During the operation, the team found that the accused were prescribing high-end antibiotics, steroids, intravenous fluids, and strong painkillers, all without formal training or recognised credentials.
During the inspections, officials found that P. Suryalatha, who holds a BAMS degree, was operating BLR Clinic; and Shiva Shankar was found running Srinivasa First Aid Centre, prescribing potent steroids, IV fluids, and painkillers.
The Council has initiated legal proceedings and urged citizens to reach out to WhatsApp helpline at 91543 82727 for sending information about unauthorised clinics.

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has issued a cautionary notice alerting the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2025 aspirants against spoofed notices, emails, SMS, and social media contents being circulated in its name. Reiterating the official websites of NBEMS are and the board has advised the candidates to refer to any information about examinations conducted by NBEMS only through these website links. The official social media account handle on WhatsApp is – Apart from these, the board said that there are no other official handles or channels of NBEMS on any social media platform. All the NBEMS notices issued from July 2020 onwards bear a QR code. Scanning the QR code will redirect the user to the said notice on the NBEMS website. Unscrupulous agents or touts may attempt to mislead candidates by making false and fraudulent claims through spoofed notices, emails, SMS, or social media posts impersonating the NBEMS, with the intent of phishing or extracting sensitive information. Candidates are hereby advised not to be allured or misled by unscrupulous agents / touts making false and bogus claims of helping any candidate in any means by such spoofed emails / SMS or forged documents or social media. NBEMS does not send any email or SMS to candidates regarding securing good marks in any of the exams conducted by NBEMS. If any email, SMS or message on social media is received or circulated in the name of NBEMS, candidates are asked to cross verify the information from the official website of NBEMS. In case any candidate is approached by any unscrupulous agents/touts promising any such undue favor / promising to provide question papers for NBEMS examinations through any spoofed emails/SMS or telephone call or forged documents or personally or through social media, the same may be reported to NBEMS at Email ID –reportumc@ and report the local police for further investigation.

Mumbai hospital doctor who jumped off Atal Setu untraceable after 48-hour search operation
Navi Mumbai: The missing doctor Omkar Kavitake (32) practising at JJ hospital in Mumbai, who had reportedly jumped into the sea from Atal Setu on late Monday night, is untraceable as the frantic search operation was stopped on Wednesday after sunset and will be resumed on Thursday morning, informed the police. Arjun Rajne, senior inspector of Ulwe said, "The search operation using police patrolling boat was continued from 7 am onwards on Wed. The areas along the creek from NRI coastal area till Uran creek was searched throughout the day, but to no avail. A police team on a patrolling boat also searched in the sea near Elephanta caves (Gharapuri Island) till the sunset and has been anchored there for resuming the search operation on Thursday morning. " A police officer said that, as the recovered mobile phone of Dr Kavitake has not been unlocked yet, the WhatsApp and text messages could not be accessed. The messages might give some lead to the reason why Dr Kavitake took the drastic step. He has not left any note before jumping off the sea bridge.
