Allison Williams Scored a ‘Round of Applause' During the Premiere of THAT ‘Girls' Scene
It's not fair to say that Allison Williams has regrets playing Marnie in 'Girls.' But she does have one scene she's nervous about her 'M3GAN' co-star, 14-year-old Violet McGraw, watching.
During Williams' latest appearance on 'Late Night,' Seth Meyers pointed out that McGraw is getting closer to an age 'where someone might say, Oh my god, do you know what show you would like? 'Girls.''
'To which I say, no,' Williams said as the studio audience laughed. 'How do I put this? Every time this thought experiment comes to mind, there is just one scene. If you know, you know.'
'Yep,' Meyers said immediately.
'That's just the one thing that flies into my head when I picture Violet seeing it,' Williams said.
If you're Violet McGraw, please stop reading. For everyone else, the scene in question happens in Season 4 of the HBO hit. The first episode of the season starts with Marnie getting her butt eaten by her musical partner and on-again, off-again romantic interest Desi, played by Ebon Moss-Bachrach, who is now known for his work on 'The Bear.' When the episode first premiered, it sparked waves of internet reactions as everything about 'Girls' did. But Williams has a distinct memory of how that scene was received.
'At the premiere of that season, I recall there being like a round of applause after that scene in the theater. I was just sitting with my family like 'Well,'' Williams said.
Both Williams and Meyers defended the scene as it does show there's more dimension to Marnie's relationship with Desi. But when it comes to her young 'M3GAN' co-star, Williams is hoping McGraw will stick to her appearances in 'Sesame Street' and 'A Series of Unfortunate Events.' Watch the full 'Late Night with Seth Meyers' interview below.

KING OF THE HILL Revival Is Bringing Alamo Beer to Real Life, and Yep... It's Real, I Tell You What — GeekTyrant
King of the Hill is officially returning to TV with a 10-episode revival dropping all at once on Hulu. But the comeback isn't just happening on screens, it's also making its way into your fridge. For the first time ever, fans will be able to crack open an actual Alamo Beer, just like Hank, Dale, Bill, and Boomhauer. San Antonio's Alamo Beer Co. has teamed up with Hulu to brew a real-world version of the show's fictional go-to beverage. The collaboration has been confirmed by brewery founder Eugene Simor, who shared: 'We're just trying to finalize when the actual date will be for release. It's real.' While there's no official date just yet, the plan is to have it out in time for the revival's August 4 release. The beer made its first appearance at a cast event back in May, but fans are still waiting for it to hit store shelves. The revival series is set years after the original finale, and a lot has changed, except for Hank Hill's love of beer. According to the show's new storyline, Hank, Peggy, and Bobby have spent time abroad in Saudi Arabia due to Hank's job, and they're now returning to an America that feels unfamiliar. While the country might be different, Hank remains the same propane-loving, beer-drinking dad we've always known. Showrunner Saladin K. Patterson recently spoke about Hank's worldview and how it's aged in today's social climate: 'Hank always represented the sensible middle, the old show did a great job handling the extremes and kind of pushing people towards what the common-sense middle was. Well, Hank's been gone, and while he's gone, the country's changed so much that where Hank stood in the middle isn't really the middle anymore.' The revival promises a mix of change and familiarity, with the Hill family dealing with the new world around them in their signature, quietly hilarious fashion. No word yet on where exactly you'll be able to pick up a six-pack of the official Alamo Beer, but if you've ever wanted to drink like Hank Hill, this is your moment.

Lalo Schifrin, 93, Dies; Composer of ‘Mission: Impossible' and Much More
Lalo Schifrin, the Grammy-winning Argentine-born composer who evoked the ticking, ominous suspense of espionage with his indelible theme to the television series 'Mission: Impossible' as well as scored movies like 'Cool Hand Luke,' 'Bullitt' and 'Dirty Harry,' died on Thursday in Los Angeles. He was 93. His wife, Donna, said the cause of his death, in a hospital, was complications of pneumonia. Mr. Schifrin had a startlingly diverse career as a composer, arranger and conductor in a wide range of genres — from classical to jazz to Latin to folk to rock to hip-hop to electronic to the ancient music of the Aztecs. He conducted symphony orchestras in London and Vienna, and philharmonic orchestras in Tel Aviv, Paris and Los Angeles. He arranged music for the Three Tenors. He provided what The Washington Post called the music of 'rebellious cool' for Paul Newman, Steve McQueen and Clint Eastwood. But the prolific Mr. Schifrin, who wrote more than 100 film and television scores, was best known for 'Mission: Impossible.' Interpretations of his propulsive theme have also been featured in the eight movies in the 'Mission: Impossible' series, starring Tom Cruise, which began in 1996. Like John Williams, whose many compositions for film include the theme from 'Jaws,' Mr. Schifrin was a master of creating jittery unease and peril. Both composers worked with a recognizable style and a distinct purpose. Want all of The Times? Subscribe.

WWE Night Of Champions 2025 Results As Rhea Ripley Topples Raquel Rodriguez
Rhea Ripley continues her long-running feud with The Judgment Day. (Credit: Rich Freeda/WWE via ... More Getty Images) WWE Night of Champions 2025 marked yet another big win for Rhea Ripley. Ripley, arguably the most protected star in WWE's women's division, nearly fell short in her Street Fight against The Judgment Day's Raquel Rodriguez thanks to some interference from Roxanne Perez. But the nearly unbeatable Ripley was able to overcome both Perez and Rodriguez with an avalanche Riptide for the ages. When WWE announced that Ripley vs. Rodriguez would be a Street Fight, that paved the way for a wonky finish that would allow Ripley to take the loss while still looking strong in defeat. Lo and behold, Ripley was still able to avoid a rare loss, instead beating Rodriguez in resounding fashion. WWE Night of Champions 2025 Results for Rhea Ripley vs. Raquel Rodriguez WWE's creative team had a chance to pull off a shocking loss for Ripley at WWE Night of Champions 2025, but Ripley emerged victorious, after all. Rodriguez was unable to capitalize on the outside interference from Perez in her attempt to give Ripley just her third pinfall defeat since May 2022. Instead, Ripley picked up a big win as she looks to regain the momentum she had in early 2025. There were several notable moments in the match, including: Ripley's seemingly never-ending feud with The Judgment Day has gone on for much of the past two years, with Ripley spending most of that time feuding with Liv Morgan. Morgan, however, recently suffered a devastating shoulder injury that has reportedly caused WWE to scrap a number of creative plans, including significant booking directions for the upcoming Evolution II event. WWE Night of Champions 2025 Results: What's Next For Rhea Ripley? Ripley's win at WWE Night of Champions won't necessarily serve as the end of her feud with The Judgment Day. With Morgan injured, Perez is reportedly set to replace Morgan as one half of the WWE Women's Tag Team Champions during Morgan's absence. Connecting the dots here, Perez is clearly trying to take over Morgan's spot as the commander-in-chief of Judgment Day. That's been going on for months now, and there have been both subtle and obvious signs that this isn't sitting well with Morgan. Prior to her injury, Morgan was reportedly set for a major babyface turn as she continues to soar in popularity thanks to her consistently great performances. Even though Ripley beat Rodriguez at Night of Champions 2025, WWE is clearly laying the groundwork for Morgan to return, form an unlikely alliance with her former rival Ripley and go after Perez, Rodriguez and Judgment Day. That's a potentially intriguing storyline that could get Morgan back to her face roots, unite Morgan and Ripley as a powerhouse duo and ultimately lead to the dismantling of The Judgment Day. Given Morgan's injury that will take some time, but Ripley's WWE Night of Champions win was likely just the start to something really big for Ripley, Morgan and everyone involved.
