Why are fans frustrated with the CODToons event in Call of Duty Black Ops 6 and Warzone?
Call of Duty Black Ops 6 and Warzone players are on a roller coaster ride with the arrival of Season 4 Reloaded. With brand new maps like Eclipse Strike, reimagined Fringe, new LTMs like Party Ops, Starting Room, and many more, this mid-season refresh has everything for everyone.
There is no shortage of events as well, with the likes of Beavis & Butt-Head, King of the Dead, Master of Grief, and many more. But out of nowhere, the CODToons event is stirring serious controversy among the fans.
What is the issue with the CODToons event in Call of Duty Black Ops 6 and Warzone
Call of Duty has recently launched the CODToons event in Black Ops 6 and Warzone on July 17, 2025. Unlike the other events in Season 4, the CODToons event is a bit more special towards the fans because all the rewards from this event can be earned without spending a single penny.
In order
to get rewards out of the CODToons event
, players need to complete a set of challenges. However, things didn't go as it was supposed to as this event has posed a grave matter of concern.
It has been reported that many players started facing serious issues after the CODToons event dropped in the game. The majority of the complaints came from the PC and console users who couldn't log into the game and eventually got stuck indefinitely in a
'Connecting to Online Services'
loop.

The matter went out of the hands and eventually the developers had to acknowledge the issue online.
But since then, there has been no plausible solution implemented by Treyarch. Fans even tried general measures to fix this issue as well which comes in handy in such situations, like reinstalling the game, verifying file integrity, resetting their routers, and many more, but nothing worked.
The CODToons event was actually one of a kind as it was completely out of any paywall. Fans were eagerly waiting for this event to give it their all to get rewards like Calling Cards, Weapon Charms, Sprays, and even Loading Screens. Instead, they got a common Loading Screen which has never ever loaded since then.
We really hope the developers of Call of Duty bring a proper fix to this issue because they don't have much time in their hands as the CODToons event in Call of Duty Black Ops 6 and Warzone will be available until August 7, 2025.
