From action-packed classics like Black Panther and Avengers: Endgame to more of the lesser-known favourites, here are the top ten rated Marvel Cinematic Universe films of all time, according to Rotten Tomatoes reviewers
The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) stretches across time and space, boasting a dizzying array of characters; from chattering raccoons to brooding Russian spies, all within an impressive tally of 36 films.
Devotees of superheroes and comics can finally find solace as Rotten Tomatoes has settled a long-standing argument by ranking the MCU films according to ratings from genuine moviegoers. The list includes much-loved classics that introduced us to some cherished heroes, alongside record-smashing blockbusters, offering a mixed bag within the top ten.

Utilising the trusted Tomatometer, Rotten Tomatoes has computed an aggregate score from audience reviews, with rankings varying drastically — from an almost flawless 96% to a modest 46%. Eyebrows may be raised at certain entries occupying lofty spots, but many aficionados will rejoice at the revelation that the 2018 sensation Black Panther is perched at the summit, reports the Mirror US.

The film's release triggered renewed fervour for the MCU and proudly took its place in history as their first flick to earn an Oscar.
Hot on its heels is none other than Marvel's Avengers: Endgame, amassing a stellar review score of 94%. Beyond being the top-earning movie globally for several years, it cemented its popularity instantly, touted by fans as "one of the best movies of the genre."
In a surprise twist, 2021's Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings took seventh place, boasting a 92% fan rating. As the 25th instalment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it faced stiff competition but won over viewers with its unique blend of martial arts action, heartfelt storytelling, and stunning visuals.
One reviewer praised: "Shang-Chi is a breath of fresh air in the MCU, blending martial arts action, heartfelt storytelling, and stunning visuals. Simu Liu shines in the lead role, bringing charm, depth, and humor.

"The fight choreography is some of the best Marvel has ever done, and the cultural representation adds a rich, meaningful layer. It's exciting, emotional, and fun from start to finish. Nearly perfect-just wanted a bit more from the villain. Still, a top-tier Marvel experience!".
Another fan raved: "Shang Chi is an emotional and action-packed movie that you will thoroughly enjoy. It introduces a well-built father-son dynamic, has amazing action sequences that utilize Kung Fu very well, and introduces a magical world in an intriguing way."

Meanwhile, Spider-Man: Homecoming swung into fifth place, with fans awarding it an impressive 93% rating. Tom Holland's performance as the web-slinging hero clearly resonated with audiences.
Many Rotten Tomatoes viewers have hailed this film as their "favourite" among the Marvel movies. One enthusiast declared it's "the most ambitious, action-packed, and emotionally satisfying live-action Spider-Man movie ever made."
For those wondering what didn't quite hit the mark, the lowest-rated film received an overall score of 46%, based on reviews. The 2023 release Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania, featuring Paul Rudd as the charismatic hero, has been voted by fans as the worst film in the MCU.

Grey's Anatomy legend addresses possible show return and it's not good news

Former Grey's Anatomy star Sandra Oh has opened up on the possibility of returning to the long-running medical drama Grey's Anatomy star Sandra Oh has shared her thoughts on a potential return to the show, and it's not good news. Sandra is most recognised for her role as cardiothoracic surgeon Cristina Yang in the long-running medical drama. ‌ Cristina was part of the original group of interns, alongside Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo), Alex Karev (Justin Chambers), Izzie Stevens (Katherine Heigl), and George O'Malley (TR Knight). ‌ During her tenure on the show, Cristina was at the centre of numerous high-profile storylines. Her relationship with Preston Burke (Isaiah Washington) notably concluded on their wedding day in the third series, she was left shaken following the hospital shooting at the end of the sixth series, and was aboard the plane that crashed in the eighth series, reports the Mirror US. After ten series, Cristina departed Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital for a job in Zurich, Switzerland. She took up a position at the Klausman Institute for Medical Research, a hospital established by her former mentor and ex-fiancé, Preston. Since then, Sandra has starred in a variety of popular films and TV shows, including Killing Eve, The Chair and Turning Red. More than a decade after her departure from Grey's Anatomy, fans are still holding out hope for Cristina's comeback. However, Sandra has now addressed the possibility, and it's not the news fans were hoping for. ‌ In a chat with Deadline, the 53-year-old actress expressed appreciation for the show's fans, but also stated that she had "to be true" to herself. "What I have noticed, this is ten years out from leaving the show, is the deep appreciation that I have for the people who appreciate Cristina," Sandra said. ‌ "It is that love that has made me go, 'Oh, the fans really, really, really want it,' and for the first time, that's when I started opening up the idea." However, she added: "For me, I think to really be true to the people who enjoy your work, you have to be true to yourself. So, at this point, I don't think so." This sentiment echoes what Sandra expressed last year when probed about reprising her role as Cristina. ‌ "I love that you asked me that, because Cristina Yang is, of course, near and dear to my heart. [But] I will say, not anytime soon, my love," she had previously shared with Entertainment Tonight. "I hope people feel like I did my job, which is that I brought to life a character and she had a growth over ten seasons, and that it was true. She was ready to move on, and so have I." The season 21 finale of Grey's Anatomy aired in May, culminating in a nail-biting cliffhanger as a mother threatened to blow up a gas tank unless Amelia Shepherd (Caterina Scorsone) performed surgery on her child. The explosive conclusion left viewers on the edge of their seats, with the destinies of several characters up in the air. Fans are eagerly awaiting the premiere of season 22 later this year to discover the aftermath of the devastating blast.

I no longer get roles just because I am desirable, says Scarlett Johansson

Scarlett Johansson has revealed that she is no longer offered roles solely because she is considered 'desirable'. The Lost in Translation star revealed that she was offered a string of rom-coms, such as He's Just Not That into You (2009), where only sex appeal was required – something she described as 'deeply unfulfilling'. However, in an interview with the Sunday Times magazine reflecting on how her career has changed, the 39-year-old actress said: 'The messaging is different.' She explained: 'There are many more role models, women are visible in powerful positions, and the opportunities I have had to play women who don't have to just be one thing or another have increased. 'But when I was younger, a lot of the roles I was offered, or I went for, had their ambitions or character arcs revolving around their own desirability, or the male gaze, or a male-centred story. 'That is less frequent, though something has shifted.' Johansson, who starred as Black Widow in nine Marvel films, said that in the early stages of 'responsibility then was just to be productive' in the early stages of her career. The actress added: 'Trying to maintain the momentum of my career and wait for things that felt right. And that is hard because there is an existential angst that comes with waiting, but I had to allow space for the creative process to do its thing. 'It was nerve-racking. I'm in a business where you feel like, at any moment, you'll become irrelevant. But I think it pays of – I know it does.' When asked how she stays motivated during her career, she said: 'There are just so many things that I imagine doing. 'I'd love to do more theatre, a film with a musical element. A horror.' Johansson also said that she looked up to Julia Roberts, Sandra Bullock and Indiana Jones star Harrison Ford when she was younger. She said of Ford: 'He seems so shy and reserved, a private person. But he is also so photogenic, his shyness is revealed through a little twinkle in his eye, his vulnerability shines through. 'Some people just have that star quality.' It comes as Jurassic World: Rebirth, which stars Johansson as Zora Bennett, who leads a team that wants to extract blood from dinosaur hearts in search of a cure for human heart disease, is set to be released this week. Johansson said she is an original Jurassic Park fan and recalled: 'I was blown away as a kid.'
