Reddy said that after receiving information about the blast, the Prime Minister's Office immediately responded by coordinating with the Home Ministry and ordering the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) to extend all necessary assistance.
'... The PM's office immediately spoke with the Home Ministry and ordered the National Disaster Relief Force (NDRF) to extend whatever help it needs... There are many such factories in the city of Hyderabad related to pharma and other industries of different sectors... For such industries, a high-level committee should be formed where various teams should visit. There should be no such accident in the future, and measures should be taken for relief to prevent accidents,' Reddy told ANI.
Telangana BJP President N Ramchander Rao called the incident 'very serious' and demanded a thorough investigation into the cause.
'This is a very serious and gruesome factory accident. Such incidents must not be repeated. The BJP demands that the Inspector of Factories and other responsible departments conduct inspections of all industries in the area. There must be a full inquiry to determine whether the negligence was on the part of the management, the factory inspector, or the inspector of boilers,' Rao said.
The death toll in the Sigachi Pharma explosion rose to 34, with over a dozen workers injured in the incident that occurred on Monday in the Pasamailaram Phase 1 area of Sangareddy district.
Earlier, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader K Kavitha visited a hospital in Patancheru on Tuesday and met with some of the injured victims.
She alleged that the explosion happened due to negligence by the state government and demanded compensation of Rs 1 crore for the families of the deceased.(ANI)

ED arrests Bobby Patel, gets 4-day remand in money laundering, human trafficking case
The Ahmedabad Zonal Office of Enforcement Directorate (ED) has arrested human trafficker Bharatkumar Rambhai Patel alias Bobby Patel, said a statement on Thursday. Bobby Patel, who has cases against him in Gujarat, West Bengal and Delhi for illegally sending Indian nationals abroad, was arrested by the ED under the provisions of Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). Patel was produced before the Special Judge (PMLA), Mirzapura Court, Ahmedabad, which remanded him to ED custody for four days custody, the agency said in the statement. The ED said that it had initiated its investigation against Patel and others based on an FIR registered for illegally sending Indian citizens abroad since 2015 by Sola High Court Police Station in Ahmedabad City. The ED said that its probe allegedly revealed that Patel has been involved in sending 'desirous Indian nationals abroad illegally for exorbitant consideration on the basis of bogus or fabricated documents for getting visas of different countries with duplicate or bogus passports used as genuine by impersonating the passengers wrongly'. For this purpose, Patel and others, 'used to collect Rs 60 to Rs 75 lakh for one passenger, Rs 1 to 1.25 crore for a couple (husband and wife) and Rs 1.25 to 1.75 crore if children were also accompanying the passengers abroad'. In India, the ED said, multiple FIRs have been registered against Patel in Gujarat, Delhi and West Bengal. The 'Proceeds of Crime (POC) generated in this case are valued at Rs 7 crore (approx)', said the ED. Further investigation into the matter is under progress.

Kolkata: Indicating a growing frustration with Bengali-speaking migrant workers being illegally detained in Odisha as Bangladeshis, Bengal chief secretary Manoj Pant on Thursday wrote to his Odisha counterpart, Manoj Ahuja, to put an end to this "continuing harassment faced by people from West Bengal" in the neighbouring state. "Thousands of people from Odisha live and work peacefully in Bengal. Not once has Bengal govt treated them with even a fraction of the hostility that Odisha is showing now," he said. Pant, in his letter, wrote: "We are receiving disturbing reports of such individuals being detained without due legal process in regions around Paradip and across coastal districts such as Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Bhadrak, Malkangiri, Balasore and Cuttack. What is even more concerning is that even when these persons produce valid identity documents — including Aadhaar cards, ration cards, voter IDs, electricity bills and PDS documents — their claims are being dismissed. In many instances, they are being asked to produce ancestral land records dating back several generations, an unreasonable and unjustifiable demand for migrant workers." Pant also mentioned how, "alarmingly, there have also been instances where, despite verification reports from competent authorities in West Bengal confirming the identity and citizenship of the individuals, there has been no positive action or relief". "I appeal to you to take a humanitarian view of the matter and ensure that these individuals, who are Indian citizens, are not subjected to arbitrary detention or harassment based on linguistic or regional identity," he wrote. "It is deeply distressing to learn that many of them are being targeted solely because they speak Bengali — their mother tongue — and are being unjustly labelled as Bangladeshi infiltrators. This sweeping generalisation is not only unfair and discriminatory, but also deeply hurtful to citizens who have every right to dignity and protection under the law," Pant added. Married woman can't level ‘false promise of marriage' allegation: Kerala HC
Kochi: High court has stated that a married woman cannot claim that she was induced into sexual relations on the false promise of marriage. The bench of Justice Bechu Kurian Thomas made the observation while granting bail to an accused in a case where he allegedly sexually assaulted a married woman on the pretext of marriage, threatened to publish her photos and videos, and borrowed a total sum of Rs 2.5 lakh. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now Counsel for the petitioner/accused contended that the victim is a married woman and, therefore, there cannot be sexual intercourse based on a promise to marry. He further submitted that a reading of the FIR indicates that the case is primarily based on a financial claim and the allegation of rape on the promise of marriage has been raised only to compel the petitioner to yield to her unlawful demands. The petitioner was arrested on June 13 and has been in custody since. Upon perusal of the records and previous decisions of the court, the bench observed that it is prima facie doubtful whether the offence under Section 69 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) is attracted, as a promise to marry cannot arise when one of the parties is already in a subsisting marriage. Additionally, the offence under Section 84 BNS, pertaining to enticing, taking away, or detaining a married woman with the intent to have illicit intercourse, is bailable, and therefore, the continued detention of the petitioner is not warranted, the court noted. Further, the court granted him bail on execution of a bond for Rs 50,000 with two solvent sureties each for the like amount, to the satisfaction of the court having jurisdiction.
