New Castle County Police investigating indecent exposure incident in park near Newark
New Castle County police are looking for a suspect in a June 27 indecent exposure incident near Newark.
Police responded to Brookside Park, in the 100 block of Old Newark Road, around 2:15 p.m. and spoke with a 12-year-old victim and his parents.
The child said he saw a white male suspect standing near the footbridge that leads to Carlisle Road and Cameron Lane, a police news release said, "watching him before exposing himself."
Police checked the surrounding area but could not locate the suspect, whom the child described as approximately 40 - 45 years old and about 6 feet tall with an average build, police said. He was last seen wearing a gray t-shirt, black shorts and a red baseball cap with black stitching. The suspect may also have a red bicycle, according to police.

Man charged with ramming MS officer must serve sentence in previous case
SOUTHAVEN, Miss. — The man accused of trying to run a Southaven, Mississippi, officer over in a stolen car will serve a five-year sentence after he violated his post-release supervision in another case, according to the DeSoto County District Attorney's Office. Coleman, 20, was charged with aggravated assault on a police officer, conspiracy to commit a crime, disorderly conduct, suspended driver's license, fleeing/eluding an officer in a motor vehicle, two counts of possession of paraphernalia, receiving stolen property, resisting arrest, and violation of probation. The attorney's office said that in December 2024, he pleaded guilty to receiving stolen property and was sentenced to five years of post-release supervision, but because of the alleged incident on June 13, those five years have been revoked. They said Coleman will be remanded to the Mississippi Department of Corrections to serve the full sentence. The attorney's office said Coleman's new charges are still pending indictment, and they are working with law enforcement to pursue those to the fullest extent of the law. DA wants life without parole for man accused of stabbing wife, vacuuming blood
MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Shelby County District Attorney's Office filed for life without parole for a man accused of stabbing his wife and cleaning her blood with a vacuum and a household cleaner in 2021. Robert Washington was charged with first-degree murder, and he is being held without bond. The district attorney's office filed Life Without Parole for Washington on Thursday. In October 2021, police said that Robert Washington and his wife, Trenecia Brown, were arguing in their apartment near Jefferson and Danny Thomas. Police said that they found a woman inside the apartment living room, sitting on a loveseat, covered in blood and unresponsive. ORIGINAL: Police say man stabbed wife, tried to vacuum blood According to police, they observed blood throughout the apartment as well as Brown having multiple cuts and stab wounds. Memphis Fire said they pronounced her dead on the scene, as she was unable to survive her said that investigators noted Brown to have sharp force trauma to both the front and back of her torso as well as trauma to her right arm. According to police, Washington was taken to 170 N. Main for questioning, and he waived his Miranda rights. He reportedly told police that he stabbed Brown in the course of arguing with her. It's unclear what sparked the argument. Investigators said that Washington told them he tried to clean the blood in the apartment with a vacuum and Fabuloso cleaner.
