian batters refused, which didn't amuse Stokes, who then introduced Brook into the attack to bowl some deliberate full-tosses, allowing both to complete their well-deserved tons. 'I didn't have a problem with it. England seemed to have a problem with it. They were a bit tired, tired bowlers so they wanted to get off but two lads worked hard to get to 80s and 90s and they wanted to get Test match hundreds," Hussain said on 'Sky Sports'. 'Stokes didn't have to bowl Brook and look silly at the end. We make far too much of these things. They played well and all credit to India," Hussain said. When Cheteshwar Pujara asked the same question to Washington Sundar, he sidestepped the issue. 'I think everyone saw on TV what happened and they all must have enjoyed it," Washington said on JioHotstar. Former India batter Sanjay Manjrekar felt that Indian batters were well within their rights to continue unless there was an agreement prior that match will be called off before start of last hour of play.
