Revealed – Why Inter Milan Could Prefer To Sign Parma Star Over Genoa & Denmark Midfielder
This according to today's print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews.
Inter Milan are reportedly looking to make changes in midfield.
The Nerazzurri are aiming to switch from a 3-5-2 formation to a 3-4-2-1 system under Cristian Chivu.
Therefore, the duties of the central midfielders will change.
Above all, the midfield roles will become more defensive. With an extra forward or attacking midfielders on the pitch, the midfielders must cover a lot of ground and support the attack.
Therefore, Tuttosport confirm recent reports that Inter want to sign a more defensively-minded central midfielder.
Why Inter Could Prefer Mandela Keita Over Morten Frendrup

One name that has popped up on Inter's radar is that of Genoa midfielder Morten Frendrup.
The Danish international would certainly offer a strong defensive presence in midfield.
However, Tuttosport report, Inter consider Frendrup's profile to be too similar to that of Nicolo Barella.
On the other hand, the newspaper anticipate, the Nerazzurri have shown an interest in Mandela Keita. The Belgian is a player who worked effectively with Cristian Chivu at Parma.

Jesurun Rak Sakyi to Rangers faces major hurdle as Crystal Palace change transfer rules
In-demand Jesurun Rak-Sakyi appears to have had the door slammed shut on a move to Rangers by Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner. The Scottish Premiership side are keen to sign the England youth international on an initial loan with a £10million option to buy. Rangers have already seen their bid to land the wide man thrown into doubt after the 22-year-old limped off during Palace's friendly clash with Crawley Town. He told Austrian newspaper Kronen Zeitung: 'Even though all the players are still here, we haven't made the most of the transfer window so far. "I was promised that we would be more active and bring in the new players earlier this year. 'As of now, I have 17 outfield players. I hope we don't lose any more. "If that happens and we get four new ones on deadline day like last year, another false start is possible.' The latest set-back in the pursuit Rak-Sakyi comes after Rangers boss Russell Martin admitted he's a player both he and the club's decision makers are keen to land. Martin, speaking to Sky Sports News last week, said: "He's a player I like. We tried to take him to Southampton, it didn't quite happen. I like him and the recruitment staff like him, but how far that's gone... I'm not too sure. "He's a really good player. We look at all sorts of different profiles that we think can help the team, it doesn't necessarily have to be one type of profile. Players are very different. "We just need the ones with the right mentality who are desperate to come and play here. We'll see where we end up in four weeks' time." Since then, alternative deals for wingers have emerged with Tottenham's teenage star Mikey Moore set to join the Glasgow giants on loan. Go Ahead Eagles' star Oliver Antman is also a target - but Celtic's pursuit of teammate Jakob Breum could scupper any deal. Celtic have three surging transfer priorities as Michel Ange Balikwisha makes intentions clear
Celtic are refusing to give up on their long-running pursuit of Michel Ange Balikwisha. The Hoops have identified the Royal Antwerp winger as one of their top targets this summer as Brendan Rodgers desperately seeks to add more firepower to his frontline. Celts are down to the bare bones in terms of wide options following Nicolas Kuhn's £17million exit to Como and Jota sidelined until 2026. READ MORE: The Brendan Rodgers Celtic joke to send shivers up fans' spines as Como stuns while battering the wallet READ MORE: Predicted Celtic XI for Ajax as Kieran Tierney builds himself up for Champions League D Day Balikwisha, 24, has been on the radar for a while and the Parkhead club were ready to move for him in January before he suffered his last injury. The lightning-quick Belgian is out of contract next summer and Celtic hope to land him for a cut-price deal. Cash-strapped Royal Antwerp are open to selling their star man rather than risk losing him for nothing at the end of this season. But sporting director Marc Overmars is reluctant to budge on the £5m price tag, with Celts keen to meet somewhere in between. The player's representative Jibril Rekkab claimed that there hasn't been contact between both clubs but Record Sport understands discussions have taken place. It's believed Antwerp know that Balikwisha wants to move to Scotland but are playing hardball as they look to get the best fee they can as his contract runs down. Meanwhile, there were reports that Go Ahead Eagles had turned down Celtic's £1.5m bid for talented winger Jakob Breum. However, Danish sources have dismissed that and claimed the Hoops' interest hasn't been renewed. As well as a new winger, the Scottish champions are also in the market for a main striker, while another midfielder remains a top priority.
