This comes after complaints and wild speculation from some fans that she barely hosts Lorraine.
Very little is known about the new travel series at the moment, but it has been suggested that Channel 4 is "delighted" to have signed her.

Discussing the new Lorraine Kelly series, a source told The Sun: "Channel 4 were delighted to have Lorraine on board.
"It was exciting for Lorraine to do something different and be on location again.
"Despite the apparent slight in the ITV daytime shake-up, Lorraine's loyal fanbase isn't to be underestimated and they will follow her wherever she goes.
"She's survived in this business a long time, and she's a master at rolling with the punches."

According to TV Zone, this comes after ITV confirmed a new studio home for popular daytime shows like This Morning, Loose Women and Lorraine.
It was announced that these would be joining ITN's headquarters and sharing a studio with a new-look ITV News.
Changes to scheduling were also confirmed, with GMB being extended by 30 minutes, running from 6am to 9:30am daily.
In the 2026 Daytime schedule, Lorraine will also run from 9:30am to 10am, on a seasonal basis for 30 weeks of the year.
Discussing the changes, Kevin Lygo, Managing Director of ITV's Media and Entertainment Division, said: 'Daytime is a really important part of what we do, and these scheduling and production changes will enable us to continue to deliver a schedule providing viewers with the news, debate and discussion they love from the presenters they know and trust as well generating savings which will allow us to reinvest across the programme budget in other genres...
'These changes also allow us to consolidate our news operations and expand our national, international and regional news output and to build upon our proud history of trusted journalism at a time when our viewers need accurate, unbiased news coverage more than ever.'
After receiving criticism from fans after hosting just 59.7% of the episodes of her popular morning show, she took to social media to explain why.
She shared: 'Initially, it was for my mum, who has been ill.
'And it sort of brings you into line with everyone else because if you look at This Morning, everybody else does four days.
'And as I'm getting older, I want to do other things, more writing, all of that. Mate, I've been doing this for 40 years, working my a*** off.'
She added: 'Maybe it just started off as a wee joke, but it's the way that everyone piles on.
'It starts off as a wee tiny thing, and it gets bigger and bigger. I find it really sad.'

Hollyoaks breached Ofcom rules over promotion of fintech app in one episode

Ofcom has found that Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks breached its rules by promoting a financial technology app in an episode of the soap Hollyoaks has fallen foul of two Ofcom regulations following its promotion of a financial technology application within the programme, the watchdog has determined. An instalment of the Channel 4 drama came under scrutiny after ClearScore, the show's sponsor, received both spoken and visual mentions during the broadcast. ‌ The broadcasting authority concluded that the product integration violated two separate guidelines - firstly Rule 9.10 concerning excessive prominence, which stipulates that "references to placed products, services and trade marks must not be unduly prominent". ‌ The second infringement involved Rule 9.9 regarding promotional content, which declares that "references to placed products, services and trade marks must not be promotional". ‌ The controversial product placement featured in the February 18 episode, where Kieron Richardson's character Ste Hay discussed the application with his son Lucas Hay, portrayed by Oscar Curtis, whilst considering purchasing a laptop. Viewers witnessed Ste retrieving his mobile device, displaying the ClearScore application prominently on screen whilst demonstrating its various features and capabilities before telling Lucas: "See this? They've shown me some options – based on my financial situation and it looks like I can get you that laptop for your studies." ‌ He continued: "I really want you to make a go of this, Lucas – (gesturing to the ClearScore app on his phone) and these guys are going to help me make it happen." The report revealed that the broadcaster acknowledged the references were made due to a product placement agreement, separate from an arrangement with the company sponsoring the soap. ‌ Channel 4 informed the regulator that the references were editorially justified and clarified that "part of the sponsorship and product placement agreements, potential integrations into existing storylines were proposed to ClearScore by the programme editorial team, in consultation with the programme compliance team." ClearScore had no editorial input into the storyline of the programme". Channel 4 further explained that Ste's character was central to the plot at the time, as he was attempting to rebuild his family after the death of a partner and spending a year in a coma. The broadcaster added: "part of this storyline (was) his return to work to support his family, which (included) rebuilding his relationship with son Lucas and providing for him". ‌ The investigation concluded that the references exceeded its editorial justifications for the storyline and became more of a "demonstration" of how to use the app rather than a passing remark. Ofcom also determined that the references were promotional as they described and demonstrated how to use the app, thereby promoting the brand. A Channel 4 representative has acknowledged the regulator's verdict, stating: "We acknowledge Ofcom's decision and will review its findings carefully. Our compliance responsibilities are of paramount importance to us and we will continue to engage with Ofcom and our partners to ensure our content remains compliant".

Celebrity Bake Off 'signs up iconic British girlband star as she joins A-list line-up'

Celebrity Bake Off is heating up – and an iconic British girlband star is reportedly set to join a slew of A-listers in the tent. The next series, set to air in 2026, will see Sugababes star Mutya Buena, 40, take part in the Channel 4 show to raise money for Stand Up To Cancer, according to The Sun. A TV insider told the publication: 'Mutya will be seeing if she can get a handshake from Paul Hollywood when she goes into the tent. 'She doesn't consider herself much of a baker, but it's for charity and there are bound to be some.' MailOnline has contacted Channel 4 and Mutya's representative for comment. Mutya will be hoping to find her footing in the kitchen after her Celebrity MasterChef appearance last year, where she struggled with a cheesecake challenge. She famously created a buttery biscuit base that was so thick you could have used it to wedge open a door. Despite crashing out of the competition, the singer said she was proud of her progress. She said: 'I wanted to do Celebrity MasterChef because I enjoy cooking in general and I love cooking for my family and friends. 'I wanted to learn some new things in the kitchen, some new tricks that I could bring home.' The upcoming Stand Up To Cancer special is already shaping up to be a star-studded affair. Hollywood actress Ambika Mod, 29, who rose to fame in This Is Going To Hurt and more recently starred in One Day, will also reportedly be stepping into the tent alongside Geordie Shore favourite Vicky Pattison, 37. Also joining the line-up are comedian Babatunde Aleshe, 38, Love Island star Molly-Mae Hague, 26, and former Celebrity Big Brother contestant JoJo Siwa, 22. They'll be joined by RAG 'N' Bone Man, 40, broadcaster Edith Bowman, 51, and 8 Out of 10 Cats regular Jon Richardson, 42 – all ready to be judged by Cherish Finden and Paul Hollywood in the iconic Bake Off tent. The news of Mutya's appearance comes after Prue Leith, 85, announced she was stepping away from all Great British Bake Off specials earlier this year (L-R Paul, Prue, Noel, and Alison pictured last year) The news of Mutya's appearance comes after Prue Leith, 85, announced earlier this year that she would be stepping away from all Great British Bake Off specials. Her place was temporarily filled by food writer Caroline Waldegrave, 72, during the most recent celebrity series. Prue confirmed the news on This Morning, explaining she will continue on the main show alongside Paul, 59, but will no longer appear on spin-offs.

Conor McGregor shares unusual morning routine after explicit photos leak

Conor McGregor has been embroiled in a leaked explicit photo scandal involving rapper Azealia Banks. Conor McGregor has posted for the first time on social media after supposed nude photos of him were leaked. The ex-two-weight UFC champion found himself in the spotlight when rapper Azealia Banks posted images on X, previously Twitter, allegedly depicting a naked McGregor working out with his private parts on show. ‌ In a video uploaded on X on Tuesday morning, the 37-year-old shared his morning ritual while aboard his yacht, which involved dunking his head in a bowl of ice-cold water with cucumber slices. ‌ Initially, the Irishman is seen declining a photo request from a fan - who appears to be waiting on the dock. He then flaunts his watch before revealing a bowl filled with ice, water, and cucumber slices. ‌ A lively McGregor then immerses his head into the bowl for a few seconds before resurfacing and repeating the process once more. McGregor, who is currently soaking up the sun in Sardinia with his family, concluded the video with a grin, announcing: "We have arrived! The McGregors have arrived!" Despite recent controversies, the 'Notorious' seemed to be in high spirits. McGregor broke his social media silence on Monday evening following allegations of sending inappropriate images to Banks. In a move that sidestepped the controversy, also posted: "Happy birthday to me." He has proceeded to repost comments from other users referencing the supposed nude images throughout the day, while also making several remarks on Irish current affairs. McGregor has previously set out his apparent intention to run for President of Ireland. This update follows an incident just a day prior, where he was spotted kissing a brunette who wasn't his fiancée, Dee Devlin. Over the weekend, he was caught on camera living it up on a Florida beach, jet skiing and then getting cosy with an unidentified woman. ‌ Photographs captured McGregor laying out a towel for her and draping an arm around her, while The Sun reported that the 'Notorious' seemed to enjoy the attention from female fans in the vicinity. Following the recent controversy surrounding the UFC icon, Devlin - McGregor's fiancée - seems to be supporting her partner despite the emergence of compromising photos. The couple, engaged since 2020 and parents to four children, remain a united front. ‌ On Monday, Devlin reposted a fan account's birthday tribute on social media, which read: "Happy Birthday to the person who always keeps Dee entertained and makes her smile." She also shared a collection of snaps with McGregor. The Dubliner has not fought since July 2021 and his June 2024 bout against Michael Chandler has not been rescheduled. ‌ Last November, a High Court civil jury found McGregor civilly liable for assaulting Nikita Hand. He faced allegations of "brutally raping and battering" Ms Hand at a hotel in south Dublin back in November 2018. McGregor maintained that their sexual interactions at the Beacon Hotel were consensual. The jury sided with her, with €248,603.60 in damages awarded. McGregor has mounted an appeal against the ruling that got underway earlier this month. Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community!
