PDRM helicopter crash victims stable in Johor Bahru hospital
Bukit Aman Internal Security and Public Order Department (KDNKA) director Datuk Seri Azmi Abu Kassim said four of the five victims were showing positive signs of recovery, while the other remained intubated for further treatment.
'I came here today to visit our officers involved in yesterday's incident. I was informed by medical personnel that all five are in stable condition.
'I had the chance to speak with four of the officers and Alhamdulillah, they are in stable condition. Constable R. G. Devendran remains intubated to help reduce movement and assist in his recovery,' he told reporters after visiting all the victims at HSA today.
He spent over an hour visiting the victims at the hospital. Also present was Johor police chief Datuk M. Kumar.
According to Azmi, two officers - air observer Corporal Adeline Liu Yan Siu and Constable R. G. Devendran - were currently being treated in the intensive care unit (ICU), while the remaining three were in the general ward.
He also expressed his appreciation to the medical personnel at HSA for their swift action and intensive care provided to all the victims and prayed for their speedy recovery.
The AS355N helicopter crashed while performing an honour flypast as part of a demonstration during the Multilateral Nuclear Security Detection Exercise (MITSATOM 2025), which involved Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Singapore.
Involved in the crash were helicopter pilot ACP Faizul Mohammad, co-pilot Supt Ahmad Bustamin Baharom, Corporal Adeline, and two personnel from the Tanjung Kupang Police Station - Sergeant Siti Latipa Khairuddin and Constable Devendran.

He recalled how the family — including his father and older brother — were stunned when informed that the helicopter had gone down, just a 10-minute drive from their quarters at the Tanjung Kupang Police Station. "We rushed to HSA and waited anxiously at the emergency and trauma department," said the Polytechnic Ibrahim Sultan student. Now on the road to recovery, Latipa remains under close medical supervision and has not yet been allowed to consume solid food. "She's conscious, can speak, and is responding well. But doctors have advised only fluids — water and milk — for now to avoid complications with her internal injuries." He added that his mother sustained a broken second ankle bone, a cracked left hip, and multiple bruises and cuts from the impact. Latipa was one of five crew members aboard the AS355N helicopter that crashed near the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency jetty during a flypast in the multi-agency simulation held in conjunction with the Nuclear Security Detection Exercise Malaysia-Indonesia-Thailand-Singapore 2025.

Home Ministry warns public of fake TikTok accounts impersonating Saifuddin Nasution offering bogus financial aid
PUTRAJAYA, July 12 — The public has been advised to remain cautious and alert to the existence of fake TikTok accounts misusing the name and image of Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail to deceive unsuspecting individuals. The Home Minister's Office said the fake accounts claim Saifuddin Nasution is offering financial aid through a WhatsApp link placed in the account's bio. 'This is, in fact, a scam aimed at deceiving the public into making advance payments,' it said in a statement today. The office has lodged reports with the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) and TikTok concerning the existence of the accounts. To date, three accounts have been blocked by TikTok, namely Saifuddin_Nasution0; Saifuddin_Nasution1 and Saifuddin_Nasution12. 'However, we do not rule out the possibility that more fake accounts will continue to be created. 'As such, we urge the public to always be cautious, not to be easily taken in, and to verify the authenticity of any information before taking action,' the statement added. The Home Minister's Office stressed that Saifuddin Nasution would never request any form of payment for assistance. 'We will also not hesitate to take legal action against any individuals involved in this scam,' it said.
