Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet take the next step in their relationship

News.com.au16 hours ago
Kylie Jenner brought her relationship with Timothée Chalamet to the next level after more than two years together.
The Kylie Cosmetics founder now follows Chalamet's Instagram account, Page Six can confirm.
Chalamet is just one of the 119 accounts Jenner follows on the social media app.
The Dune star noticeably did not follow her back — though he doesn't follow any accounts on his official page.
While it's unclear when exactly she pressed the follow button on his page, fans on X were buzzing about the exciting milestone Tuesday.
The Marty Supreme star already has 19.7 million followers on Instagram. While that number may sound gargantuan, it doesn't stack up to Jenner's follower count of 393 million.
The couple have been taking things relatively slow over the course of their relationship.
They were first romantically linked in April 2023 after Jenner's Range Rover was spotted parked in Chalamet's driveway.
The Khy founder, 27, and Chalamet, 29, didn't hold back days later when they locked lips at the US Open.
Since then, they have sporadically been spotted out and about together and Jenner was by his side at several of his award show season events including the Golden Globes in January and the Oscars in March.
While she supported the actor inside the film events, it wasn't until this past May that they made their red carpet debut as a couple.
The duo sweetly posed for photographers in front of the step-and-repeat at the David di Donatello Awards in Rome — where the Call Me By Your Name star received the David for Cinematic Excellence honorary award.
Despite being quite serious at this point, Chalamet was not Jenner's date to Jeff Bezos' $50 million wedding to Lauren Sánchez in Venice last week.
Instead, Kylie was seen with her sisters Kendall Jenner, Khloé Kardashian, Kim Kardashian, their mum Kris Jenner and Kris' longtime partner Corey Gamble.
Kylie also travelled to the Italian city with her two kids — Stormi, 7, and Aire, 3 — whom she shares with her ex-boyfriend Travis Scott.
Chalamet, for his part, previously dated Lourdes Leon, Lily-Rose Depp and Eiza González.

Charlize Theron, 49, makes wild sex confession about ‘f***ing amazing' hook-up with 26-year-old

Charlize Theron recently had a 'f***ing amazing' hook-up with a 26-year-old. The actress sat down with Alex Cooper for Wednesday's episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast, where she detailed her sex life. 'I just want to say this in perspective,' Theron, 49, prefaced. 'I've probably had three one-night stands in my entire life. But I did just recently f**k a 26-year-old and it was really f***ing amazing.' 'I've never done that,' she continued. 'And I was like, 'Oh, this is great. OK.'' The Atomic Blonde star revealed that she 'found this freedom' in her 40s that allowed her to have the sexual encounter, which was very rare for her. 'I don't have many of them, I'm sitting here sounding like I do,' she explained. 'So when I do, I'm like, 'Oh, f**k yeah. I should have done this in my 20s.'' The producer explained that prioritising her sex life is hard as a single mum. 'Who has f***ing time for dates and shaving and waxing and make-up? And I have two children who have to go to school.' Theron welcomed both her kids through adoption, bringing Jackson — whom she revealed was transgender in 2019 — into her life in 2012, followed by August in 2015. Theron told Cooper that when she does want a hook-up, she needs to schedule it accordingly. 'This sh*t's on a timer,' she joked. 'Do you need me to send you a call time? You got two hours. What's happening? 'Cause, like, I need to know.' Theron tends to keep the details of her love life private. She was most recently linked to model Alex Dimitrijevic in May 2023, though she never confirmed the romance herself. 'Charlize and Alex have been dating for a few months now,' a source told Us Weekly at the time, noting that the pair's relationship was 'still in the early stages' but that they 'really like[d] each other.' The pair reportedly broke up in November 2024. Before that, Theron was in a highly publicised relationship with Sean Penn in 2013. Multiple outlets reported that the pair had even secretly gotten engaged. After they broke up in 2015, however, the Bombshell star said she had no intention of ever marrying the actor. 'I did not 'almost get married to Sean,' that's such bullsh*t,' she told Howard Stern in 2020. 'No, we dated, that was literally all we did, we dated. It was a relationship, for sure. We were definitely exclusive, but it was for barely a year.' Prior to Penn, Theron dated actors Craig Bierko and Stuart Townsend, along with Third Eye Blind frontman Stephan Jenkins.

Drake relists luxe Beverly Hills mansion with $13m discount

Drake is trying to offload his Beverly Hills pad for a third time — two years after he first put the abode on the market with an asking price of $US88 million ($A134 million). The Grammy-winning rapper has now slashed $US9 million ($A13 million) from his original ask, offering the property up for $US79 million ($A121 million) in a desperate attempt to draw in a buyer, Realtor reports. Drake, whose real name is Aubrey Drake Graham, put the Tuscan-style estate back on the market on June 24 — three years after snapping it up for $US75 million ($A114 million) and months after he attempted to lease out the home for $US250,000 ($A382,000) a month. Though the rapper has seemingly decided that the home is not the 'Best I Ever Had,' the property — which was previously owned by British pop star Robbie Williams — will undoubtedly catch the eye of many with its impressive array of amenities, which include 10 bedrooms, and 13.5 bathrooms. Other highlights include a resort-style pool, a tennis court, a cooking patio, and sweeping views of the California skyline. The residence boasts a chic living area with space for multiple couches, a cozy fireplace, French doors, and large windows. Next to the living area is a lounge with a fireplace, wood-framed windows, and a built-in wooden shelf. 'This property defies description with over 25,000 square feet, seven bedrooms, 13 full baths and nine half baths, nine fireplaces, an elevator, garage and motor court to accommodate 15 cars, staff quarters offering three bedrooms and separate full kitchen,' the listing reads. Modern touches are present throughout the home, including in the library, dining room, and chef's kitchen. The latter is equipped with state-of-the-art appliances and two large marble islands. There is also a private gym, wine cellar, screening room, and game room on the grounds. 'Offering a perfect setting for an outdoor soiree, the grounds inspire the kind of serenity found in the world's most secluded villas w/ immaculate lawns & gardens, orchards, fountains, a mosaic-tiled swimming pool, outdoor pavilion, pool house with a kitchen & pizza oven, tennis court & pavilion, walking paths and a view to envy,' the listing adds. The listing comes just months after Drake's ongoing feud with rapper Kendrick Lamar reached its height. The battle began long ago when they competed for the title of world's best rapper, and soon devolved into a slew of diss tracks and legal woes. The artists were pals until 2013, when Lamar rapped about 'murdering' J. Cole, Meek Mill, Drake, Big K.R.I.T., Wale, Pusha T, ASAP Rocky, Tyler, the Creator, Mac Miller, Big Sean, and Jay Electronica's music. Drake responded to the diss track while speaking to Billboard. 'I didn't really have anything to say about it. It just sounded like an ambitious thought to me. That's all it was,' Drake told the outlet. 'I know good and well that [Lamar]'s not murdering me, at all, in any platform. So when that day presents itself, I guess we can revisit the topic.' Their public spat reached its peak in 2023 when Drake teamed up with J. Cole, prompting Lamar to release another hit slamming them. Drake then released two back-to-back diss tracks slamming Lamar, even using AI to mimic the voices of Tupac Shakur and Snoop Dogg. Shakur's estate then threatened to sue Drake, prompting him to remove the voices from the hit titled 'Taylor Made Freestyle.' Lamar hit back with a six-minute diss track teasing Drake's style and morals. Less than 24 hours later, he released another diss track, claiming that there was a mole inside Drake's team telling him news. The two continued to fire off at each other, with Lamar eventually accusing Drake of being a 'deadbeat' father. In 2024, Lamar released his hit 'Not Like Us,' rapping in the song, 'Say, Drake, I hear you like 'em young/ You better not ever go to cell block one/ To any b---- that talk to him and they in love/ Just make sure you hide your lil' sister from him.' Months later, Drake filed a motion against Universal Music Group, accusing the company of using bots to inflate Lamar's streams. The motion was later proved false. Drake then accused UMG of defamation, claiming that it could have declined to release the song in a motion filed in January 2025. Although Drake hit back, the damage was done as Lamar continued to figuratively dance on his grave as he performed 'Not Like Us' at the Super Bowl. Attorneys for UMG then hit back at Drake, noting, 'Plaintiff, one of the most successful recording artists of all time, lost a rap battle that he provoked and in which he willingly participated. Instead of accepting the loss like the unbothered rap artist he often claims to be, he has sued his own record label in a misguided attempt to salve his wounds. 'Drake has been pleased to use UMG's platform to promote tracks levelling similarly incendiary attacks at Lamar. But now, after losing the rap battle, Drake claims that 'Not Like Us' is defamatory. It is not.'

How author Torrey Peters made trans history with Detransition Baby

Four years ago, Torrey Peters made history with her debut novel Detransition, Baby when she became one of the first trans fiction writers to be published by a major US publishing house. The novel, a sharp comedy of manners set in the 2010s in Brooklyn's trans community, was a critical and commercial success — a bestseller and winner of the Pen/Hemingway Award, Amazon buying the TV rights, and a spot on The New York Times' best books of the 21st century list. Perhaps more importantly, it opened the gates. "Even though the political times were better [for trans people] when Detransition, Baby came out, I was one of one or two trans women with one of the big four presses that year," Peters tells ABC Arts. "This spring, I can think of 15 or 20 myself, and I'm sure there's more that I don't know." Nobody, including Peters, thought her follow-up would be historical fiction about 19th-century lumberjacks. Or that the characters would speak using near-indecipherable slang words like crackleberry (eggs) and Scandahoovian Dynamite (tobacco) — all taken from a real dictionary collated by the children of loggers. While the titular story of Stag Dance, Peters' follow-up collection, is a world away from 2010s Brooklyn, it was that distance that allowed her to approach questions of identity and gender anew. "Following Detransition, Baby, I felt like there was pressure on me to do something witty and sparkling," says Peters, who was in Australia earlier this year for the Sydney and Melbourne writers' festivals. "And I was like, 'Well, there probably is not a lot of expectations on me to do the logger thing, so I'm free to do it how I want.'" The story was inspired by her own retreat to a long-abandoned log cabin in Vermont, a fixer-upper bought as an escape after the success of Detransition, Baby transformed her into, arguably, the best-known trans writer — overnight to most, though Peters was established within the US's trans literary world via two self-published novellas, which reappear in Stag Dance. "Really, it's a shack — 12 feet by 12 feet, no running water, no electricity, an outhouse," Peters says. "It's very cold, muddy and dirty up there. And I loved it, in some ways. "The area was previously logged, and it's been about 100 years so the forest has grown up — but I thought about people who were living in that forest without even the mild amenities that I had." During her reading, Peters learned about stag dances, an 18th and 19th-century US tradition where outposts of isolated men would throw parties with a select few acting as women for the night, signified via a triangle cloth placed over their crotch. "It seemed like such a funny, potent symbol," she says. "'One of us is a woman, so we just cut some brown fabric and put it over our crotch' — the most on-the-nose, over-simplified thing that you can imagine. Stag Dance's protagonist is Babe Bunyon — a strong, burly beast of a man who surprises everyone, including himself, by volunteering for an "ersatz twat". It's never quite explained why Babe wants to be a "skooch" (sexy lady) for the night. Instead, it's an "unwanted yearning" that arrives and never leaves, though Babe regularly describes his "uncommon size and strength" as a source of agony, lamenting his giant feet and strongman muscles. "He probably does not see himself very clearly," Peters says. "The ways he insults himself are quite extreme — he says things like, 'You could set a beer glass on my brow shelf,' which is a particular site of anxiety for trans women. So, suddenly, I started lending him my insecurities, things that I actually would never say to anybody." We, in the 21st century, might read Babe as a trans woman experiencing dysmorphia, but he lacks that language — a gift to Peters, who says that these terms, while useful to explain trans experience, are somewhat emotionally "ossified" from overuse. "With the brow, you're like, 'That's preposterous, you're dysmorphic,'" Peters says. "But he would never use a word like that. "And trying to have a logger say it without any of the modern language, I rediscovered things that I found pretty magical about the trans experience." Where writing academically about an experience can "deaden" it, she says, resisting that language frees up space to focus on the feelings associated with that experience, instead. At the same time, Peters notes that only a few figures across Stag Dance's four genre-spanning stories — including the apocalyptic Infect Your Friends and Loved Ones, teen love story The Chaser, and sexual thriller The Masker — identify as trans. Babe and most of the other characters fall into what Peters calls the "weird gender feelings" category. More broadly, they all experience some disconnect between how they appear to the world and how they feel inside, something Peters says almost everyone can relate to. "It's highlighted in trans people, but that's more a result of our society," she says. "It exists in cis people [too]." Stag Dance arrives in a much different political climate in the US from Detransition, Baby. Some of the second Trump administration's first executive orders removed hard-earned trans support and rights, including the ability to have a different gender from that assigned at birth on a passport, as well as funds supporting trans youth or any program that "promotes gender ideology". When asked if she worries that the political climate will halt trans literature's mainstream success, Peters is adamant it won't. She points towards those 20 books she mentioned earlier, including works by Rose Dommu, Tommy Dorfman, Harron Walker and Emily St. James. "Although this era is bad, we have more of a voice than we've ever had before," she says. "And I think our stories are better, our art is better, our worldview is more joyous and compelling. I think we have a better time. I think we throw better parties and, if people get a chance to see that, I think they're gonna like what we're doing." Torrey Peters' Stag Dance is out now.
