These developments come amid growing signs that the military operations in Gaza may be nearing their end, due to mounting international pressure and remarks from former U.S. President Donald Trump, who recently stated: "The hostages must be released now… There are 20 still alive, and Israel has to make a decision." Trump added, "I know what I would do, but I'm not sure I should say it," which, according to Maariv, fueled speculation about the existence of an undisclosed American plan to end the war, potentially involving sensitive issues such as reconstruction and even resettlement of Gaza's population.
