T-Mobile users get new Starlink toggle as public rollout approaches
Everyone else, including AT&T and Verizon customers, will be charged a monthly fee. For T-Mobile customers on older plans, the service is going to cost $15 per month, though beta users get a discount of $5. AT&T and Verizon customers will be able to use T-Mobile 's satellite service for $10 a month. AT&T and Verizon have also launched their satellite feature but on a limited scale.

According to an image shared by a T-Mobile user, customers will be able to enable and disable the satellite feature easily. This means that you won't have to worry about paying for this add-on during the month when you might not need the feature. For instance, you may activate it when severe weather is expected or when you know you will be going to areas with weak or spotty signals. That's a smart move by T-Mobile , considering even though this can potentially be a life-saving feature, most users might not be able to justify paying it for every month when they know they are hardly going to use it. The outdoorsy types who frequently visit places with no cellular coverage can, of course, keep it on at all times.
Right now, only texting is supported and data support is expected this year. Voice capabilities will also be updated down the line.

T-Mobile had the best U.S. wireless network during the first half of 2025 says new report
T-Mobile had the best mobile network in the U.S. during the first half of 2025, according to the Speedtest Connectivity Report released by Ookla. Overall, the nation's second-largest wireless carrier delivered a median download speed of 245.48 Mbps. The wireless provider's median 5G download speed was 299.36 Mbps. T-Mobile 's Speedtest Connectivity Score of 79.95 topped Verizon 's 75.49 tally and AT&T 's 72.47. T-Mobile also had a top-ranked 5G Connectivity Score of 73.22. According to Ookla, the Speedtest Connectivity Score reliably measures a carrier's overall mobile network connected experience using a combination of scores based on speed, web browsing, and video streaming. It wasn't close when deciding which carrier was fastest in the U.S. during the first half of this year. With a score of 74.45, T-Mobile trounced Verizon (65.72) and AT&T (63.16). The order was the same for 5G speeds, with a leading 58.02 for T-Mobile , 52.57 for Verizon , and 44.36 for AT&T . T-Mobile was thisclose to Verizon at 76.38. AT&T 's streaming video score came in at 71.91. Verizon had a bigger lead over T-Mobile in 5G video streaming as the latter's 79.95 5G video streaming tally trailed Verizon 's leading 82.57 score by a larger margin. AT&T was third as its 5G video streaming score was 76.05. If Verizon is the network for those who love to stream videos, T-Mobile is the carrier for gamers, according to Ookla's numbers. The wireless provider had leading scores of 86.61 for gaming (and 87.31 for 5G gaming). Verizon and AT&T were 2nd and 3rd with scores of 84.10 (86.33 for 5G gaming) and 82.81 (83.71 for 5G gaming), respectively. A lot of consumers in the U.S. subscribe to Verizon because they believe that the carrier has superior coverage. The Speedtest numbers show that Americans have this one right, as Verizon 's Coverage Score was 29.9% with AT&T second at 24.9%. T-Mobile was third at 22.9%. U.S. consumers consider T-Mobile to be the best wireless carrier in the U.S. | Image credit-Ookla When you must have a 5G connection, the T-Mobile network is your best bet as the wireless provider had a leading 90.8% 5G Availability Score. This means that nearly 91% of the time they were connected to T-Mobile , subscribers had an active connection to a 5G signal. That occurred 87.5% of the time for AT&T subscribers, and only 54.2% of the time for Verizon customers. When ranking carrier consistency, Ookla measures the percentage of time each carrier met or exceeded 5 Mbps with its download speed and 1Mbps with its upload speed. T-Mobile met these thresholds 87.6% of the time (77.6% for 5G). Verizon was next with a score of 84.7% (75.8% 5G), followed by AT&T 's 80.9% (66.6% 5G). 15 years ago, if you asked the average wireless user in the U.S. to rank the top carriers, the results might have been in this order: Verizon , AT&T , Sprint, T-Mobile . We've often discussed T-Mobile 's amazing turnaround, and I feel honored to have chronicled one of the most incredible worst-to-first stories that the business world has ever seen. The latest Consumer Sentiment scores have T-Mobile with a leading 3.78 out of 5 reading. Verizon placed second with a 3.40 score, and AT&T was third with a 3.12 tally. The fastest region in the U.S. was the District of Columbia, with a median mobile download speed of 200.29 Mbps. T-Mobile was the fastest carrier in that region. Among the U.S. cities with the largest populations, San Antonio had the fastest median mobile download speed at 249.15 Mbps. T-Mobile was the fastest carrier in that city. The carrier with the largest number of trophies received was T-Mobile . The Pixel 10 Pro Fold might be getting only the best Pro colors
After we saw leaked renders of the Pixel 10 and then the Pixel 10 Pro, it's now time to take a close look at the colors of the Pixel 10 Pro Fold. If there's a slight surprise about this leak, it is that Google may opt only for the two slightly more interesting colors of the Pro models. A new set of renders leaked by Android Headlines all but confirms the previous rumors that the Pixel 10 Pro Fold will be available in the following two colors: That would continue Google's tradition of limiting the colors of its most expensive smartphone to only a couple of options, as it did with the Pixel 9 Pro Fold last year. That foldable was only available in Obsidian and Porcelain, which are the names Google uses for the black and white versions of its phones. This year, the company may be skipping basic colors altogether. That would be true only if we assume the slight blue tint on the otherwise gray Moonstone version makes it bold. Just like with the Pixel 10 Pro , the Jade version appears to combine a nice green color with gold accents, which is relatively exciting. The newly leaked renders follow the recent leaks of the Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro colors. The vanilla Pixel 10 is rumored to have Obsidian, Indigo, Frost, and Limoncello as its color options, which appeared much bolder in the renders. The Pixel 10 Pro , on the other hand, is expected to arrive in Obsidian, Porcelain, Moonstone, and Jade. A caveat in the color options could be that Google might limit some storage options to specific colors. In the case of the Pixel 10 Pro Fold , that means the 1TB version might be only available in the Moonstone color. Those renders are very likely to be real, which would mean that Google is once again forcing everyone who wants a premium phone to choose from rather dull colors. While I hope that's not the case, we'll need to wait until the Made for Google event on August 20. That's when Google is expected to announce the Pixel 10 , Pixel 10 Pro , Pixel 10 Pro XL, Pixel 10 Pro Fold , and the Pixel Watch 4. That's the lineup with which the company hopes to challenge the brand-new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, the Galaxy S25, and the upcoming iPhone 17.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 vs Pixel 9 Pro Fold: Sample Photos Comparison
Which phone has the better camera — the new Galaxy Fold 7 or the Pixel 9 Pro Fold? Let's kick off this camera comparison starts with a look at the camera specs on both phones. $1120 off (53%) Pre-order the Galaxy Z Fold 7 at Samsung and grab a free storage upgrade on the 512GB model. On top of that, you can save an extra up to $1,000 with eligible device trade-ins. Alternatively, you can pre-order the phone with a $300 Samsung credit that must be used before completing your purchase. Pre-order at Samsung The big upgrade for the Fold 7 is clearly the new 200MP main camera, the same one that Samsung uses on the Galaxy S25 Ultra. With a larger sensor than before, the Galaxy has a theoretical advantage over the Pixel 9 Pro Fold main camera. The ultra-wide cameras on both phones are comparable: a 12MP one on the Galaxy and an 11MP one on the Pixel, with a similar field of view. For telephoto, the Galaxy goes with a 3X zoom camera, while the Pixel opts for a 5X zoom camera. This one is personal preference: 3X is better for portraits, while 5X is good for far-away objects and events like concerts. Our gut feel is that the 3X one is more practical, but this is up to everyone to decide for themselves. But camera specs are only numbers and what really matters is the image quality, so let's take a look at the sample photos. What are the main differences you see? And do you prefer the camera on the Galaxy Z Fold 7 or the one on the Pixel 9 Pro Fold ?
