Jennifer Lopez tour kicks off to a whimper; debuts new Ben Affleck revenge song

Yahooa day ago
(NewsNation) — Say what you will about Jennifer Lopez — but you can't deny the woman wants to perform. Even if it's for ever smaller crowds in more obscure places.
Lopez kicked off her 'Up All Night' tour last weekend in Tafisa Park in Galicia, Spain, last weekend — amid fan uproar over canceled concerts.
The tour, which I exclusively told you about over a month ago, will see Lopez shaking her booty and performing her hits to crowds throughout Spain, Egypt, Poland, Romania, Armenia and, of course, the ultimate music hotspot: Kazakhstan. And unlike the sold-out 60,000-person stadiums she used to perform in, Lopez is expected to perform this time around at hotels and small venues that hold up to 20,000 people.

And while Lopez is performing 19 shows, she's already pissed off a few fans.
Lopez was expected to perform at the luxe five-star hotel, Rixos Radamis, in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, on July 4, but 'per her request,' the date has been postponed to July 30.
According to the Daily Mail, fans were outraged.
Voicing their outrage in Arabic on Instagram, wrote (via translation), 'From my point of view, it's the best of unprofessional attitude to your fans. Why advertise your concert in a few months and throw thousands of people away before the flight?'
Another fan said, 'She has changed the poster four times already. It's not that serious anymore. The scam of the century!'
According to the Daily Mail, 'Guests who stay at the all-inclusive hotel are able to attend the concert for free; however, rates are expensive at $700-$2,000 per night.' Fans can purchase tickets to watch her show online.
Lopez also changed some dates in Turkey to accommodate her own schedule. She was expected to perform at Regnum Carya Golf & Spa Resort in Antalya, Turkey, on August 5. But, this date was moved up to July 23. She is now performing in Istanbul on August 5.
A source told Daily Mail that Istanbul was part of the additional tour dates that have been recently added along with Tashkent, Uzbekistan, on August 7, and Almaty, Kazakhstan, on August 10.
However, while Lopez is a hit in Tashkent, Western Europe is struggling.
The Spanish website, Sur in English, reported in June that her concert in Malaga had 'undergone a sudden change of venue.' Instead of performing at Malaga's Estadio de Atletismo, Lopez will be performing at the Marenostrum stage in Fuengirola, which is a smaller venue. Rather than allowing a maximum of 27,500 attendees, per the site, Marenostrum allows 18,500 fans.
To bolster sales, Lopez is also holding cheap 'meet and Greets' with fans — something she would never do in the States.
An Albanian news website, Tirana Post, said fans could pay $1650 to meet the star while in Spain it will cost you $2,000 to do so.
Meanwhile, I'm hearing Lopez will sing her latest jingle, 'Wreckage of You,' on stage — a homage to her failed marriage to Ben Affleck. In the song she debuted last week to a select group of 30 fans, Lopez warbles: 'The love I want, the love I need, it starts in me… now I found my way here, I'm gonna stay there. Thank you for the scars you left on my heart, was showing me that stars shine brighter in the dark. I won't fall apart because of who we are, but your broken parts.'
The song concludes: 'Because of you, I am stronger, wiser…Better than I've ever been. I won't let you no longer, longer, ever say goodbye to me. It was perfect the while that you made me believe, really got only greater for me, and it made me stronger, stronger, bulletproof. Now watch me climb out of the wreckage of you.'
This should be fun!
After the tour, Lopez will prepare for her 'residence' in Las Vegas — which is a small collection of states over New Years and in March 2026… as spies told me: 'It's not an actual residence. It's a trial run. To see if she can still sell in America.'

The actress, 56, has sparked romance rumors with hypnotist Jim Curtis as she brought him along on a glamorous summer vacation with some of her A-list pals. Aniston has been taking some time off on a yacht in Mallorca with stars including Courteney Cox, Jason Bateman, Olivia Wilde and Amy Schumer. Curtis is among the group enjoying some downtime. In one shot, Curtis appears to be rubbing the actress' shoulders while friends, including Cox, sit nearby on the ship's deck. In another, Aniston is close to grabbing his hand. There's also a shot of the pair appearing to embrace, and possibly sharing a kiss, while onboard the boat, while their friends relax nearby. The PDA shot comes amid reports that Aniston and Curtis are dating. One early sign of their potential romance came when Curtis commented "♥️💪" on a workout video Aniston posted on Instagram in April. The Mallorca yacht trip is the latest getaway Aniston, Bateman and Cox have taken together with other fellow stars. In 2023, the internet loved a photo Kristen Bell shared from a massive celebrity trip to Swan Valley, Idaho. The shot of the long dinner table included Adam Scott, John Mulaney, Olivia Munn, Jimmy Fallon, Lucy Liu and more famous faces. Bateman, 56, and his wife, Amanda Anka, are particularly frequent vacation partners for The Morning Show star. Theroux and Aniston split in 2018 in what they called a "mutual and lovingly made" decision. They said they remained "best friends" and have continued to have a close relationship in the years since their split. Last September, Theroux said Aniston "is still very dear to me" in an interview with The Times as he admitted to feeling "protective" over her. BST Hyde Park Cancels Final Day After ELO Withdraws Due to Jeff Lynne's Health Issues

Organizers of London's annual BST Hyde Park concert series have canceled the event's final day on Sunday (July 13) after Jeff Lynne's ELO withdrew due to medical reasons. On Saturday (July 12), organizers announced that Lynne — whose performance was set to be his final live show — would not appear as planned. 'Jeff has been battling a systemic infection and is currently in the care of a team of doctors who have advised him that performing is simply not possible at this time nor will he be able to reschedule.' Organizers added, 'The legacy of the band and his longtime fans are foremost in Jeff's mind today — and while he is so sorry that he cannot perform, he knows that he must focus on his health and rehabilitation at this time.' Later that day, organizers updated the announcement to confirm that the entire July 13 program would be canceled following Lynne's withdrawal. The lineup was set to include special guests The Doobie Brothers, Steve Winwood and Dhani Harrison. Full refunds will be issued to ticket holders. 'Tonight's performance marks the final night of an incredible edition of BST Hyde Park and we look forward to seeing everyone next year,' the updated statement said. Saturday's lineup featured performances by Stevie Wonder, Ezra Collective, Thee Sacred Souls, Elmiene, Corinne Bailey Rae, and others. Jeff Lynne's ELO concert at BST Hyde Park was announced in October 2024 and billed as the group's final performance following their Over and Out farewell tour in North America and a run of dates in the U.K. On Thursday (July 10), the act's second-to-last concert at Manchester's Co-op Live was canceled at the last minute, with audience members already seated in the venue. Backstreet Boys Kick Off Sphere Residency With Larger-Than-Life Show in Las Vegas

Backstreet's back, alright. You might have thought the Backstreet Boys peaked in the early 2000s, but fans dressed in all white leaving Las Vegas' Sphere Friday night (July 11) would disagree. The group of five arguably put on their best show yet in the high-tech venue right off the strip. Into the Millennium's opening night transported fans to outer space as a massive screen surrounded them with visuals of a spacecraft right before the band appeared on stage. The Backstreet Boys — Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, Brian Littrell, AJ McLean and Kevin Richardson — launched into a night of hits with 'Larger Than Life,' which was the perfect description of the show they had created. More from Billboard Backstreet Boys' 'Into the Millennium' Setlist: Night 1 at Las Vegas' Sphere Goes Beyond the 1999 Album Oasis Storm Back to U.K. No. 1 Following Reunion Tour Boost Watch Justin Bieber Have a 'Sweet Spot' Dance Party With Sexyy Red in New Video Although the show was celebrating the group's landmark album Millennium and journeyed through the entire track list, they also performed the recently released 'Hey,' and they ventured into other albums like Black & Blue. Cue almost 20,000 people dancing to 'The Call' and belting 'Shape of My Heart.' Speaking of belting, the gentlemen's vocals shined. They didn't miss a note or a beat — as they also included all the nostalgic choreography we've come to expect. Highlights of the evening at the over-the-top venue included one moment when the gigantic screen showed the men etched in the side of a mountain during 'Siberia,' and another when they rose high above the crowd on a ship singing signature song''I Want It That Way.' It was the perfect blend of spectacle and heart. They closed the night with 'Everybody (Backstreet's Back).' (See the complete night one setlist here.) As everyone poured out into the streets of Vegas, we'd gamble that many of them will be back to see the show again. The residency continues through Aug. 24.
